You're right about that. But, how many great players don't get to make it he's one of many unfortunately.
He will walk into the Hall of Fame with his head up HIGH, he gave everything on and off the field to his community, his family & his team.

Damn I miss watching him play. I was absolutely one of those guys that was scratching my head when the Texans picked him. I quickly found out just like everyone else that he will go down as one of the greatest picks by the Texans in their history, and one of the best defensive players in NFL history! I was born and raised here in Houston, and even though the Texans were not all that good during his time in Houston, and never had a realistic shot at winning a Super Bowl, I still found myself glued to the tv every time the Texans played, and always only cared when the Texans were on defense because I couldn't wait to see what Watt was going to do next. He was forced to retire way too soon due to all the injuries he sustained in his career, and I have zero doubt that if he hadn't had all of those injuries that he would have easily broken the all time sack record, and even the single season sack record. Now it's on to Canton, and I can't wait to see him enshrined forever amongst the best ever to play the best sport in the world. The only what if type question I have is, can you imagine what the Texans would be like if you had JJ Watt and Anderson anchoring the defense with CJ Stroud leading the offense? Set your brain on fire with the thought of what that would have been like!!! He's only 34 and will turn 35 for the 2024 season. He could be a specialist that doesn't have to play every single down........

If the Texan's owner was smart, he would hire JJ to basically act as the owner. Picks the GM and helps with the coaching search. Pays attention to the culture of the team. Clearly, Kyle has no business doing any of that. One thing you know is JJ would care.

Thank you, Wade Phillip for believing in JJ Watt and picking him at the 11 pick. Wade was hire at defenses coach and promise the first pick of the draft for a defensive player. Glad Gary Kubiak didn’t blow that pick. Best pick of the Texans history. Too bad JJ didn’t leave for NE when Bob became the coach; he wasted his best years on a sorry Texans team. Thank Bill O’Brien for destroying the franchise and trading Hopkins.

Can we get a Stetson Bennett mini movie after the natty game? Like showing from the start how he was a non-recruited walk on to transferring to a d-2 school to coming back to Georgia being a 3rd string to becoming starter to getting benched to coming in when Jt Daniels got hurt to the social media hate he got to being national champion of defying the odds. Would be a great inspirational mini movie if you could put it together!
