    Awesome pressing info from Shaw.
    Another OHP variation is paused presses. In addition to lockout, a lot of people fail right off the shoulders. You can pause just as you begin to press for a second or two. This is similar to paused deadlifts of the floor/spoto press

    Great video and content from Brian Shaw and Silent Mike. Loved it especially the chat about why no bands, chains are typically used in OHP's.

      Everyone does when they're around Brian, even WSM Eddie Hall felt that way, in one interview Eddie talks about when he eats at a table with Brian with other strongmen, that he feels like Brian is the alpha at the table and its very demoralizing to him

    Band and chains for overload are the fuckin' business. I started using them almost 10 years ago, and use overload on every exercise I can now. It feels like a half-ass workout any time I lift without them now.
    I'm gonna start incorporating more strongman exercises into my routines. That shit looks like fun.

    The soft knees part has me curious. If I'm pressing, and my knees are soft, I'll cheat every time. I have to lock my knees out in full extension for the press. Have to. It's a fail-safe mechanism for me to not push-press.

    Overhead pressing should be considered king of the upper body exercises, even more than bench. Much like the squat is considered a superior overall exercise, the overhead press engages almost all the muscles in your body, and can help increase your bench and tris and can even work the upper chest and lats. If you do standing like this, then it also activates the glutes and thighs, so it's truly an overall winner. If you did only two exercises at the gym, it should be squat and overhead press. You can build a decent physique with those two.

    Narrow grip allows you to "stack" the bar on your lats... it's more efficient imho - and also much much safer for your shoulder stabilizers. Wider grip => smaller ROM => less GAIINZZZ => more injuries...
