Been watching this playthrough repeatedly throughout the years. Its been my go to thing to watch at any moment of time. And now, Skyward Sword is getting an HD remake/port to the switch and im re-watching this LP series daily until the release date in july
AlmostEpic I have had people tell me that I have a very nice balance between focused commentary and joking around (unless I am extremely tired while recording. Then it is just somewhat unfocused and funny.) :D

It's funny, because I used to talk with a handful of the current "bigger names" years ago but I think my style of content just doesn't strike a chord with the majority of LP watchers, primarily 13-17 y/o males (by contrast my biggest demographic is 25-34 y/o males) so as they grew they started doing their own thing, which is to be expected. I enjoy my niche though, always open if they wanted to do something but I have great fans already.
No need to worry about being rude, that's something I do consciously. I don't commentate over the cutscenes because of how they're cinematic in nature. They're put together in such a way that oftentimes music and audio cues are vital in getting across the feeling they're wanting to invoke, and it's done beautifully in many scenes in this game in particular. Anything I say would alter the presentation they wanted to give to the player, I don't want to interfere with that.
batman, how do you do it? when we, youre audience, watch your lps, you make it to where we get the feel of the game, and expirience it along side you! every lps you do have a different mood to them, hard to explain, but i hope you read this, because i mean what i say with sincerity. thank you for bringing joy to socity by making youtube a better place! i hope you never, ever retire.
I don't think your voice changed Batman, but it doesn't matter, because you still sound great! Your voice is one of my favorite things about you. I'm glad you're doing this game as a Let's Play. I can use it as a guide, I started this game but got frustrated and stopped. Maybe this will be my inspiration to play again!

i loved Twilight Princess' art style over all of them (before someone says anything, i know the previous games couldn't handle something like that). kinda wished they would've continued that style. it was so gorgeous.

No, and I don't know what you mean by "progressive scan lines." I'm thinking maybe you got mixed up, and you mean interlacing lines? I got around that just by capturing at 480p. Even if you had interlacing artifacts you can get rid of them through deinterlacing, so neither case would involve any sort of blur effect. It would be super noticeable too if I did use one, since it actually required sharpening to look this way.
Ya know, watching Fledge struggle to pick up the barrel at the beginning reminds me of that Kokiri in Ocarina of Time struggling to pick up the bush in Kokiri Forest. I doubt it was an intentional reference, but you never know!
I agree with you that this game isn't the best zelda game, I don't eve nthink its top 5 but one thing that makes this game unique is how link interacts with everyone, how communicating with people is more realistic and not limited to yes or no questions

I like to imagine the Headmaster *always* starts rambling about history and legends and advice whenever possible. He's just as annoying and boring in-game as he is to players.
Since I have the Hauppauge HD PVR, I have to use the software package that comes with it (Arcsoft TotalMedia Extreme) to record. There wouldn't be a point in just making a tutorial about that, literally all you do is press "record" and you're good. Don't really want to make a tutorial over the rest of my process either, since I load it into Sony Vegas, frameserve it to Avisynth, render and mux it to x264 with MeGUI... not the most beginner-friendly method so I'd have to teach other ways too.
If you're annoyed by Zelda characters pointing out the use of controller buttons through in-game dialogue you will get nightmares from Kid Icarus Uprising. Characters in that game take down the fourth wall with a sledgehammer as soon as the tutorial starts, and then proceed to spend the rest of the game discussing not only controller buttons but recurring Game Overs, other videogame franchises and even mid-level loading screens. It's brilliant because of how totally NOT subtle it's done. :-)

How does your game look so crisp and smooth? I have tried multiple component and composite cables but the edges always look real jagged and pixelated. What is your secret? HDMI converter? Some setting within the Wii? Please let me know. Also i love your Lets Play videos, they are awesome! Keep up the great work.
I just hope that for whatever Zelda installment they come out with next they make it at least somewhat realistic instead of the heavy cartoon-like style of this one.

Yeah, I start reading less and less of it as the series continues, and from part 15 (the next one I need to record) on out I probably won't be reading very much if any of it.
Probably one of the best lp's of Skyward Sword on youtube. My only problem is the voice over in the dialogue. Legend of Zelda (obviously) is known and is unique for being a text-only game so, for me, it kind of breaks the immersion. Great work nonetheless!

No it's not. The song that Zelda sings is called "Ballad Of The Goddess." Most of the music in Skyward Sword is new.

Skyward Sword had the cartooning style of Wind Waker but had the environmental feel of Twilight Princess
