Good afternoon! Thank you for the interesting and informative video! It's always interesting to watch the plot when it's so well shot. Have a nice day! 😊 👍 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹
let's get ready for St Patrick's day the !! this is a nice video as usual ! i saw fairies :) and learned we can make buttermilk. never heared of it before ^^ it's cool ! thank you lovely !
@@TastyThriftyTimely you’re sweetheart I’m feeling ok, found a treatment for my chronic cold problem :) ❤️ and still rocking your magic turmeric recipe ;) hope you’re both good too
Oh interesting question. I’ve never baked this on the stove top myself but I would suggest flattening the loaf as much as you can and potentially dividing it into four smaller loaves so they can cook through a little more quickly. I would probably try low to medium low heat to start just so the bottom doesn’t burn before the bread is cooked through. I would guess it would need at least 10 minutes per side. You will have to keep an eye on it and adjust the heat and time since I haven’t tried it myself but it should certainly work! Let me know how it goes!
If you follow the recipe link to our blog you can change the measurements in the recipe card from cups to metric. I will copy the metric measurements here for you! 365 grams soy milk (or unsweetened plant milk of choice) 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar) 250 grams all-purpose flour 160 grams whole wheat flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda
Oh that’s too bad I’m sorry to hear that. There is an option to convert the measurements from US to metric in the recipe card on our blog but I’ll have to double check them and make sure there isn’t a mistake. Adding the milk a little at a time could help prevent that but it’s not ideal for sure. I hope you were able to get something edible out of it at the end. I had that problem once with another recipe and I think I cut the bread up and made croutons instead 🙃
@@TastyThriftyTimely Yes good idea, i'll do that next time. Haha, I'm a mess in the kitchen so this is no surprise, it's edible but has some spots where it looks a bit undercooked I think, I'm not sure. I didn't know there was a blog! I just looked up how to make soda bread vegan on youtube.
@@katebush8415 oh ya in the description of all my videos on UA-cam there is a link to the written recipe on my blog. If you have both the video and the written recipe up, that should make the process easier for sure. Thank you for trying the recipe and I hope that if you make it again the measurement conversions on the blog will be helpful!
What's your St. Patrick's Day go to recipe? ☘
a vegan version of Dublin Coddle
@@frithkin oh cool! I’ll write this down. I’ve never had one but it looks great!
@@TastyThriftyTimely Its so so good there are a couple of videos of vegan versions on UA-cam , its basically sausages caramelised onions and potatoes

@@TastyThriftyTimely you are welcome . I hope you enjoy making it ( and eating it of course !)
I have made this bread without soy milk or any milk. I just used apple cider vinegar and water and it turns out perfect 👌
Awesome to know it works without the extra fat from the milk! Thanks so much for letting me know. I’ll try that next time I make it 👍🏼
OH NO!

Haha well let us know how you like it when you do!

What if I want bake this on stove? For how long I have to bake this? On medium or low flame?

mine turned out way too wet, i kept adding flour but was still a lot wetter than yours. I might have made a mistake while converting cups to grams.
