I just made a few on yesterday from Cricut access, didn't realize how easy it was and now I have your beautiful designs to make more, thank you so much, please keep doing what you obviously love doing, helping others, it is very much appreciated.
So glad I started watching your videos today! I have had the materials for leather earrings sitting on my kitchen table for a year! 😔 I am now motivated to make them!!! Finding that I can add vinyl to them is wonderful. What a fun look. I bet many people feel the same.
I’m brand new to Cricut world. I am marathon watching your channel and love many, but this is the BEST! This may be our (my daughter and I) first project. I love them all!
Rylee, I LOVE my Cricut Maker. I had an Explore Air II for 3 years and I loved it, I now have a Maker and I love it too. Don’t be afraid to purchase, Cricut stands behind their products and there are many sites with great step by step tutorials.
Thank you for this great tutorial! I also thank you for sharing the mistakes that were made, instead of editing them out! This is so helpful! Thank you again!
I am so glad you did this video. I want to make earrings for my sister and some friends but was not sure how they would actually look. I watched this and now am ready to give it a go. Have an idea for something special for my big sister. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, Jennifer. These are awesome!!! I can't wait to try making them. Your tutorials are sooooo helpful, especially with new cricut owners.
Hi Jennifer I had no success making these earrings. The simple ones would cut but I couldn’t get the more detail ones to cut. I tried the knife blade and the deep cut blade. Different settings and they would not cut through. I have a new Cricut maker my mats are new and my blades are new. I repeated the cuts over and over again for about 4 hours with no success. I did you get such a clean cut on yours. Please advise.
I love this project. I can't wait to get a Cricut to make some. The earrings turned out so beautiful. I didn't know you could do things like this with the Cricut. Thanks so much for the tutorial.
I used cricut faux leather and another brand. Both feel a bit thin and don't stay flat. What do you think could be used to reinforce besides doubling the faux leather or using wood?
Hi Jennifer, I’m a jewelry beader for the last 10 years and I have a cricut explorer #2 now. I have seen these type of earrings for awhile and love them. Found your tutorial yesterday and wanted to know what types of faux vinyl can be cut on the explorer. I bought a sample pack and there is a variety of thickness in this pack, plain, embossed, fine glitter and chunky glitter. Can I use all of these? Thank you for the help.
You should be able to cut all of those! Just test small cuts so you can ensure you have your machine set to cut all the different thicknesses and types. :)
I have a question about the leather you use. Most of the faux leather I use have an unfinished backing. How do you deal with that with your earrings? I love your designs and how well you describe the steps in creating all your art and projects. I made these earrings in black faux leather and changed the designs up a bit by using 3 different holographic iron on foil vinyl. They are absolutely beautiful!!
Hi love how you explain everything clearly . Would you use the same technique for cutting yuppo paper( -“alcohol ink ) for earrings ? Same blades or upgraded blades . ?
I have not worked with yuppo paper. I need to look into that! Maybe some people in my group can help with this. facebook.com/groups/cricutcraftersandmakers/
Thank you for this video! You did a great job explaining & making. I just have a few questions. 1) Why didn't you use the Cricut to make the holes in the leather for the jump rings? 2) I haven't uploaded your files yet, (I'm on my phone) would I be able to slice the holes in the svg in DS? I'm a new fan...3) Have you made any earrings using glitter vinyl? 4) What are your thoughts about glitter vinyl & faux leather?
Thank you! Your video has been the best one so far. I am new at making earrings and have been searching and searching for a how-to video and got the best information from yours
So cute! If you want the earrings a bit stiffer, can you cut it out of wood? I want to make monogram earrings for my son's teacher (she loves fun earrings!) I was thinking I could cut a circle or hexagon then do the monogram from vinyl. Should I do HTV on wood or permanent peel and stick? Or is there a way to cut from leather and make it stiffer? Spray starch on the back?
thanks for this video. I always thought that leather could only be cut on the maker. Since I have the Explore Air 2 I didn't think this was possible, but thanks to you I know it is. : )
Hi Jennifer. Can you please give a demonstration on how to cut several earrings (one design) at one time on the Cricut Maker. For example, if I wanted to cut out a design of a star and wanted to cut maybe 8 or more at one time; how would I set it up, how would I do it? Please demonstrate for me. Thanks!!!!!!
Hi Bee! You can right click on the design you like and a menu will come up. Select "Duplicate" and you will have another of the exact same design. When you hit "Make It", Design Space automatically configures your mats to save space make the most of your materials. Hope this helps!
Really love these earrings especially the heart and snowflake. Thank you so much for sharing.I have an Easy Press and have not used it yet. This is a good excuse to use it!
This is beautiful…can we use same technique for fabric earrings ? I sew clothes for myself and would love if my cricut can cut matching earrings.. Thanks for all you do!!
Hi and thank you for watching! That's a wonderful idea! Here is the link to my blog post on cutting fabric that may be helpful to you, jennifermaker.com/cut-fabric-with-cricut-explore-maker/ 💗
I love the faux leather earrings and I'm trying to make some for my girls. The first set turned out good, but when I went to make more, my machine bunches the faux leather. I've tried every suggestion on the internet. How do I solve this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Wow thank you so much, do u have to mirror faux every time or just on earring?.. new to making these .. can you also press htv on any faux or is it only certain ones?.. thank you xx
Brand new to cricut making and Love, Love all the info you share and show - would it be possible to see a video of a faux leather foiled change purse/ wallet?
Hi Jackie! Here is my blog post on faux leather wallet but there is no foiling on it but you could certainly do that ! jennifermaker.com/easy-leather-wallets-great-gift-cards/ 💗
Thanks for the tutorial. I wish that I could get more instructions on using the Cricut. Can you please explain why you used the plastic over the leather & foil. Beautiful work!!!!!!!
I want to do a front and back for the earring with the leather, so I would do one set with leather face down with mirror on and another one with leather face up without mirror, correct?
Hi, thanks for sharing your projects, but i can't find a way to download the 10 earring designs, i have no ipad or an iPhone, I did give my email & did get the password, also I never even saw any area that offered the 10 earrings from where it's listed as new, so could you please inform me as to how I can go about downloading these to my laptop, thank you.
Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for the designs! :) May I ask what size hole puncher you? I have all the materials, but this one item. Which I will need to purchase. Thank you so much!
thanks for the tutorial and the patterns, they were very difficult to find in the library but I finally found the svg I have made faux leather earrings but hadn't tried the foil now I will

Watching this video from the future! Wondering if you could use the heat resistant tape now out with the infusible ink stuff to hold the iron on in place before you iron? Seems like it would work, right?
These are so cute!! However I don’t have a press, is there an alternative way to complete this design? Could I use regular vinyl for example and just stick it on? Or would I only cut out the basic shape? Thank you.

One great thing about these earrings is that they are so light weight!
True! 😃
I don’t wear earrings myself but these would be great gifts. TFS!
Just got around to watching this one today. I am
Amazed and the intricate cutting the cricut was
Capable of.
Didn't realize my explore could cut leather. Awesome.
I love the earrings but I do think I’ll size down a bit. The designs are so fun!! Thanks Jen!
Yeah, they turned out big. I don't wear earrings so I didn't estimate the size very well initially.
Also where can I find different and unique faux leather styles and colors? Thanks
I am excited every time I watch one of your videos. What an inspiration you are.
Thanks so much, Annette! 😊

Such a beautiful project Jennifer! It looks like the faux leather would curl instead of staying flat though?
I didn’t realize how many you could make so quickly! They are so fun!!!
They truly are Misty! :)
Thank you so much, Jennifer. These are awesome!!! I can't wait to try making them. Your tutorials are sooooo helpful, especially with new cricut owners.

These would make very nice gifts!
It definitely looks more copper than rose gold. Very pretty!
Isn't it! I love them! :)
I love this and thank you for giving it to us. I flipped one of the plain hearts so they will look the same on both ears if that makes sense.
thank for this amazing tutorial! Ike leather earrings, but I didn't know how great they could turn out! thanks again, -Maragret.

Incredible!! I’m learning even more things you can do with a Cricut!! Thank you!

You learn more from your failures then from your successes!
Truth!!! :)
I used cricut faux leather and another brand. Both feel a bit thin and don't stay flat. What do you think could be used to reinforce besides doubling the faux leather or using wood?
These are made with Cricut brand faux leather. I think doubling it up would work fine and give it a nice finish.
You should make a video on debossing on leather!
Thanks for the suggestion! 🌸
I love this! I so wanted to make leather earrings on my new Cricut Maker. Now I know how!
YAY! So glad!

hello New to my Cricut joy xtra i was wondering if i can use Permanant vinyl or does it have to be HTV Love watching your videos
Yes you can!
Thank you so much. Love ur videos.
Question: Is it poosible to use cardstock to make earrings? What would you use to treat them? Is there a way you could do a video on it?
I wouldn't recommend it as they wouldn't hold up.💗
