i actually dont think its zoom, i think they did talk on zoom but jinkx also filmed with a regular camera. It's just a theory but if you look closely you can see that all the guests on the pit stop looks to the side and not twoards the "camera"

Season 5 is still the best season ever with the most talented queens ever. Alyssa, alaska, detox, roxxxy, come on!! Even the queens that were eliminated at an early stage were fierce.

I would say season 3 was more difficult with five sowing/design challenges in one season and the last three happened consecutively (Hair Ball, Makeover, Money Ball) and Yara Sofia broke down on stage mid-lip sync during the Money Ball episode.

The fucks at WOW are applying a blurring filter over all the girls' faces, making them look like 2D blobs. I hate it and it needs to stop. I mean yes Trixie and Jinkx look STUNNING but lord........please....remove the Vaseline. Their skin is fine. Their skin _texture_ is fine. WOW is subliminally making them young kids more self-conscious by forcing these queens to appear at a literally unattainable level.

It's perfectly applied but close to them we will see dark lines down the nose, cakes makeup, uneven app overdrawn lips and texture called reality. I absolutely wish all channels would acknowledge filter being used. I definitely was frustrated that Trixie could look flawless as a woman but I don't. Now you mentioning it made me feel better.

Can I just say how immaculate Jinkx looks. It’s such a testament to her talent showing clips from season 5 runways where she was in some...choice outfits, yet still managed to go a full 8 weeks straight being in the top and winning the season overall. But all these years later, it’s so nice to see her evolve into beautiful forest queen comedy fairy theater witch she is today.

I rewatched the Jinkx Monsoon season and the last episode of the top 4 challenge made me sick to my stomach. Especially in untucked. I forgot just how much she had to battle through and all the bs she had to put up with to get that crown. What a graceful, beautiful, KIND, Queen and human being. I love her and admire her in so many ways.
I agree after rewatching it myself more than once I don’t know how much of production it was because a lot of it seemed like it might have not been since Roxxxy said herself on All Stars she wasn’t going to blame it on the edit I’m glad Jinkx won and is where she’s at now

There were so many HUGE personalities on that season, Alyssa Edwards, Detox, Alaska Roxxxy (boo meanie) but as I watched I saw Jinkx consistently do better than the others! She deserved that win, and I love all those other Queens I named (except Roxxxy) but my god Jinkx was so funny, her humor so elevated, she just stood out in a crowd of many talented girls.

Like, she laughed at the famous "Miss Vaaaanjiieeee" moment, but then in a later episode when Michelle mentioned it, Ru cry-laughed but it was so fake it was hard to watch.

Jinkx represents a time in drag race that I miss. A lot of queens didn’t have as much coming into the competition. They had to be more crafty. Today, most queens have stunning outfits and so the runway walks aren’t as impressive for me.
I agree, i was rewatching a few days ago and thinking the same thing. It's really different now
more relevant than ever in 2024. and several Queens are talking about it now pretty regularly that it's essentially like people are just buying. the most spectacular looks possible and ru is having to kind of make sure that doesn't cause them to just always win because they're rich.
I liked Monet x changes patchwork dress in general, but also because it's kind of went against that in a clever way. if you bought that dress it would cost a lot but it was made for her buy someone that mattered to her. it was important to her in a personal way. so it's like yeah she didn't make that but the garment itself is important to her. she didn't just buy it to win a competition.
