Pretty mind blowing so many people still latch on that they are stars and not disposable by- products of the offensive line and fitting the scheme. Imagine like 26yo starting QB on a super bowl winner getting released like "nah don't need you lmao" and then he gets cut in training camp on a worse team a few months year. That alone shows you how disposable they are

I’d actually pay the O-line way more then other positions with exception to QB and TE. Just look at the previous Super Bowl champs on offense. Great OLine, meaning they can make any RB look GREAT, protection of QB and a QB/TE duo. That’s all you need on offense.
Ha, Name five TEs that should be paid more then Justin Jefferson actually name one. TE is a position u put a player that has talent but doesn't fit any position. You don't draft a TE and be like yep now we are title contenders. GB losses Adams they shit now

Yes duprees stats might not look good but the titans d is a whole different group when he is on the field rather than off they get more pressure and more sacks when he is there so really that is what they are looking for now
I love Cj Moseley alot when he was with us and I cant hate him for leaving, we weren't going to give him that money, he got burnt when he was in coverage but number 1 when it came to the run stop, and blitzing, hes the middle linebacker that you wanted back in the day until these much faster type of style offenses came out! Always hope the best for him, he seems to be doing good this year!
The issue with Zeke is he has way less rushing attempts. 244 in 2020 (15 games) and 237 in 2021 (17 games). If you multiple his YPC by at least 300 attempts then you get 1,200 and 1,260 yards.
Frank Clark is overpaid, yes, but he’s having a solid season this year and he’s a decent edge rusher. It’s not worth the money, but it’s not as much of a dead contract as Golladay or Zeke. The off the field issues just suck. At least we’ll be able to dump Clark soon with the emergence in recent weeks of 1st round pick George Karlaftis.
Now at the end of the season, CJ Mosley looks like an all pro, Christian Kirk had his best career year and looks like he is building great chemistry with Trevor Lawrence. Might be a great duo in the future.
i hate franks contract as well but he made some very key sacks/play in the chiefs 2019 playoff/super bowl push and it’s lessened the blow of him not hitting that 13 sack mark.
Tbh, Zeke hasn’t really been bad since the contract. But pollard is getting more and more Carries each season. Elliott still had at least 4.0 y/a each season since. It’s obvious that he isn’t as good as his 2018 self, but I feel like pollard being added hurt Elliott’s contact cause you’re almost obligated to give him more attempts with how he played. I think Elliott’s contact is an interesting subject because his contract would probably be considered “worth it” if they never drafted Pollard. It’s safe to say the contract wasn’t worth it, but it hasn’t been a horrible return either. I feel like 5 million less than his current contract would he a fine contract.

The worst thing about zekes contract from my understanding is the way years are guaranteed. From listening to a cowboys podcast they explained that seasons became guaranteed a year in advance unlike typical contracts which become guaranteed in the offseason once finished with guaranteed part; for example the 2021 season became guaranteed at the start of the 2020 season, the 2022 season became fully guaranteed at the start of the 2021 season. The 2023 season became guaranteed back in august. They This made sure if you moved on early you were going to get around 30 million in dead money instead of just the remaining signing bonus. Their out is at the end of 2023 which will be 11 million in dead money. Horrific. He’s gotten around 50 million of his contract so far but more has been guaranteed because of how it’s structured. You could see with your eyes in 2018 he wasn’t the same guy even though the stats didn’t show it yet.
Great video and I know this was made awhile back, but CJ Mosely ended up being an all pro this year. Would agree that the contract looked bad over the majority of the contract
giving RB big contracts is always a bad idea. you draft one and use the 4 or 5 years of rookie contract and then draft antoher one. its not a premium position and you can take top 5 RB in the 2 3 round

I’ve been a Broncos fan since 96 in a contract they gave Wilson is horrible they literally aren’t doing anything over there the whole organization needs to get their shit together
The only positions REALLY worth paying a bag for imo are: QB O line Edge Safety (they can make up for poor Corner play but the same isn’t true vice versa imo) Linebacker And maybe WR but you have to be one of the ELITES
Jerry Jones is no doubt one of the greatest owners in sports history but he is also one of the dumbest and most stubborn. Elliott's contract was a huge mistake, Pollard is a better back and deserves to be the starter. I'm not even a fan of the cowboys.
I would say Byron Jones' contract was a slight overpay, rather than a bust. His stats got worse when he came to Maimi because he was targeted more. No one wanted to throw at X, so they threw at Jones. When he is healthy he is a solid CB,
long ago I heard it said ,the govt owns pro football, since they merged , now looking at these contracts, at the very least ,no way NFL pays taxes, rooting for players to make that much a year ,while poor people get audited , seems lame ,..🤔
Players can't do anything about injuries except better conditioning, accidents will happen they're not trying to go out there and to get hurt. When Mosley opted out of the second season though after being hurt a whole season it's tough to come back after two years off.
David Bahktari hands down is the worst contract. He got paid and still isn’t playing full time. He’s missed 2 post seasons, a full season and he hasn’t played half of the teams snaps this year.
Personally I think no one should be on any more than anyone else, especially when there is such a disparity. Mahomes is on 45 million a year. He is good but not worth that amount, whilst Hurts is not even in double figures, which is insane.
Seahawks seem to have a habit of taking great players, past their prime while paying them prime money (or giving up prime draft picks) for a player that doesn't live up to what was given up.
I don’t love this video mainly because there’s a lot more to it for some of these players like Jared Goff, when he was with the Rams after that super bowl had no offensive line. And the funny thing is Stafford was struggling to with no offence of line. And Frank Clark wasn’t great in the regular season but in the playoffs he bald out.
Jamal Adams may have had a great year last year, the Hawks even changed their base defense to better suit Adam's style.... to bad we'll never know because he was out after week 2
I feel like putting Kirk on here isn’t fair. The deal isn’t too as WRs have started to get paid like a premium position. He’s also been a solid contributor.
Jamal Adams gets to much slander. He's still a great player and a dawg, bro was playing good football with like 4 injuries. I will say he does have to stay healthy but real Seahawks fans know his worth fr.
these kind of contracts make sense if you look at the collegiate level then the pros; most college players get drafted around the age of 21-24; Rookie NFL contract is 4-5 year deal by that time a player is 26-27 so most players depreciate in value due to their age although they in their prime; but owners don't want to pay players all that money so they put a franchise tag on the players. This is a win for the owners but not for the players, just look at basketball & baseball its a different story, football players should go to the pros after two years of college that way it would be a better situation for both parties.
This video does not take into account of injuries! Zeke and Jamal were both impact players that can elevate other players around them. Unfortunately injuries is a big part of the game!
In 2018 saquon had the better season that zeke with a worse o line and worse play calling. Zeke may of had more rushing yards but saquon had 100 less carries. Saquon also lead the league in all purpose yards and had more tds that zeke.
While Christian Kirk's season wasn't an all-time great one, I gotta believe there's at least one other contract that's not on this list that should replace him here, probably a few. He had a pretty good year, and while he's still a bit overpaid for his production, I don't think his is one of the ten worst contracts currently.
Before Game 1 reports on Byron Jones have been that he was getting closer to coming back from injury. Maybe next game. It's now week 18 and reports remain the same. Maybe we'll see him next game.
Please, the fact that they have Goff on here and not Carson is mindblowing. At least Goff looks solid on his second team. Wentz has been garbage since 2019 on three different squads for MORE MONEY lmao

I'm very surprised not to see Desean Watson on top of this list.
Jets robbed the Seahawks for two first round picks for adams he’s great player but no where near worth what they paid
This was Jamal Adams last big contract, to get the money you have to be on the field.
I think Rodgers and Kyler Murray should be on here too. Also if the ravens pay Lamar he might end up on a future video like this.
Zeke numbers drop soon as he got paid
Patriot already laid the blueprint for a successful dynasty. That organization built the greatest dynasty with great O-Lines and serviceable backs.
I like the fact I have to work everyday and go to the grocery store and spend 300 dollars a week to feed myself and one other, I hope these guys can survive
Arron Rodgers is to high and I’m a packers fan so that says ALOT
patriots have a history of paying two tight ends with nice contracts, Grimm and Hernandez as an example.
Kirk got paid greatly and gave back. 84 catches for 1,108 yards and 8 touchdowns. Great signing by the Jags.
As a Hawks fan, I forgot adams was even on our team until this video
Bros injured that's probably why
I’ve been a Broncos fan since 96 in a contract they gave Wilson is horrible they literally aren’t doing anything over there the whole organization needs to get their shit together
The only positions REALLY worth paying a bag for imo are:
QB
O line
Edge
Safety (they can make up for poor Corner play but the same isn’t true vice versa imo)
Linebacker
And maybe WR but you have to be one of the ELITES
Jerry Jones is no doubt one of the greatest owners in sports history but he is also one of the dumbest and most stubborn. Elliott's contract was a huge mistake, Pollard is a better back and deserves to be the starter. I'm not even a fan of the cowboys.
I would say Byron Jones' contract was a slight overpay, rather than a bust. His stats got worse when he came to Maimi because he was targeted more. No one wanted to throw at X, so they threw at Jones. When he is healthy he is a solid CB,
Cowboys had the best o-line in modern history too. Can’t forget everything the Seahawks traded for JA too!
Zeke secured big 💰💰💰
The thing is Russell Wilson is in his first year with the broncos it may take him a while to get used to the playbook and the broncos offense
it may take some time for them to get decent receivers for him. Also Melvin Gordon is having a bad year too.
Hackett is a terrible head coach
Ill say this about Frank Clark, when January comes around, he turns up like crazy
long ago I heard it said ,the govt owns pro football, since they merged , now looking at these contracts, at the very least ,no way NFL pays taxes, rooting for players to make that much a year ,while poor people get audited , seems lame ,..🤔
Christian Kirk has lived up to his contract imo. 84 catches Over 1.000 yards and 8 Td's.
jamal adams is one of the best safeties i don’t understand the hate for him😭
Hes constantly injured. Everybody in seattle loves him its just unfortunate.
All the 12s love the man and when him and diggs play together they are special
Players can't do anything about injuries except better conditioning, accidents will happen they're not trying to go out there and to get hurt. When Mosley opted out of the second season though after being hurt a whole season it's tough to come back after two years off.
you hit the nail on head with this ONE I'M WITH YOU 1000% it's not about the game but, the BAG
Russell Wilson says hold my apple juice and burgers
Stop and be honest- Zeke signed with Jerry - be honest don’t blame a GM , unless the GM has a clear authority, coaches mostly know
$72,000,000 NOW THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY
lol how is Russel Wilson's deal not in this..... cmon man
I don’t love this video mainly because there’s a lot more to it for some of these players like Jared Goff, when he was with the Rams after that super bowl had no offensive line. And the funny thing is Stafford was struggling to with no offence of line. And Frank Clark wasn’t great in the regular season but in the playoffs he bald out.
Jamal Adams may have had a great year last year, the Hawks even changed their base defense to better suit Adam's style.... to bad we'll never know because he was out after week 2
there's no need for these players to perform with guaranteed contracts
I feel like putting Kirk on here isn’t fair. The deal isn’t too as WRs have started to get paid like a premium position. He’s also been a solid contributor.
Jamal Adams gets to much slander. He's still a great player and a dawg, bro was playing good football with like 4 injuries. I will say he does have to stay healthy but real Seahawks fans know his worth fr.
these kind of contracts make sense if you look at the collegiate level then the pros;
most college players get drafted around the age of 21-24; Rookie NFL contract is 4-5 year deal by that time a player is 26-27 so most players depreciate in value due to their age although they in their prime; but owners don't want to pay players all that money so they put a franchise tag on the players.
I’m surprised russ didn’t get mentioned 😂😂 im a broncos fan
Never pay a running back
In 2018 saquon had the better season that zeke with a worse o line and worse play calling.
Clark took a pay cut for 22 and will likely take another in 23
Cincinnati Bengals sure know how to draft those receivers receivers
Nahhh jammal and those rookie dbs Pete drafted are gonna be elite
And I’m a pats fan
If you’re ever committing a serious amount of money to a running back, you’ve seriously fucked up somewhere on the team building path.
What about Cousins contract in Minnesota. An average quarterback getting the most money ever? How does that not make this list?
Before Game 1 reports on Byron Jones have been that he was getting closer to coming back from injury. Maybe next game. It's now week 18 and reports remain the same. Maybe we'll see him next game.
Please, the fact that they have Goff on here and not Carson is mindblowing. At least Goff looks solid on his second team. Wentz has been garbage since 2019 on three different squads for MORE MONEY lmao
Golliday got the bag and chill’d
