I've always thought Italian WWII tanks to be proof that it was possible to do too much acid in the 60s before the 60s were even a thing. The Corazzata is right up there with David Dardick's notorious tround thrower, a solution in search of a problem.

The a7v was hell to operate tho, also a stolen design from the french that came from the tank saint chamond
The M15A never existed, lol. It's based on a photoshopped picture of an M3. You would need to fit a crew of no less than 10 in an M3 Lee, and there would be even less space due to all the guns.
And don't forget ammunition. Also the massive weight increase would mean it would need a larger engine lest it be underpowered
I love the TOG2, I remember seeing it at the Tank Museum in Bovington. It was absolutely massive and I’d never seen anything like it before.

the info about NI tank isn't correct. It was built in only one city(Odessa, where I am from, that's why I know) and it was used in combat against Romanian infantry, being quite effective in that role. It also made a horrible noise which scared people

@@levoneed tanks are war tractors, the T in T-34 is the russian version of tractor. Tanks are tractors, they're only called tanks because it was a code name before they were adopted. it's actually modern tractors that aren't really tractors because they dont have tracks.

The T-28 is not an ugly tank, it’s just an anti infantry vehicle
See, I actually quite like the Lee. I had originally thought it to be another goofy outdated design, but I had my opinion changed after watching a video by another youtuber going into more detail about it (Spookston for those curious).
Long story short, the Lee looks the way it does because the allies desperately needed tanks with big powerful guns to kill the german tanks. However, it would take too long to design a full turret with the big gun, so they decided to quickly make a tank with the big gun in the hull as a stopgap to hold the line until other tanks could be designed and built.
Considering that, the Lee performed very well in the war.

Yes the M15A is a photoshopped tank. Not only that there wouldn't be enough space for the guns nor the crew, there would have to be some sort of different type of ammoracks to have any ammunition.
6:50 TKS had another variant with 20mm cannon. One of these was commanded by Edmund Orlik. Orlik was credited with 10 out of 23 German tanks destroyed during battle of Sierakow, including 3 ambushed day before actual battle.
T1 cunningham is a cute tank and the TOG II is everyone's favorite armored train with a canon.

Many of these aren't that ugly to me, like the Sentinel, M2 and Vickers Mediums and Carro Armato. I'd vote stuff like the CLB 75, Christie M1919, Holt Gas-Electric Tank (or Steam Tank), Objekt 775 and Ford 3-ton.

4:49 the Maus would not have changed the outcome of the war. It would've used up recourses and oil that were already dwindling while being easy targets for bombers and easy to soft kill because the tracks are huge targets. On top of that, it would've been only really used against the Soviets, as all of the other German heavy tanks were. This would also even make it worse, as T-34s and BT-5/BT-7 tanks would be easily able to surround them and force them to surrender, then capturing the tank to be used for other tank designs or scrapped to be made into other T-34s. And it would not have worked if it was at the start of Barbarossa, as they would easily get stuck in the snow and mud during the winter. Plus, the advance would have been slower in general. If you mean for the invasion of France, it wouldn't even be an existing concept. Plus, it would've again gotten stuck in the French country side, collapse bridges, get stuck in rivers, AND slow down the blitzkrieg. Also draining the German recourses even EARLIER, making an invasion of the Soviet Union even shittier, as they would STILL slow down Hitler's advance to the caucuses for oil even SLOWER.

For clarification on a year old video the M15A Motor Gun Carriage is a AA half track with twin 50s and a 37 mm auto-cannon, the tank shown never existed and the original photo was a joke that had extra 75s and 37 mm photoshopped onto it. However it is quite ugly.

Some of Those Tanks are really awesome, The AV7 is one of my favorites and for over 100 years ago it was pretty scary and menacing looking, far from ugly, I'd say. That Tank gave me nightmares as a kid, also if I had been around during WW1, I would have shit myself, even at the sight of it. I must say I do have a AV7 I hold dear to me and her name is Elfriede. Has anyone here heard of her? That 188 TN Russian Tank. That thing is a real Beast and can it even move? Also, that Yellow one ??
