Haywood Golf out of Vancouver is another awesome DTC brand. They mill their blades to a 2% tolerance, which is tighter than industry standards, and you can get a PW-4 set for $799 with your choice of shaft. Got mine a year and a half ago, my distances increased by 15 yards per club and my handicap is down 4.5 strokes. I’m now a 14.5 and love my combo set (blades PW-7, CB’s 6-4). I know I’m not technically “good enough” to play blades but they have absolutely benefited my game; goes to show not every golfer is the same and you should play what makes you happy

Wow, great to see a DTC brand get that rating. I'm going to check out Takomo the next time I need irons. And I agree with you on the Mizuno's. I have the hot metals and while they do have a soft feel, there is something about the look behind the ball that seems off.

Holy crap, a 32° 7i ina players iron, lofts have been getting so strong. I remember hearing how my 36°7i sets were strong lofts when I started playing. I’ve always stuck with a 48° pw, 44° 9, 40.5° 8i, 36° 7, 32° 6, etc. but it’s getting harder to find lofts weak enough, thankfully Titleist has stayed with the 47° pw which I bend a degree weak through the years, I also like how it lessens the offset. Ive gamed a set of the Titleist MB for over 20 years now, the 620’s will probably go in the bag soon but I always go back to my trusty 710’s which I’m on my 3rd set of heads 3-pw through the years. liked the 714’s a lot too. They’re all basically the same with minor differences. Some of these irons on here weren’t even really blades also.

@@JoeFerguson-cd4bg it's always a pleasure watching you videos Joe! One thoughtful to the takomos : maybe they are goodness or not, what i hate on business is telling me stories. And they storytelling of cheap takomos is s story and notes much more. Your can get them with a kbs shafted in stuff order regular and standard length and grips. Then the price is 649,-. But that's not what i need and want! For me a DG shaft, 0.5 longer and maybe a cord grip are the tight stuff. Every time normal brand makes this possible for the same price - and takomo? At the end they are nearly at the same time price point, maybe a fraction cheaper. So at the end it's for me a huge story, not more. From the club's you tested i maybes would take a set of wilson staff because of the look and the tradition! But I tell you if you are looking for for ultimative feel, then test a honma blade! If i hit the my 27 ears old 7 iron in the sweet spot it's like a..... A unbelievable feeling it really is! I hope you play soon a round of golf with Dan, Paul and James!! If, i will watch!

Very interesting opinion and data but for me because Mizuno Miura Takomo and others dont do a 3 iron in a set of irons, that iron model would be straight rejected for me. The Wilson wins hands down here cos they do a two iron and three iron. Really surprized the Callaway Apex MB did not even feature. Has to be the best looking mb iron period. So a little surprised by that but purests get put off by new tech in blades. Its all subjective perspective. The Ping is nice but reason I will not play with Ping is their customer service is shocking and they don;t offer the shaft I want as a custom order. I wanted the Blueprint T's in the KBS $ - Taper only to be told by Ping that that is not possible???? For me its between the Wilson and Callaway, although the Cobra features strong here as well as I have hit the cobra and it is a great iron.

If clubs didn't have numbers but just lofts you're point would almost be pointless beyond half inch in club length.
