When I tell you that your options made a WORLD of difference.🤯 That 8K Bitrate recommendation is AMAZING… I’m broadcasting from a decent laptop (which connects to my XBOX) with specs far less than yours and my recording and streaming STILL look amazing now. Bro I can't thank you enough for this, I just started streaming a month ago and my CPU usage is at 100% my game is running at 144fps but the stream output is lagging, after applying these setting my CPU usage went down and the stream output looked way better.
Holy shit thank god ur cpu didn't get fried that's dangerous.
@@agedarmyofgod5249 uhh. CPU's are built to be able to run at 100% if need be. If you don't limit FPS and the CPU is a bottle neck it will always be at 100%. It's not going to fry the CPU, maybe just lower the performance and general life of it faster.

Should you change quality from p7 to say p5 or p6 if you're downscaling from 1440p to 1080p or will it not make a difference in the load on the machine?

so i have my stream working just fine and wanted to just tune it up a little. This is somthing i found months ago but when i choose my base canvas as my actual resolution (3440x1440) and set scaled resolution is set to 1080p and man does it lag and have tons of problems. oddly i just set both to 1080p and it looks great and still full screen. Im still figuring this stream stuff out a year later!
Can you show us the settings for both ons and vertical plug-in as well?

I'm going to use this to test my obs settings. Been having unstable issues as it going in the red when I have a 5900x and a 3070 single build pc.
i there thanks for this amazing vidéo ! I have a weird issue, i stream in 1080P 60 fps, that what is showed on twitch when i stream, but when i go on the vod, i only have: source, 720P, 460, .... why the 1080 is not showing in the vod ?
When using the down scaling in the video tab does that also downscale your recordings if you arent streaming?

eposvox did a really extensive video comparing P7 to P6.. its a VERY minimal difference in quality but HUGE performance hits .. he recommended P6
there is a reason why many encoders call this x.264 preset "placebo". This preset is more of a tech demo than something you should really use.

What if I need some help setting up, under output and encoder settings mine looks completely different than yours.. am I missing equipment?
so i have a amd 264 right but it also has a 265 option so which one should i use difference is one says (avc) and the other says (hevc)
Thank you for your informative video. But I have a question. On the advance section DELAY you have 20s, I saw that mine also has 20s delay. Why is that necessary? So if I ask a question I have to wait 20s to get an answer on the live chat? But I followed how you set things up`, accept for the audio because you have a different set up, then everything should be fine? By the way, I am not gaming but coloring a coloring book while life coaching. Therefore, I am not taxing my laptop as much. I just hope by following your set up, I am no longer lagging. I have been using an overlay gif from Canva that loops and I think that this caused my lagging. I will write a comment again if my lagging has improved based on your set up. Nevertheless, thank you for the video.
