You can use polymer glue, polyurethane glue or just wood glue... the types of glue that I suggest can be found in tool stores! But you should definitely not use neoprene glue, also called contact glue, because it eats away at the polystyrene!
About twenty kilos max with table legs and everything! but I cannot carry it alone because of its width. All materials are very light and most of the weight comes from the plaster fabric layer :)
