This lady is an angel. If I were in his situation I would want nothing but to die. Thank god for this nurse and anyone like her. You are making a whole world of difference. Thank you.
There is no such thing as a FORMER Marine! Once a Marine, always a Marine for life! Keep fighting soldier!! God Bless!
Marines are not soldiers, though they have been referred to as “soldiers of the sea” in past recruiting posters. In the U.S., people not in the Army are not soldiers, especially so for Marines - who will strongly protest being painted with that brush.
He was a marine, now he's a vegetable. Salt water + vegetable = pickles, pickle rick confirmed
David_kang3Kang......No disrespect intended to this Marine. I was unaware that calling a Marine a soldier was offensive. My main sentiment was to emphasize that there are no former Marines. ( I've always thought that anyone who fought for a noble cause was considered a soldier) God Bless!

I was an ICU nurse. Family and friends will say “Do everything that can be done to keep them alive” without understanding what the aftermath and quality of life will be after. I have empathy for the family that it’s not an easy decision. But seeing cases like these every week made me leave the ICU. There are worse things than death but as a society we don’t seem to accept that. This is an anoxic injury and it isn’t rare. Heart goes out to him.
@cxxx valee ya know I can only speak from my personal experiences and what I would want. I guess it’s unfair for me to say “who would want that” but at the same time I gotta say who the hell would want that? I agree. Thank you for your service for real. ❤️💪🏽
I can see how some people would want to try and get better no matter what. The hope to get better is enough for them. Some want to be around for other people like their kids or partners, no matter their state.
But for me id rather not. I agree with the other commentors here. I've told my mom similar things, where if its a major lifelong complication or a high chance of more pain for the rest of my life then let me go. I've lived with chronic pain this far, it something happens that makes it even more unbearable just please let me go and let me rest.
@@h.s.6269 True. I can also understand that different life experiences lead to different decision making. I guess the view of what suffering is might not be unanimous. But for the ones that didn’t put it in writing before hand I really feel for. A lack of documentation(will, POA, DNR etc etc) was at times a big deciding factor of what a persons future would look like.
@cxxx valee 🙏🏼❤️💪🏽
There's a certain, shall we say "culture", in the US that denies people thier right to not live in pain, or a vegetative state, because of their beliefs. It's disgusting.

He fought for this country. Why is it even a fight to get him what he needs to function in the world. Get him what he needs…FOR FREE!!!
Because he fought for a governments illegal war and not for his country. His countrymen don't feel a need to take care of him because his countrymen didn't ask him to go to war. His government tricked him to go to war and then treated him like the useless tool he let himself be.
