Glad you liked it Brian! The method for rebuilding settings is a huge time saver but would only really use it for keyboard and bin settings maybe. All other settings tend to change with updates and brining them over into new profiles can cause issues and defeat the point. Just as a caution since I know I neglected to mention it in the video!
Wow the relink is really nice, Premiere had this for yonks but this is great for Avid now. I was on 2022.7 and this would have come in handy when I moved over computers mid edit. I have a few months of updates left on my perpetual licence so will get this update
Yeah it is a nice update (still a lot of features I'm waiting for but this was a good one). Relink is indeed an improvement though as you say EVERY OTHER NLE has had this for quite some time. FCPX, Resolve, Premiere... Avid just catching up. Now don't get me wrong, Avid has a lot of strengths and it's still easily my first choice for any big editing work but man there's a bunch of areas where all the NLEs do it a more logical way that Avid just needs to get with! (Will be talking about this more in the next video).
Nothing as of yet for me. I've heard other people talk of issues with workspaces and other buggy behaviour but that was fixed for me by creating a new user profile. Even titler+ playing nice so far!
@@DaCarnival I'm still getting a few crashes with Titler, but have been using 2020/2021 last few projects and there's definitely an improvement. I'll still likely be using subcap tool for adding text, for now.
Hey, me again - if you get a chance can you check if there are any issues with Resolve roundtripping; for some reason, I can no longer import AAF timelines into Resolve. thanks
Very comprehensive detail. I have to say the Title+ works really well; first time ever.
This is great! I love the new features. The sequence templates are a timesaver. Also, good tip on the rebuilding of user settings.

Great video! Thank you
Very welcome Ben! Thanks for watching :)

2022.10 🔥
Any major caveats/new bugs/broken things that have surfaced with this update so far?

A better (useable) Titler almost makes me want to update mid project... I'll give it a week more.

Hey Alvin. I'll check today. Did you create a new user setting and a new export setting for the AAF?
@@theavidassistant Not a new export setting; I'll give that a try.
Yeah I wouldn't usually bring export over from old settings. They change between versions so it can trip avid up if you bring over the old one
Quick update, got it working - rebuild of export sorted it thanks again.
