The thing people forget about Larry Brown is that in 1994, he also had a good year. He recorded four interceptions and 51 combined tackles, which, while isn't super great, are solid numbers for a starter. Of course, he fell off a cliff after Super Bowl XXX, so people seem to think it was just one good season and then the fall, when in reality, he was good for about two years. Still a flash in the pan, but not quite to the degree some people think.
@@JD-ib9zd In statistics terms, and knowing what a QB has to do on the field, I would say Garoppolo did; now speaking of media impact and playing style definition for future QB's (Jackson, Murray, etc...), I'd go with Kaep; in short, I'd say 2019 Jimmy G had a better year than 2012 Kaep.
Garoppolo Had a way better 2019 year only to lose the Superbowl to the Chiefs. Krapernick started a shit storm in the media with Racism and caused Derek Carr to be sacked so many fucking times in one season. Once Smith got cleared to play Harbaugh, should have put him back in for that Superbowl. Only too lose that one also.
I would also say Amos Zereoue was a one hit wonder for the Steelers. He had started to come on in 2001 for the Steelers, had a really strong 2002 season with 762 yards and 42 catches. He was named the starter in 2003 and took the job from Jerome Bettis, but fell off in 2003 and ended up losing his job back to Bettis and never really had the success he did in 2002.
Buerhlein wasn't all that bad over his career. He was just a better back up than anything. He reminded me alot of my personal favorite mostly career back up, Wade Wilson. When given the opportunity, he did the most with it more often than not.
Mike Shanahan is TOTALLY responsible for RGIII’s shortened career. He injured the same leg TWICE in the regular season, but pushed through to start a playoff game. It was against the Seahawks and was Russell Wilson’s first playoff game too. RGIII led the “Skins to a 14-0 lead, but was playing on one leg. Instead of letting Kirk Cousins (who he wanted all along) manage the game, he kept Griffin in, only to have him get injured a THIRD time! He was never the same again. All in the name of trying (and failing) to prove he could win without Elway. He is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for ruining what was once a promising future. There is NO EXCUSE for that! For the first time since the glory days, fans in Washington had something to hope for. And Shanahan’s stubborn megalomania ruined it all. I will NEVER forgive him!
No. It's not. A big part of coaching is ensuring your players do not risk serious injury. Shanahan knows better and should be held to a higher standard.
Rex Grossman was always bad, even during Bears SB run. I'm a bears fan, that team was all defense and special teams(Hester and Robbie Gould). Bad Rex was always around the corner from good Rex, if he'd been half decent, we could've beat the Colts. Hester returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and we still lost. He was just a bad QB on a great team.
I was in jail Watching that game. Everyone was swearing the bears. Dumb ignorants had no idea who Peyton Marvin and Reggie were. Edgerrin. Robert Mathis. Big Dwight
Am I the only one who had no idea that the Bengals' uniforms used to look damn near IDENTICAL to the Browns' uniforms? I take it Paul Brown wanted to stick it to the Browns and therefore decided that his new team would basically copy their uniforms. I also assume the NFL eventually made him change the uniforms, although maybe they just changed over time to be more distinctive. Either way I was honestly shocked seeing how those early Bengals uniforms looked.
Shanahan breaks this down. They (family) wanted him to be treated more like Peyton fregging Manning andnstay more in the pocket. He wasn't built for that, yet. So the family bumrushed the GM and owner and got Shanahan ran out of there.
Please, stop the excuses . He played in Washington the next year, played in Cleveland and again in Baltimore. If he was any good, he had his chances. How many QBs got better after a early career injury? Drew Brees, Matt Stafford, Carson Palmer, Alex Smith, Dak Prescott, Carson Wentz, Roger Staubach, Deshaun Watson, Derek Carr ALL had early injuries in their careers and got better. So to suggest a coaching staff ruined his career is bull. That Heisman he won in 2011 should have gone to Russell Wilson, who LED the nation in passing and who won a conference title, something RGIII nor Andrew Luck did
I enjoyed the video mate, but I think you missed an opportunity to give and list stats for everyone and compare them to their contemporaries that year. Just an idea. Keep it up!
Great video Love these types of videos but you forgot to mention that Tim Tebow also went to the Jags as a Tight End thought it would be a cool fun fact.
Wow.. George Clooney had the privilege of playing Michael Clayton. Must of been his life after the NFL. He didn't let the football woes get him down.. lol
I still remember being in elementary school reading a scholastic magazine with rg3 on the cover saying will he be a new household name and then never hearing from him again🤣
Paul Hofer of the 49ers gained 760 yards from scrimmage in his first six games in 1980 on his way to being the first RB with both 1000 yards rushing and receiving in a season. He suffered an injury and retired a season later.
There's an alternate timeline where Greg Cook didn't get hurt, Paul Brown gives the starting job to Bill Walsh after retirement, and the west coast offence gets introduced to the league a decade earlier, with Cook being the Joe Montana of the 70's. At least this is how I always assumed Bill Walsh picturing how things could've gone down. Would've been really interesting to see what that would've looked like. The Steel Curtain vs the Love Yah Blue Oilers vs the Bill Walsh Bengals and their revolutionary offence battling it out for AFC Central supremacy throughout the 70s.
Let's be real about Hillis on the cover of Madden. I still recall the fan vote and it was 100% troll to put a browns player that most casual fans (who weren't browns fans) wouldn't know of.
2015 Broncos defense was the greatest. When you consider the offensive era the NFL is now. Sure, the 70’s Steelers, ‘85 Bears, 2000 Ravens were great. But by 2015 the League became ALL about offense. You can’t even Hit hard anymore. That 2015 Denver D was Awesome. Carried Denver too a super bowl despite a crippled Manning and Brock Osweiler as the QB’s.
Money changes ppl especially since the NCAA only recently let players sell their likeness for cash. All these guys were basically playing for free college classes until they were drafted and signed huge money deals.
Never understood why Tebow never got another real shot after his Broncos playoff win season. His play didn’t look pretty, but the team did win despite sports talk shows all predicting he’d get crushed every game. His stats were awful, but he had such a strong will to win and a good head on his shoulders. That blowout in NE was ugly, but you can’t totally fault the QB when you give up 45 points.
How about Larry Johnson I remember people saying in one season that he was as good as Tomlinson he even took Priest Holmes's starting spot and did nothing with it
They only gave Tebow one year to play. Probably would have worked on the mechanics if he was given multiple years like every other freaking first round pick qb.
That had nothing to do with anything. Hillis was wanting to get payed more than 500 thousand dollars. So he sat out alot. Then after that got injured alot.
Grossman was shit at Florida, but like Danny Wuerffel. They had some of the best O lines in college football history. Nebraska vs Florida was one of the best national championships. Tommie Frazier was a beast running QB( Nebraska).
Detroit fans knows about Roy Williams had a monster 1,300 yard season. Then got traded to the cowboys where he signed a huge contract. Dude was irrelevant after that.

Kitna was solid throughout his career though.
Yeah John Kitna is a good one too.
Remember Percy Howard, the guy who had one catch in his NFL career but that one catch was for a TD against Mel Blount in SB X. I think this would be a one play wonder.
We could add Garoppolo's 2019 season pretty soon...
Who had a better year Garoppolo or Kaepernick
@@JD-ib9zd In statistics terms, and knowing what a QB has to do on the field, I would say Garoppolo did; now speaking of media impact and playing style definition for future QB's (Jackson, Murray, etc...), I'd go with Kaep; in short, I'd say 2019 Jimmy G had a better year than 2012 Kaep.
@@fernandobalbasjr1277 great take I agree 100%
I remember him LIGHTING UP BC in college..
You reminded me of Willie Parker with this comment
I remember when this Chanel was at 90k subscribers, u grew so much love ur content, ur amazing
my first video I watched they had 70k subscribers
Buerhlein wasn't all that bad over his career. He was just a better back up than anything. He reminded me alot of my personal favorite mostly career back up, Wade Wilson. When given the opportunity, he did the most with it more often than not.
Larry Johnson 2005-06 should be on here. Dude had over 1,700 rushing yards both years and then completely disappeared
Was gunna say this guy. He led the league one year. I’ve mentioned him to friends a couple times they had no idea who I was talking about lol
I will NEVER forgive him!
thats bullshit, he was under a ton of pressure from the fans and snyder to play rg3
No. It's not. A big part of coaching is ensuring your players do not risk serious injury. Shanahan knows better and should be held to a higher standard.
Can't blame you for that, Shanahan ruined RG3's career playing him while injured
Trubisky and Wentz are perfect for this list
Not Trubisky...
Wentz got injured
trubisky had a mediocre season in 2018 but that's about it ..
Wentz was great from 17-19 when healthy.
Tribisky sucks good mobility but he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing
Rex Grossman was always bad, even during Bears SB run. I'm a bears fan, that team was all defense and special teams(Hester and Robbie Gould). Bad Rex was always around the corner from good Rex, if he'd been half decent, we could've beat the Colts. Hester returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and we still lost. He was just a bad QB on a great team.
always disliked that jb.
I was in jail
Watching that game. Everyone was swearing the bears. Dumb ignorants had no idea who Peyton Marvin and Reggie were. Edgerrin. Robert Mathis. Big Dwight
Don't forget about Brad Maynard! And the best special teams coach in the NFL Dave Toub!
don't forget, Peyton Manning threw an interception when the colts got the ball back, but the bears offense (Rex) couldn't capatolise on it.

Thought for sure Tommy Maddox would be here after he kicked ass in that one XFL season and won NFL comeback player of the year
Am I the only one who had no idea that the Bengals' uniforms used to look damn near IDENTICAL to the Browns' uniforms? I take it Paul Brown wanted to stick it to the Browns and therefore decided that his new team would basically copy their uniforms. I also assume the NFL eventually made him change the uniforms, although maybe they just changed over time to be more distinctive. Either way I was honestly shocked seeing how those early Bengals uniforms looked.
I’m a Steelers fan from the Cleveland area, Paul Brown got fucked.
Larry Johnson, Shawn Alexander, Chris Johnson, Kevin Mack, Nick Foles, Bob Sanders, Mark Bulger, Albert Haynesworth...
Jason verrett in 2015 was incredible. One of the best corners I've ever seen.
He couldn't stay on the field
Every year I would hope he wouldn't get hurt, and every season he got hurt
Completely injury prone I truly felt bad for him
RGIII couldve easily been a HOF qb, sadly the washington GM ruined him by pushing him too hard
Idk about HOF but he would’ve had a great career
He couldve just been mediocre. Alot of rookie QBs get injured. Burrow comes to mind.
That Heisman he won in 2011 should have gone to Russell Wilson, who LED the nation in passing and who won a conference title, something RGIII nor Andrew Luck did
If you don't come to these videos for this dudes voice then we not built the same 🤣💯
I enjoyed the video mate, but I think you missed an opportunity to give and list stats for everyone and compare them to their contemporaries that year. Just an idea. Keep it up!
That RG3 really hurt me
ravens released rg3 he isnt our back up anymore

Great video Love these types of videos but you forgot to mention that Tim Tebow also went to the Jags as a Tight End thought it would be a cool fun fact.
Wow.. George Clooney had the privilege of playing Michael Clayton. Must of been his life after the NFL. He didn't let the football woes get him down.. lol
Beuerlein was my fantasy backup QB to Steve Young. Saved my season in 99.
Why you scared to put Colin Kaepernick? He fit this perfectly.
@PhillyHoze yeah, Colin never had a good season
Not really
Damn special ed students mad at you now 😂
Colin never had a good season
Colin been trash
I still remember being in elementary school reading a scholastic magazine with rg3 on the cover saying will he be a new household name and then never hearing from him again🤣
I remember RG3 going off his first game and my friend that drafted him in fantasy wouldn’t shut the fuck up about it. Hilarious how it panned out
U hate to see injuries derail a players career tho
That RGIII segment hurt.
I feel so bad for peyton Hillis because he was a beast its just no one let him start
Paul Hofer of the 49ers gained 760 yards from scrimmage in his first six games in 1980 on his way to being the first RB with both 1000 yards rushing and receiving in a season. He suffered an injury and retired a season later.
If they waited 6 more month’s the make this video, they could’ve added Tebow’s failed attempt at an nfl comeback lmao
Very quality video 👌 thanks for the content

Strep throat isn't nothing to play with. I'm not sure how that made him lose favor.
Strep throat can lead to kidney failure
@@decariusb71 Right. It can lead to many other life threatening conditions. If I was Hillis, I wouldn't have played with Strep either.

Ok
Could you make a top ten game winning defensive plays
Let's be real about Hillis on the cover of Madden. I still recall the fan vote and it was 100% troll to put a browns player that most casual fans (who weren't browns fans) wouldn't know of.
Whoever does the voiceover for these videos found his calling in life
RG3: exists
Injuries: *Allow us to introduce ourselves*
Rg3 skipped leg day
You should do most dominating defenses of all time
2015 Broncos defense was the greatest.
Didn't David Johnson also have a one-year wonder with the Cardinals?
He had a great rookie year if I’m not mistaken when the cardinals had a prime Tyrann Matthieu and Pat Pete also Carson Palmer and went like 13-3
Big fan of the channel your doing good keep it up
What about Blake Bortles in 2017 or Lee Evans in 2006?
Lee Evens was more of a 3 year wonder definitely not a one year wonder.
Money changes ppl especially since the NCAA only recently let players sell their likeness for cash. All these guys were basically playing for free college classes until they were drafted and signed huge money deals.
tebows not a one year wonder, hes a one-completion wonder.
How about Larry Johnson I remember people saying in one season that he was as good as Tomlinson he even took Priest Holmes's starting spot and did nothing with it
more of a 2 year wonder
Kansas City fans would like forget those
He was a 3 year wonder definitely not a one year wonder.
I forgot all about Rex Grossman lol thnx for the reminder
I wish Tebow would’ve worked on his QB mechanics and his aim
They only gave Tebow one year to play. Probably would have worked on the mechanics if he was given multiple years like every other freaking first round pick qb.
“Larry Brown”
Steelers fans : *visible anger*
I think Washington ruined RG3s career because of that whole injuries event. Remember when they made him play through injury
Naw..he ruined his own
Do your RESEARCH! Demaryius Thomas was the Denver Broncos 1st pick 23rd in the first round. Tebow was selected two players later as the 25th pick.
Hillis had Laurence Vickers blocking for him in 2010 and for some reason the Browns traded him to Dallas the next year . That was the end of Hillis
That had nothing to do with anything. Hillis was wanting to get payed more than 500 thousand dollars. So he sat out alot. Then after that got injured alot.
Yeah they forgot Carson Wentz 😄🤣🤣🤣😂
Vic Beasley gotta be on here
He has multiple good years
Has he even had one good year?
Immediately I think you have to include Joe Gillam definitely
Do the best undrafted players of all time.
Tony romo
Kurt Warner
Adam thielen
Good video
2007 Browns has the easiest strength of schedule and also Derek Anderson completed 56% of his passes.
6:43- The beginning of the end for Woods. Ronnie was the catalyst, and Woods was never the same after Lott hit him in the soul.
Grossman was mostly ass in '06, but yeah I suppose this could be considered a break out season🤷🏻♂️
Grossman was shit at Florida, but like Danny Wuerffel. They had some of the best O lines in college football history. Nebraska vs Florida was one of the best national championships. Tommie Frazier was a beast running QB( Nebraska).
RGIII was special. Seeing him getting beat down by the injuries was hard to watch.
Anyone remember Carson Wentz
Detroit fans knows about Roy Williams had a monster 1,300 yard season. Then got traded to the cowboys where he signed a huge contract. Dude was irrelevant after that.
