I love talking about workflows as they have helped me so much to make more music and find better direction as an creative! So don't underestimate the power of a good workflow! Also thanks to everyone who came to the session, unfortunately I can't (for some reason) keep the live chat here, but it was awesome to see so many of you there!
I don't think people should be afraid of music theory. It is basically a language for musicians to describe music and communicate ideas to other musicians. On the one hand, it is nerdy and complicated and the formal study of the subject overemphasizes western classical music. Nevertheless, even music that was created by people with no knowledge of theory has underlying structures and patterns that music theory can analyze, reproduce, and understand. It is basically the study of why and how music sounds good to us.
