Around here, in northern New York, even 10 year old vehicles are full of significant rust holes and salt damage underneath, because of the very harsh winters with the incredible amount of road de icing salt they apply. I just brought back a 1993 Z71 regular cab short box pick up from South Carolina, and even though the truck looks in very bore condition, it was a one owner until it was stolen and recovered, and every day someone stops by my house to ask ir it's for sale. I paid $2300 plus the time and risk to transport it 1600 km to my house, and I will probably ask $6000 as is. It needs a new steering column and driver outside door handle, and the title will always reflect salvage , and it may take 3 months until an appointment is available for them to complete this inspection and to issue a new title of ownership
