  • Our panel of Cincinnati experts will share how their companies are approaching artificial intelligence
    There is buzz about AI just about everywhere, and it can be daunting to think about how to approach it in our roles as designers, as well as within our companies. Plus we are striving for innovation while promoting ethical practices. Our panel discussion will dive into how local companies and agencies are approaching AI, while sharing their advice on how to take advantage of this technology while staying human centered.
    MEET OUR PANELISTS
    Megan Copas, Director, Consumer Research, 84.51°: As Director of Consumer Research, Megan Copas leads a team of experienced researchers to deliver cutting edge consumer research insights to brands. Her team identifies innovation opportunities to expand 84.51°’s research solutions to meet new and unique client needs and consults on methodology, sample, insights and recommendations to drive more actionable projects for our clients.
    Megan led the creation of a suite of agile research products that gave 84.51° clients more research options - allowing them to balance budget, level of service, and speed to insight and make the right trade-offs to meet their needs.
    Prior to joining 84.51°, Megan worked at P&G embedding technical product data and voice of consumer data to design products that met consumer needs. Megan graduated from University of Cincinnati as a Statistics major.
    David McCoy, Senior User Experience Design Consultant, Ingage Partners: David McCoy is a seasoned User Experience Designer with a career spanning multiple industries, including Finance, Healthcare, Human Resources, Education, and Aviation. With over a decade of experience in the field, he is known for his expertise in interaction design, user interface design, usability testing, and user research. His dedication to crafting seamless user experiences has left a lasting impact on the companies he's worked with.
    As a Senior Consultant at Ingage Partners, David provides consulting services in various UX and product management roles. His work not only contributes to the company's success but also supports charitable partners by directing a portion of profits towards their missions.     Brian Yamada, Chief Innovation Officer, VMLY&R: As Chief Innovation Officer, Brian leads the Experience Innovation and Analytics & Data Science teams. The Innovation team enables the application of emerging technologies such as AR/VR/XR, AI/ML, NLP, Computer Vision, and Blockchain/Web3.0. The Analytics & Data Science teams drive data consulting, insight, marketing and audience sciences and measurable outcomes for brands and businesses.
    Brian joined legacy VML over twenty years ago and served in a variety of leadership positions across the agency in Client Management and Connections (Social, Mobility, Paid Media, Paid Search/SEO, CRM, and Emerging Media).     Brian is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. And recently completed an Executive Diploma in AI for Business from Oxford University.
    Keith Instone, Research Analyst, Stratascale and OhioX User Experience Roundtable Chair. As a research analyst, Keith studies technology trends (such as AI) to explain the processes, tools, and systems needed to deliver innovative user experiences. As the Ohio UX Roundtable Chair, he has been connecting UXers across the state and participating in things like recent AI Forums to gauge Ohio’s current level of human-centered and responsible AI practices.
