    I've seen these videos well over 7 times and I'm starting to get the grip of it. You really need to apply yourself hard to understand all this.

    Who exactly builds the fixed setups? Rumor has always been that Ray builds them.

    Hey these setups only work for 20 laps

      How long does a set of tyres stay new. Setups are about trading tyre life for grip you can't have both. That's why you run testing to race distance to see what effect changes have late in the race. Plus no 2 people drive the same his setup works with his style. This vids about learning to tune for yourself. No point making changes when you have no idea what they do. Late reply sorry. Carry on

    Awesome! Anybody else notice the almost 200fps lol

    • @Despiser25
      @Despiser25 8 років тому

      +KevRunsOnDunkin I dont notice it because the monitors are only capable of outputting (typically) a 60 hz refresh rate so you effectively only see 60fps anyway. I lot of people measure frame rate as penis size although they are unrelated.

    • @RingoYote
      @RingoYote 5 років тому

      I know this is an old comment, but refresh rate actually matters for games like CS:GO when you're talking e-sports level

    Ray i love you man but your explantation on how the car feel is horrible.. "lazy" is the car wanting to slide up the track and the rear wanting to stick but the front wants to slide. i will be getting iracing soon and it may take me a year but youll face me sooner or later.. great driving tho your the reason im getting a rig :)

    All of this is fine and good but unless you can get around the track without being messed up or messing others up its useless to you. Practice practice practice. Lean to drive first, then muck with the car, if you don't know how it feels when your getting good with a bsic set up the changes are not going to tell you a thing.

    I think "Understeer" is the correct terminology

    • @Ray_Alfalla
      @Ray_Alfalla 9 років тому +4

      Every driver has a different term for what they feel. That's why crew chiefs/engineers need to get to know a driver to work with them. I should've said understeer, or tight, but I have heard drivers describing their cars as "lazy" before, so I figured it wouldn't be too weird.

    You know I might just be willing to travel to the DFW area for this if they would show something other than ovals! I'm a ROADIE!!!! I hate NA$CRAP!!!! I have been to and seen those that are now legends race so don't tell me what I'm missing. iRacing takes all of the stock setups away from the road side but they make sure the oval side has ALL OF THE SETUPS FOR ALL OF THE TRACKS EACH WEEK!!! Take care of those who don't know how to do road setups. Maybe then this might be worth while.

    Nice tutorial and i DID learn something today but on the subject of racing, going round in circles ISNT racing lets be fair here, it's for people who DON'T know how to race in a proper race car!
    I've never understood why folk go round in circles, it just boring as hell for me personally but each to their own aye.
