Some friends of mine are getting married and I said I would make the box that wedding guests put cards and gifts in.

Beautiful work.. where can I find your plans for this? I’m getting married next month and would love to build it
Firstly congratulations on your upcoming marriage, I wish you health and happiness for your future. Thank you for the kind comments on my build, unfortunately I don’t have any plans but it’s very easy to make following the video. If you have any questions or get stuck you can contact me through my website.
Matt Berry Custom thank you, will do. Just one question are those all 1x2? And what router bit did you use?
Yes it’s all 2x1 but planed all round so it’s about 3/4” x 1” 3/4.
This can be done with any combination of sizes, the principles the same. My son did it recently with 3/4” x 3/4” and it looked fantastic. The router bit was just a standard 1/4” (shank and tip) straight cutter. The resin and colour pigments from eBay, a uk company called Resin4art. Hope this helps, contact me through my website if you need any further assistance. Good luck 😊👍🏻
That looks awesome. Can you give out the dimensions of the box as well as the type and size of the wood
Sincerest apologies for the late reply, I’ve been away. From what I remember the box was 12”w x 21”l x 14”h.
The wood is cheap white pine. It was bought as 2”x1” planed all round so the finished dimensions are roughly 1 3/4” x 3/4”.
Hope this helps, thanks very much for watching!
Hi the Cuprinol you are using is it a wax or stain,
I would like to use it for a box I’m making,
Hope to hear from you
THANKS
Hi there, thanks for watching. The Cuprinol product is actually an outdoor fence stain, if I remember correctly the colour was called muted clay. Hope this helps 😊👍🏻
@@MattBerryCustom Hi thanks for replying,
I m having a problem finding the stain but I will keep on trying
@@paulstrange6654 Hi there, I don’t know what country you’re in, I’m in the UK and I got it from Wickes. It was a tester pot if I remember correctly.
I reckon you would get a similar effect using grey water based paint, but try it on a scrap piece first! Good luck 😊👍🏻
@@MattBerryCustom Hi I’m in the UK so I will try wicks
You have been really helpful and I do appreciate it,
THANKS
Well done! Good mix of materials in the inlay. See you at MC! Throw something at me if you see me 😀
Mr Geoffrey Smith Thank you very much Sir! Yes, I look forward to meeting you, anything you want throwing your way? Rocks? Sharp implements or would a Berry Custom sticker suffice? 😉 Thanks again for the positive comments. 👍🏻
Berry Custom Haha, if you attack me with your sticker, I'll counter attack with my own sticker 😲🤣
Mr Geoffrey Smith Stickers at dawn it is then! See you at the weekend, safe journey my friend.
