Just cut out the BS, Eisen! In the old days, we could talk about Who beat Who, when they didn't meet head's up. But not today, we have playoff system now. Every good team that loses says "they had a bad game against..." But if you choke when you get the opportunity, then you ain't the Champs, are ya? Bottom line is Michigan had the opportunity, and MICHIGAN LOST. They were beat, choked, collapsed, out-played, etc. Pick your excuse, but don't play the BS of "if Michigan had played". They did play in the playoffs and weren't good enough to get past TCU! Bottom line is Michigan lost and are, at best, the 3RD best team in Collage Football. Your show, so you can be a petty little whiner all you want, but it don't change facts.
I have. Most of the last 20 yrs. Then he got emotionally intoxicated thinking Michigan was actually a viable champion. And even more entertaining, he actually thought his inbred homeboys were better than Ohio St. Let's cut him some slack. Reality check can be tough
I mean, did anybody really think TCU could play with Georgia? How they got past Michigan is a mystery. Of course, “media” propping them up, makes you start thinking, “maybe they’re better than I thought. But they had one of the worst defenses in the country. Somewhere around 120.
It's the national championship, you have to prop them up. It's the media job to promote the game just like the super bowl. Broncos got up sold to be the greatest offense ever in their super bowl. Media creates storylines.
Michigan played a bad game against TCU and TCU played excellent. Conversely, Georgia played arguably their best game and TCU looked overwhelmed. While I am biased as a Michigan fan, I do believe if Michigan played at their best against Georgia last night it definitely would not have been a blowout
You must be joking! Georgia would have committed the same azz kicking crime as they did against TCU to Michigan! I just feel bad for TCU, but I would have enjoyed the slaughter of Michigan, instead.
I think Michigan loses as well, but doesn’t lose as bad…. The Georgia team defense last year was much better than this years team… how TCU only scored 7 is very odd.
Maybe because TCU was incredibly overrated. They had such an easy schedule this year, and nearly every game was close. A few plays don't go TCUs way and they're out of the top 25 with a 7-6 record.
He's saying that a better version of Ohio State showed up against Georgia than what showed up against Michigan. Think before opening your mouth and proving how stupid and biased all of you Michigan fans are. Congrats are choking another playoff game.
If by some miracle Harbaugh isn’t brain dead in the TCU game and we squeak out a win, Georgia would have curb stomped them cause we forgot how to play defense and Harbaugh is a master at the art of choking
If Michigan plays that game, it’s still a rough time for them, but it would not have been this bad. Georgia is the worst matchup TCU could’ve gotten, and did what Michigan said they’d do to TCU. TCU played their best game of the year to beat a mistake-ridden Michigan team, but got about what should’ve been expected in the title game. No disrespect to TCU, but how many of their players are even going to be drafted much less make it in the NFL? They proved a lot of people wrong and should be very proud of what they accomplished.

Ohio state was number two the majority of the season they lost to their bitter rival and everyone acted like they were trash. UGA played Ohio State that was that Number 2 ranked team. The playoff committee is most definitely kicking their own butt today for not having TCU Vs. UGA & OSU Vs. Michigan in the playoffs.
Michigan wasn't prepared for their game against TCU. If they were, the outcome may have been different. TCU was ready for Michigan and they deservedly won. TCU was prepared for Georgia but, like a TCU player admitted after the loss, the Bulldogs are a team of a higher tier. I enjoy sports but I find it fascinating just how childish some adults get when their team loses or is slighted by someone. I think they call it Peter Pan syndrome
The 2022 NFL draft featured record-setting draft results for the Georgia Bulldogs, the reigning College Football Playoff national champions. Georgia had 15 players selected in the NFL draft, eclipsing the previous modern-era record of 14 picks, which was set by Ohio State in the 2004 NFL Draft and later tied by LSU in 2020. The Bulldogs have five defensive players selected in the first round from a unit that allowed a national-best 10.2 points per game last season. Georgia alone was responsible for nearly a quarter of the Southeastern Conference's 65 selections, which tied a record the SEC set in 2021. Georgia was basically an NFL team in 2021. The draft this year will prove to be the same. Go Dawgs!!
At the end of the day, college kids are still college kids. Georgia had a relatively close game vs. Kent State, had to rally to come back vs. Mizzou. There is simply no denying this: no other team in college football was going to play with Georgia yesterday, and it sucks that it was that ugly, but this Georgia program is simply at a different tier right now, and I have no idea how Ohio State nearly beat them, just as much as I have no idea how Michigan lost to TCU, and now I'm just going in circles because I'm frustrated and confused.
I was a student at Ann Arbor the same time when Rich was there. What I can say without shame is that U of M has a very old culture of losing -- in football and in basketball. We can go back to the Bo Schembechler days when the Wolverines would win a bunch of games, go to the Rose Bowl, and lose. They managed to win one national title under Lloyd Carr, but even that title was shared with another school (I think it was Nebraska). They won one basketball title, but lost 3 or 4 others. Michigan simply has a tradition of choking most of the time when it matters.
Georgia played poorly against Ohio State…and still beat an Ohio State team who played their best game of the year. If Georgia played any team in the country last night, they would’ve been destroyed. No questions asked. Georgia playing their best was unbeatable this year.
How is that? Because you say? please explain. I think some of you Georgia fans are such losers, you have to come up with some kind of excuse because the score was close. Even if Georgia wins the next several years, it doesn't change the mentality of a loser.
Totally. Rich didn't even get to finish his story. Not sure where B gets off always butting in and trying to draw attention to himself. I watch the Eisen show to hear Eisen, who in my opinion is a uniquely gifted sports commentator. Note to sidekicks... stick to being a sidekick.
Rich said the committee got the seedlings correct because OSU had to earn the right for a rematch with Michigan, implying the Big Ten took priory in determining seeding. Chris is right to call him out.
Ladd McConkey is not a real name. That cannot be a real human. That's a Madden Create-a-player name... randomized. Dork McGork is a realer name than Ladd McConkey.
I feel like Michigan does this every year.. play Ohio State... Tough.. best game of their year and then they go to a bowl game and look like they don't belong.. they embarrass the big ten every year
If the scheduling in college football was better maybe there wouldn't be these kinds of fan fiction arguments. But the fact is the top 25 teams usually only play maybe 5 or 6 competitive games per season. The rest of their schedules are padded out with games against community colleges and orphanages and stuff
@@DavesCarWash Plus Michigan's first 4 games were at home in Michigan Stadium & Mich was 11-0 w 8 homes games by the time they went to Columbus. So before playing Ohio St, Mich had 3 away games vs IA, IND & Rut. Not exactly murderer's row.
From my pov, I don't think that's what Eisen was trying to say. Unfortunately, we didn't get to hear it because Brockman took it upon himself to interrupt the story and come to a premature conclusion about what Eisen was laying out.

This turned into ESPN for a sec. Rich is right here tho. You can't say any other good team would get blown out because that's why you play the game. They haven't played each other so you can't assume outcome.
But they did play each other a year ago and it was similarly one-sided. Granted, half of that team got drafted away. But there is recent history and it was many of the same players, with the same result.
The claimed targeting with Ohio State vs Georgia was much worse than the TCU vs Michigan one. The TCU vs Michigan one was almost as soft as the Arkansas vs Kansas nonsense targeting call.
Love you Rich but I couldn't pretend to watch this video. As a TCU fan I know what every Michigan fan thinks so I can kinda guess how this videos goes..."Michigan could have at least given them a game". No one was beating a UGA perfectly executing that night but as a TCU fan I will say the underdog fight we had all year wasn't there at all regardless of the talent difference. Everyone just seemed happy to be there. Michigan was in that game against us and didn't execute enough. We got in and got clubbed like a baby seal but even if TCU never makes another CFB playoff I'd rather see the TCUs, Boise Staes, and Cincinnatis of the world get in because it makes the game more exciting than the CFB Playoff presented by the SEC and Big 10. Still love your show and keep up the good work.
The UGA margin of victory over TCU can’t just be translated to other teams when we saw them barely scrape out a win against OSU a week ago. It reminds me of ‘21 when OSU blew out MSU and everyone thought that would translate to the Michigan game the next week because MSU beat Michigan. As we know they’re different matchups, different games, anything could happen.
TCU vs Georgia is the result of a flawed playoff system. A playoff system that has made college football less competitive and top heavy but a playoff system that also allows weaker teams in just because they have one loss from an easy schedule. When you combine those two things you get bad games. TCU should’ve never been in that game last night.
lol stop it. Flawed.. how? Bowls are flawed. Coaches and AP polls are flawed... that's how we ended up with co-national champions. College football is inherently flawed because of the number of teams, as opposed to the NFL. A playoff is as close to fair as there is. Automatic conference bowl tie ins aren't fair. They're a joke, and need to be done away with, like every other 1950's thinking.
Big time Bama fan here; Michigan would beat TCU four times of five. How often does a team pull off TWO pick sixes in one game. How often does a team of Michigan’s quality fumble headed into the end zone from the half yard line? TCU played very well, but they also benefitted from crazy things that probably wouldn’t happen but once a decade. Michigan would have given Georgia a better game, though Georgia would have won.
Michigan should have won that game, could have won that game, would have won that game, but did not. The wolverines are the only ones who must bear the burden of a lost opportunity. Rich, your associate is a confused individual.
Sorry Rich it wasn’t targeting. If one watches the video, the receiver was getting spun to the ground by the other defender. The guy would need the reflexes of Superman to target. But more obviously, he hit him in the back and shoulder. And yes, Michigan would have gotten boat raced too.
Georgia and Alabama aren’t rivals. To compare Michigan playing Ohio State every year isn’t the same. Alabama only has two true rivals and that is Tennessee and Auburn and they do play them every year.
Yes. When you are dealing with 19 - 21 year old's (*except Stetson Bennett), strange things will happen. Sadly, Michigan laid a big fat egg against TCU, a game they should have won by two or three touchdowns. With that said, as a diehard Michigan fan, I have to believe GA would still have beaten Michigan.
Rich got triggered really bad. Georgia curbstomped Michigan last year. Michigan was better last year than this year. Michigan would’ve lost the exact same way.
Chris is right. Ohio State played thei A game against UGA and Georgia played their C game. Georgia still won and they missed field goals just like Ohio State.
@@mauricioochoa4179 Agreed, but both teams missed field goals and both had injuries. Ohio State played their best game and still lost. I could say Georgia outplayed Alabama when they lost in OT, but that wouldn’t change the outcome. Good teams find a way to win when they don’t play their best.

Chris, get you some son! Rich and Chris great back and forth! Georgia absolutely could've be the Texans last night!
Georgia against the Texans would have been a meal ticket for the Bulldogs
I’ve seen some Michigan fans say they should’ve been in the Natty. But, they allowed 51 points to a team subsequently got only 7 against Georgia. Georgia was simply the best, and for me, GA/Ohio State game was the real Natty! That was a damn good game!
I love Chris putting Rich in his place, somewhat respectfully, since it is not his show. LOL

But Georgia won
Yes they did, so many people don't even know that and if they did, they never mention it, they just ignore it!
Oh give it up with the Mizzo crap.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: That UGA team, playing that well, beats everyone, and I mean everyone, by 4 scores.
Teams are different from week to week. You can't assume Michigan would have an A+ game in the matchup where TCU played an F. Part of it is the opponent and how well they decide/will themselves to play.
they don't beat Bama by 4 scores
@@drewrockwell8000Yes they do. Bama nearly lost 5 games this year.

Exactly this. The same logic used to say that Michigan would have lost to Georgia badly because they lost to TCU can be used with OSU vs Georgia. Also Michigan is a lot closer in talent to Ohio and Georgia.
@@joelaton1062 No, you don’t know that. The same team UGA had to pray for a botched FG to beat with 3 seconds left in the game (a game played in the state of Georgia) is the same team that got absolutely stomped in their own place by Michigan. To say you could’ve predicted the outcome had Georgia and Michigan played is ludicrous. There is an insane amount of variance in CFB which is why it is so fun to watch.

I love the show but it’s so hard to listen to Chris. That man has some awful takes
The accomplished nothing. no conference title. No Natty.

People thought Ohio State was gonna get curb-stomped by GA, too, and they almost won the thing. Any given game, you never know.
The point of why a real playoff is needed
not by the lack of Ohio st defense who got outscored 18-3 in the last 8 minutes of the game.quit whining and crying. Ohio St lost because the Ohio st defense could not stop the Georgia offense. Stetson Bennett passed for more yards than Stroud. Georgia rushed for more yards than Ohio St. Ohio St lost. get over it.
Georgia is easily better than OSU. They played bad that day and still won 😂
Michigan played Georgia in playoffs last season and got boat raced
Yeah but that Georgia team last year pretty much boat race everybody except Alabama although they did beat the Tide in the NC
That has about as much relevance as saying In 1957 Michigan boat raced Georgia.
Boat raced again too
Chris you’re right!! Michigan would have got the same whipped that TCU did!!!
Michigan is never prepared in n
Bowl games
Go Dawgs!!
This is looking like Skip vs shannon
Did they?

If the scheduling in college football was better maybe there wouldn't be these kinds of fan fiction arguments. But the fact is the top 25 teams usually only play maybe 5 or 6 competitive games per season. The rest of their schedules are padded out with games against community colleges and orphanages and stuff

Love you Rich but I couldn't pretend to watch this video. As a TCU fan I know what every Michigan fan thinks so I can kinda guess how this videos goes..."Michigan could have at least given them a game".

I’m with you Rich 100%. How did the Wolverines who destroyed the Bucks in the shoe lose to the team that showed up at SoFi?

The UGA margin of victory over TCU can’t just be translated to other teams when we saw them barely scrape out a win against OSU a week ago.
It reminds me of ‘21 when OSU blew out MSU and everyone thought that would translate to the Michigan game the next week because MSU beat Michigan.
As we know they’re different matchups, different games, anything could happen.
THANK YOU! Michigan always chokes at bowls, they’re an embarrassment outside of the conference anyways
Wow. I've never seen Rich come off less likable than he does in this clip. Totally unhinged. Kudos to Chris for doing what he could.

Big time Bama fan here; Michigan would beat TCU four times of five. How often does a team pull off TWO pick sixes in one game. How often does a team of Michigan’s quality fumble headed into the end zone from the half yard line?
