If a UFO lands, Alien asking ''What is Punk? Just send him here, to this link... This is it! Good old days! Old days? This came out 38 years ago!!! How did they come up with this?... in 1982 !
Love this shit. I was 14 when i first heard THIS IS BOSTON,NOT L.A. It changed my worldview. I knew punk, but GBH and DISORDER were the most extreme bands that i knew. Don't get me wrong, still enjoy DISCHARGE, but American Hardcore is my true love. Finland, Brazil, Italia, Yugoslavia...every country had a Hardcore scene. I saw so many gigs, and i live in in a village on Croatian coast. The 80s were the worst for mainstream music, but punk and other underground were on fire
And they werent an established punk band? Is that what yr saying? This was like their first album man this is them they werent like an establishef punk band they WERE thay hahaahh. Gang Green is a legendary Boston Hardcore punk band.
Owned AWN years ago, cuz of Thrasher mag, heard this gem cuz of You tube 30 + years later and am stoked on this chaos , thanks yt, youre still good for select nuggets when not censoring or enforcing " rules".
I loved thrasher...back in the 90 they were starting to kinda fall down but they still turned me onto a lot of great bands. I l9ved those thrasher skate rock tapes
They never did metal-fusion IMO, the hair bands just liked it, so it got on MTV’s Headbangers Ball playlist. The metal fans chose them, Gang Green was never trying to cater to metal crowd
I still have my copy. Not worth anything on the secondary market. Sold my Stains ('81) for $200, A few years ago. Sold my Overkill 45 rpm to Roger Miret.
If only these guys were from the west coast...we know what to do with hard-core punk not standing there and just waiting for the breakdowns like the east coast haha😂
@@Geoffreydarcy-pv4mq oh they were big into coke. Thats totally real..my uncle saw em in the 80s and they were doin lines on stage. Youd be suprised how real hardcore punk used to be man. I know a few of those older cats and they really lived it. It wasnt for show with most of the bands especially mid west and east coast bands... youtube rookies huh? What does that even mean. Sounds like you just might be describing yrself.
