Seems like my video editor decided to output this at 240p for some reason... Apologies if it affects the sound quality greatly. Out of all the tracks only 2 seem to have a noticeable fuzz to them, sorry again. Also that album cover is the highest quality It could get, that isn't an effect of the 240p
In case you are actually wondering if the audio quality is affected by the resolution of the video, I'm pretty sure youtube cheapens out on all the data that is streamed at lower resolutions, in case you are using mobile data on your phone or something.
What's awesome is I've literally been playing the first game for the last week or so, and you're so right. It's Katamari-coded. Love is Orange even uses the same piano as the "Shake it Up, Funk it Up" song from Damacy (~6:50)
If you like Orange Lounge, I implore you to try listening to some of Capsule's early albums! They capture a lot of this same French pop vibe, namely their "phony phonic", "plastic girl" and "CUTIE CINEMA REPLAY" albums, and they're on Spotify!
Lounge Designers Killer (LDK) is another excellent early album. And Capsule did a handful of short collabs with Studio Kajino (I believe affiliated with Ghibli) - though they are hard to find as uploads often get removed. Look for "Space Station No. 9", "Soratobu Toshikeikaku" (means "Flying City Plan"), and "Portable Airport".
OMG these are some of my favorites and have been for years! So happy I finally found a community with the same eclectic tastes as myself. It's times like this when I realize what a wonderful thing the internet can be ^^
I haven't listen to one of the songs on called love is orange in so long. I used to listen to the many DDR soundtracks many years ago and love is orange was one of my top favourites. I should of known there were more music from this artist and all of it, is so pleasent sounding. It reminds me of a nice Summer breeze or sitting at a really fancy cafe on a sunny afternoon or just the vibe and feeling of Summer overall, idk why but it just does feel like that.
i think red represents passion (which can be fueled by either love or hate), which might make more sense. itd make the two natures of orange twice as positive or at odds with each other, just like love
you all know it depends deeply on a society's view, right? in some countries blue represents porn0graphy, for example, and in asia (sorry for generalizing) it represents youth/growth
I heard the first part of this album Mobo Moga back in 2008 in newgrounds and i never knew the name song, its 2024 and i finally found it what the hell lol
19:19 "tu vas chercher boubou?" quote is from demoiselles de rochefort, specifically from the "chanson des jumelles", which Pecombo has a version of. Here we see the influence Michel Legrand's work had over 2000's japanese pop. I'm so grateful for the ability the japanese have of playing off of their influences to make such captivating music. I can't thank them enough for their bossa nova songs, their american influenced 60's and 70's albums, and so on.
*by any means i understand why love is orange after 13 years of failure so far i had already achieved self happiness and ready to start my life all over again*
One thing I discovered since this upload started gaining views is that a whole lot of people behind on schoolwork found this. I hope you're able to grind all that out 🫡
May I ask where you got ahold of these songs? To my knowledge Orange Lounge only had an appearance on DDR and Tomosuke's album marble. I've been obsessed with Tomosuke's works as of late so I'm super curious if there's a place where I can find more Orange Lounge.
there's a whole playlist here, afaik everything made by orange lounge seems to be on youtube. you can check Orange Lounge's Discogs page, they've done more than just DDR. ua-cam.com/play/PL__RCm0BqZonQ6wAIRzYjJ2ys5wbqmfaU.html
if that comment gets deleted cause its a link, i can just say in plain terms to look for a playlist called Orange Lounge (Tomosuke) by CacaLover42 (yeah, i know, the username.)
A lot of Konami’s Bemani rhythm series of video games had a almost all of these songs they always were my favs songs to play on those games especially on DDR, Beatmania and Pop’n Music
Lol. This is a Japanese band playing '60s French pop music. _Comment te dire adieu_ for example is a cover of a Françoise Hardy (R.I.P.) song ❤ Music and art and pop culture are the best propaganda lol. Cultural output is so important for how your nation/culture is viewed.
This is wonderful!! I adore shibuya-kei and have never heard about this group before. I know that you compiled the tracks into an "album," would you ever release it in some downloadable format? I would love to add it to my personal music library :)
this is why im tryna use foobar2000 or some other thing where i like. have the files on my pc or phone or whatever honestly (downloading music is tedious tho but its better once you have it there)

Where's that awesome Les Filles Balancent Beat Gallery Remix? That was the only song that I felt was missing from this album. All this music reminds of a sad time in my life, but now I thoroughly enjoy this as a way of celebrating the fact i kade it through that period of time. Thank you Orange Lounge

Mobo Moga started up and my brain immediately started pumping because I haven't heard it in YEARS. Where I heard it before was in a Naruto flash animation. Amazing what your brain can retain, no matter how miniscule.

Where did you find this album? I couldn't find it anywhere.
where did you find this album? I'd love to listen better quality

I found out about Orange Lounge today while looking for a Malice Mizer song... idk how but thank you, YT ALGORITHMMM! I love this so much!
I love Comment Te Dire Adieu SMMMMMMM probably because of the start kind of giving "if Malice Mizer was bossa nova" vibes LOL
LOL, those two are very far apart, but I'm glad you enjoy their music :D
I love malice mizer and orange lounge!!!
EVEN IN THE SOUP I FIND MALICE MIZER 😭😭
gackt follows me everywhere wtf. i somehow run into his presence everywhere. here i found it through a mention of malice mizer
I think this is the best thing the algorithm could have ever recommended to me, I really feel like I hit the lottery of life 😭

*orange is composed of two colors which represents life itself : happiness & sadness that is why they have upbeat and melancholic melody*
red is sadness??? i thought that was blue
green lounge
I thought yellow represents happiness and red represents anger or frustration. Love is orange is it not?

Serious question why is love orange ??
People usually think of love as red, but love should contain happiness, which is representing of yellow, so passion and happiness equal... Well love🧡
Orange lounge is so good it definitely made its mark on Shibuya Kei and I would call it one of the staples of the genre
2009 memories, lovely album. Thank you for sharing!
the album cover is giving a nostalgic vibe
Perfect music for an 8pm walk on a rainy september night. The wind broke my umbrella but I feel so blissfully joyful!
