Very good call on that option. It definitely looks "minimalist" (in a good way) while also, due to its small size allows for a surprisingly versatile range of hand positions and shooting techniques. I dig it! If I ever replace my old school A2 style handguard on my mid-length 16" carbine (and make it free-floating) that or the Slate Black Industries (also super cool liberal'ish pro-2A folks) "SLATE STOP" would be what I would buy. I had never thought about the versatility of such a small hand-stop though until you pointed out the different hand position possibilities.
Yeah, I've never used one of those, but I imagine I'd want to run it like you're doing - between the fingers just seems like it'd be a little awkward 🤷♂️
Have you considered the Emissary Designs hand stop? I have one and absolutely love it. The KAG is great, but the Emissary Designs lets me get a better grip on the rail. Ended up putting the Emissary on both of my new builds. The Arisaka just feels little too small to me.
@@jonathanwick1265 The cool thing also about the small profile hand stops is that they give you more options for your hand position due to their small size as Mr. Sapper Gentleman demonstrates. I never thought much about that and honestly dismissed these ultra small types of hand-stops until he demonstrated the different hand positions possible with it that you can't do with a larger hand stop or VFG.

The Handbrake? That's on the bigger end, and I was looking for as small as possible.
@@SapperGentleman Yeah that's the one! LOL. Sorry I screwed up the name. I totally get it. For a smaller profile the Arisaka is hard to beat.

Fing shui.
Show it with a Grip Clamp “C”
So what's up with the cut hairs? You getting a day job? LOL
