I used to think blood bending was that good HOWEVER any earth bender can barry a blood bander LITERALLY. I am being very literal here imagine how easy it is to barry anyone including a blood bender.
I've always loved earthbending from the start of the series and I was disappointed we weren't getting earthbender avatar series but I'm glad that's already happening and the series will have a focus on energybending.
Did you skip all the episodes where Katara learned to waterbend without being near a body of water 😂😂😂😂 And did you skip the fight in Ba sing se where Zuko blocked Katara's waterbending with his fire. Or you skipped the part where Zuko defeated an earthbender with hammers to save a kid😂😂😂😂 Waterbending, At night they get a power boost In the rain they get a power boost In the full moon, they get a power boost They can also bend wherever a living thing exists. Your desert example is a weird one since a similar thing can be said about earthbenders on the sea or in the north or south pole. They'll be useless. I doubt much thought went into this
In ur examples, u are using powerful, skilled benders and comparing then to sub par earth benders. Also, bloodbending is limited to a certain time and to certain benders. Additionally, it’s the only form of bending to be made illegal, thus limiting it further. And it is true water benders get power boosts but they also get dips in power level, so its a tradeoff. And as a diurnal species, a waterbender will usually be bending in the day. Earthbending is constant, is more versatile than water (as more materials can be bent by earth) can be used to make permanent structures, and can even be used to immediately launch or bury opponents. None of the bending forms are useless, but there’s a reason Ba Sing Se was an impenetrable powerhouse for so long
@@drakestallworth3621 Yeah. And there's also a reason why the people who broke through Ba sing se were firebenders. Iroh's army did not use a drill. Earth bending is powerful. But the examples given to discredit other elements in the video make little sense as we have many examples in the series and in the novels of everyday earthbenders entering clashes with everyday firebenders for example with varying results. The video said fire cannot block other elements when there are many examples to the contrary. The video discredited airbending when we have many examples of Aang casually blowing away giant boulders with his air bending. Ergo, the points in the video only make sense if you discount or forget what was shown in the actual story. I doubt that waterbender who controlled the vines was a Katara or Paku level master. We have seen master earth benders clash with master fire, water or air benders again with varying results. If what you said was true earth bending masters will win every clash with other elemental masters. But that isn't true. Just like ordinary earthbenders don't win all clashes with ordinary benders of other elements. And the story has shown just how dangerous each element can be
@@drakestallworth3621he video said fire can't block water, which is false. It said fire can't block Earth or air which makes me think the creater of this video skipped the whole of book 2. He said air is just a fan. We have many examples of Aang casually blowing away giant boulders. He even shattered a huge flaming rock with air alone in season 1. Heck, he stopped a whole volcano with air bending alone. Name one earthbender who would have done better
I agree with most of this, but I disagree that Fire cant block anything. Fire could be hot enough to evaporate water if they clashed, and in generally if the firebender is powerful enough I think the fire they unleash could be strong enough to sort of "Deflect" or "Redirect" attacks through the sheer pressure, temperature and ferocity of their attack. Basically, a firebenders defense IS their offense. Also, Master Jeong seemed able to pull off some interesting defensive moves based on water bending, which also seems to further indicate that their is some defensive utility to be found in firebending, we just havent seen it yet. Good video.
I think that water bending is that best. Katara has shown that water is powerful. She can heal and blood bend. Also the inn keeper Hama taught Katara not only to blood bend but to extract water form the surrounding plant life and oxygen. Also it’s not so easy for earth benders to just sand bend or metal bend, for Toph metal bending came easy but not so much sand bending she had to take time and practice it and towards the end of book 3 when the crew is training at the firelords beach house you can see that Toph has improved her sand bending when she shows Aang her replica of Ba Sing Se. But that’s just my opinion and I do see where your coming from because like air earth is everywhere but unlike air it’s physically strong and and can kill in one blow.
All the elements have strong and weak points, but Earth is the strongest and I'm tired of pretending it's not. Here is my essay: - Fire: you can create your fire, which is nice, but you can also get hurt by it; lighting is amazing, but can also kill you or be redirected; boom boom sparky thing has a 100% death rate so far, so it's good, but also dangerous. Therefore, fire is good, powerful, great attack, but a lot of chances of getting yourself killed while mastering it if you don't have protagonist energy. The video had a point, fire doesn't have defensive moves, either you Ty Lee your way out of your enemy or attack him before he gets you. - Water: water is very versatile, Hama shows how to take water from plants, swamp guys used waterbending to control plants and bloodbending *is* OP, but Katara said it herself that in the desert she was helpless; most bloodbenders can only use the skill during full moon, so unless you can schedule the time you need to fight for your life, this alone shouldn't be a reason for water be the obvious better element. - Air: people dismiss it a lot because of the pacifist principles, but Yangchen was hell of aggressive with it and you just can't lock up an airbender away from his element (unless 💀). Airbending was based in a martial art style that is extremely useful in fights against multiple people and it shows, it is a great element. That said, whenever there was an airbender locked up, even without his hands tied or something like that, he was never able to scape using airbending against bars or something, expanding whatever was keeping him locked, it's like once you remove the possibility of movement, they stop being functional. - Earth: the element by itself had a lot of weakness, such as very few good agressive movements: they would defend and throw a big rock you usually have time to dodge or explode. Metal bending and modern fighting (Korra time) solved it, earthbenders now had a much more fast and versatile fighting style that still holds a great defense. Also, there are other lesser known sub bending such as lava, glass, sand (not like desert people, like what Kyoshi used to "walk on air") and the immortality technique (that we know is related to earth because Kyoshi learned from her earthbender master. - Earthbending is the best because it solved its biggest flaw and now has an overwhelming ammount of versatility and sub bendings, also, even tough you can't create it, you can always be surrounded by it, either by doing what Kuvira did with her suit, going to ships/planes made of metal or just taking some rocks with you (that's all Ghan needed after all).
correct me if im wrong but didnt that old lady (who showed katara blood bending) say you can pull water out of oxygen or out of thin air or am i going crazy

Blood bending, I rest my case
It is not only a rare skill and illegal in LOK, but it is also usually only performed during a full moon.
Yes, Because the the style you can only use once a month unless your better at water bending then KATARA is so much better
Bone bending, I rest my case.
