I'm not an rc guy, but I build models so I learn techniques through these videos. It doesn't hurt that you are very entertaining. Thanks for the video😎👍
Have fun with the Tamiya Lancia! I absolutely loved building, painting and driving mine. The only UA-cam vid I ever put up. Though the insta version had cool 80s soundtrack so you need to imagine it with Little River Band's 'Playing to Win' in the background 😂
The RTTR builds are looking great! For the hairspray technique, you should be able to chip it for days (if not longer), after the top coat dries. It all depends on the paint used as the top coat. I apply two medium coats of hairspray then typically use Tamiya paint, thinned with water, as the top coat. Works great every time 👍
Ok now I am feeling the pinch. I got really sick and lost a couple of weeks, and then have been spending the last week catching up with work and life stuff that fell to the wayside. I really have to force myself into RC mode and get going, luckily I left the creative stuff painting and scaling for the end, unfortunately it is probably my weakest aspect of skills I have developed since getting back into RC. Admittedly this is also the first hard deadline I have been up against, so I can't fail me now. I honestly don't know where you guys find the extra time to be so incredibly productive, or maybe I'm just that slow. 🤔 Looking forward to seeing everyone and all the builds for my 1st comp. 😁✌
Random guy hear but best of luck for you first comp and keep faith you can push through and get up and going again . Hopefully you’re feeling better now 🇬🇧🤙

Getting sick sucks!!!! You've got a few weeks to get ready... just take your time and do your best! The biggest mistakes I make are when I rush things. No matter what, it's all about having fun at the event and meeting new people! Good luck and make sure to say hi!
Thank you. So a Bob Ross moment then on your Sugga, it happens. Looks very cool nonetheless. Speaking of, so is your rally project car. And just a thought, can you 'whistle something up' from spares for your class 3 comp car? Something quick and easy. Which probably does not really exist in the scale building world, so more a figure of speech. But you get the idea, a nice almost scratch build from left over parts to take home the trophies! Anyways, cheers 👍
This build is turning out pretty sweet. Love that you're using an old Volvo, even if the Swedes are sworn enemies to us Norwegians (not really, but there is defintely a rivalry there). One little note though, it's not suuuga, it's sugga. Quick/hard G, as in you have to speed it up at bit. Sugga means sow, or female pig that has had some piglets. In Norwegian it's sugge, in Swedish it's sugga. :)
@@scalebuildersguild Friendly-ish rivalries is what makes the world go round. I remember the Canadians definitely having one with the US the few times I've been to Canada. Enough that I was warned about crossing the border to the US on a couple of day trips. "Everyone has a gun there, and they're crazy". I mean, it's sorta accurate, but maybe a bit much. 😅
I’ve always had better luck with the salt-and-hairspray method vs. just hairspray. The salt makes it come off way easier and the effect is a bit more contrast-y IMO. If you felt like it you could drybrush/stipple on some more, or use powder pigments to increase the rust and make it look a bit rustier. There’s even paint that includes iron and literally rusts, I think it’s by AK?
Dont feel bad, I'm painting a trx4 sport body with the camper, and I've already royally messed up the paint job. Tried to do some retro stripes, all I ever get is paint that somehow makes its way underneath the tape I used for lines so now it looks awful.....
@@scalebuildersguild drops, if it can eat through it can eat less if reduced. The truck looks great anyway, so authentic rash will be perfect. Half created half demonstrated.
The 037 is great looking kit but i don't like that it's 4wd as the 037 is famously the last RWD car to win the World Rally Championship. So I would love to see you build it as a RWD rally car.
@@scalebuildersguild I have to say I CANNOT agree more about the Bambu it's sooooo good and quick, I printed Josh's modified Sugga body and it is sooooo nice cannot believe how smooth the prints are.
Question: if this show is going to be by-weekly for a couple of weeks, how are you going to number them? Just regular, but then they won't align with the weeks, or skip over some episodes?
The Volvo Sugga is awesome .
Thanks!

The Por-chahh project has been weathering yours and Josh's sanity!
I'm sure the X1 is great printer, but I'll wait for Prusa to catch up.
Fair enough, thanks for watching!
That Moose looks like it came from FallOut 76
Mistakes are usually good research and development 🫡
Thanks for sharing your mistakes so all know you are mortal just like us lol.
No problem! Thanks for watching!
The Volvo was absolutely perfect until you brought to our attention the errors 🤣 that 5th leg is too funny.
Thanks!
@SBG please Make RED Moose shirts all 5 legs lol
Just posted them to the site for sale!

Man, I can't believe I didn't notice it!
Don't use emery or sand paper but if you rub hard with a few drops of thinner or acetone, alcohol. Or use 1500 to 3000 grit. Get your rub on bud.
Sorry, but acetone is not good advice, you’ll eat right through every layer of paint. Trust me on that. 😂

Just lightly sand bits with 800 wet and dry paper
Sure, but that’s an entirely different look to chipping, and not my intention.

what wheels and tires are on the volvo?

.250 Vanquish Method Roosts. Thanks for watching!
Cheers. Busy watching u on pheonix review for ideas👍
could you provide a lead as to what ai program you used to generate the moose, thx
Mid-Journey. Good luck, and make sure if you're doing a Moose you count the legs 😂.
Aquanet bro
what interior are you putting in the Sugga ?
Custom. Mostly printed.
@@scalebuildersguild I have to say I CANNOT agree more about the Bambu it's sooooo good and quick, I printed Josh's modified Sugga body and it is sooooo nice cannot believe how smooth the prints are.
Link for the Volvo body!!!!
It's on CG trader, but not like this. It's been modified significantly. If you want, you'll need to buy the file there, and modify it yourself.
Hit it with some sand paper to bring up the red. And with the moose. Why didn't u just leave the leg out when u traced it?
Honest mistake... I didn't even notice it until it was already done! And now it's too late to take it off. Oops!
Where did you get the body?
We created it from a digital file designed for CG. Then printed it.
@@scalebuildersguild well it’s really cool. I’d love to get one.
Matt have you done multicolor yet
Not yet, no. I generally don't leave my parts raw, so I don't do a lot of color printing.
@@scalebuildersguild got ya. Can’t wait to my printer
Why do you leave a lot of your trucks sitting on the tires?
I rotate them daily.
Can somebody tell me what mind of yellow rings that are on the wheels?
They’re Vanquish bead lock rings.
@@scalebuildersguild thank you very mich!
Question: if this show is going to be by-weekly for a couple of weeks, how are you going to number them? Just regular, but then they won't align with the weeks, or skip over some episodes?
An episode is an episode. If there’s a gap in weeks, but no show, the episode number hasn’t changed.
The mouse is orange...😅🤦♂️
Can you or do you know of someone that can 3D print me a Peterbilt cab and hood in 1/18th scale and 1/10th scale?
Look up Wesmade. Good luck!
