Great video, have watched it so many times and each time there is a detail I hadn't noticed before ! In the UK, feeling the palate is considered insufficient and we are asked to fully visualise the palate and uvula if a cleft palate is not to be missed.
Did you mean to say that the machine like murmur is caused by the "patent" ductus arteriosus and not the "closed" PDA? Its the fact that it is open that causes the murmur.

As a peds resident who just finished his cardiology rotation, you're right.
That must be the best part of the job, getting to hold and look over newborn babies
