Wow. This video is so powerful. I'm in tears, its just showing so much of Conor and the way he used to be. This entire album feels like a reflection and his improved state of mind. The video even bring the words better into focus about what hes singing. I'm so happy this is a series and i hope it continues so there can be a resolution to everything.

This whole video hits different almost two years into the pandemic.
Aww, I was so HOPING he'd elaborate on this series. So many things to think about.
There's a teeny tiny bit of this 'invaded world' and the woman talking to him that reminds me of The Host. ....but they would've never referred to humans as kind. I love this song so much; but, I also love that his videos continue the Conor legacy of making you think wayyyy beyond what you're given at face value. ....find all the subtleties, nuances and meanings deeper beneath the surface. :)
Now I am older and living away from Omaha I respect Conor Oberst a lot more. I thank you. Wish you'd come down to San Antonio and play though. I understand it's a bit further south than Austin but you will still get a lot of people coming to your show. Peace to you brother.

Conor I'd like to thank you for booking a show at The Paper Tiger here in San Antonio, Texas. It's been quite a while since I saw you play in Omaha, NE. I heard the news last night from a bar tender at The Mix. a Bar across the street from The Paper Tiger here on St.Mary's Street. Just letting you know I will be there along with as many people I can drag along to come. It was an honor to watch you grow up in Omaha through your bands wherever I saw you at The Cog, Sokol Hall or where ever through your bands like Commander Venus, Solo stuff, or Bright Eyes. I never got to see you play in The Desaparecidos when I lived in Omaha for the 26yrs. I was there. Well Cheers and thanks for booking the show. San Antonio is kind of an untapped market for music I hope you take the time to check the scene out on youtube before you come. I suggest a band called "War On Sunday" also a musician named Ila Minori is pretty amazing I've known Erica almost since I got here from Omaha 4yrs. ago.

I love the feel these two music videos give off, futuristic, kinda creepy with the end off that voice, and questionable. "The event" causes the watcher to question what is going to happen in the future. Then boom the song starts, conor has such a brilliant mind. I'll be listening to his music for years to come.
