Absolutely awesome song, has an awesome solo that is actually a not a solo but is a guitar and saxophone playing together that sounds like a single instrument.
I remember when this first came out. I loved it then and I still love it! I never get tired of this song. Their harmonies are off the chain!!! Love Jimmy's voice (the 1st one who sang, in blue), he had Gorgeous long hair, Awesome smile, and such Great style!! RIP Jimmy Stokely.
I've always loved this song. I laughed pretty hard with you at the end when he did the splits. I was actually waiting for that moment, to see your reaction. 😂😂
These guys were from a half hour down the road from where I grew up. My late husband actually played keyboard with them before they had their break (playing bars & hotel lounges)! Funny story: went to see them with my best friend at our local college as a 15 yr old. We were SO enamored of Jimmy! Lol We had backstage passes (which wasn't as big as it sounds nowadays lol) and as we walked them out to their limo, they popped the trunk to show off a box full of jars of moonshine. 😳 They were heading back to their old stomping grounds and asked us if we wanted to party with them. I'm still rather in shock myself that we both declined and let them know we had a curfew & had to get home after the concert!!! 🤪😂🤪😂 Ahh... the choices we make! Probably for the best at 15, though! LOL
They had 10 nbr 1 song on the Country charts but I don't know any of them as I thought this was it for them. Always thought this was the same singer not 2 guys. Great tune. I saw someone suggest 'Climax Blues Band' - Couldn’t Get It Right. Also a great tune I 2nd that. If that guitar tone was good for you check out 'The Raspberries - Go All The Way', it's fire. Cheers.
I've said it for years. Music is true sorcery, people who with a combination of sounds and harmonies can inspire and create emotional reactions in people and cause outward physical reactions (dancing). True sorcery!
I somewhat agree with you on that but there's also "dancing in the spirit" for GOD. King David did it- to me it's what's behind it. I know Lucifer was the music leader in Heaven until he fell. That's why we got the music trash we have now. 🌼
Dude you want somebody that knows how to do a guitar and banjo and everything else try Roy Clark Malaguena you will absolutely flip right out of your chair because you're going to watch him and you're going to wonder how he does it all❤❤❤❤❤❤
🇬🇧 This was my favourite song back in the 70s, i still love it now. And i love that you're into it too. This was the first time I've heard a "live" version, a tbh there's not much difference between "live" & studio version. That was, (as you say) FIRE 🔥❤🎼🎶🎙️🎙️
Yeah, these lyrics can make a person blush. Haha I like that first guy's deep, low voice. That's something you don't hear often. Song rec: "Jumper" by Third Eye Blind. It's a song that gets in your head and you can't stop singing it.
Good for you young man, job well done letting your creative and artistic side enjoy all types of music! In the 70s, if it made you feel good, you were good all day!!!
Long haired Lead Vocalist Jimmy Stokley was fantastic, and, Guitarist J.P. Pennington too, but, WOW, THE BASS LINE IN THIS SONG IS OFF THE CHARTS BRO!!!
I don't know if you're familiar with the band Tesla if not you should check out some of their stuff the lead singer looks like the twin brother from the lead singer of Tesla.
I'm glad you clarified!! Cause I, along with a bunch of people, were gonna give you crap about the ACDC thing. 😆😆✌️❤️ Btw, I did love dancing to this song!
Happy Gilmore is the first thing that I think of with this song. I feel ya with the guitar tone. Similar for me is the song Let your love flow by the Bellamy bros.
I recently subscribed to your channel and an loving your reactions to various music. So, you always say to put suggestions down in the comments, and although I can't believe you could wade through all the comments to find suggestions, I'm going to give it a try. Here's my first suggestion: Check out and react to the band KALEO and their first hit here in the USA: "Way Down We Go". It's a great song, and I think you'll be amazed by their lead singer's voice. The band is from Iceland.
He's using a Gibson, Les Paul, and It's an iconic guitar. In time, distinguishing between instruments gets easier, especially being interested, as well as asking about it. Each make of a guitar sounds different, if only in nuance. Also the Pick Ups, which first receive the vibration of the strings can also be customized. Most players have one, to several Foot Pedals with buttons. Different pedals have different sounds, or sound effects, that can be turned on/off by their foot. There's a little for you, Shon. Thanks for your videos. Try Steve Vai, who in an exceptional guitarist. A good video is him doing "For the Love of God," with Holland Orchestra in 2004. Also, Buckethead, "Soothsayer, (the most emotional version ever)." Both are better live, because they're instrumentals.
Best slow dancing song. Just grab your special other, hold them close and move with that beat baby. If you at a school dance you can be sure that there was teacher's pulling the kids apart. Our coach had a great line when breaking us up,...if you two get any closer you're gonna be standing behind each other. He would stand there grinning at us. 😊😊😊😊
I first heard of this song from Happy Gilmore. Adam Sandler sang a little bit of it. I absolutely fell in love with it and it just puts a smile on my face, the longer version is better tho. Great reaction. ❤
They only had one rock album then changed over to country later. That first album is hard to find these days. Wore out several 8 tracks and cassettes of this in the 70's.
Exile like AC/DC? Haha, I was rolling on floor. But yes, ABBA is more like it...u got that one right. I like all three of those bands, btw. Thanks for the RX and the laugh! You're a good one Shon
yeah, lead singer jimmy stokley (long hair, blue/purple jump suit) was an amazing showman ❤ unfortunately he left/got pushed out of exile shortly after this hit song, and sadly a few years later died at only 40 yrs. old. i miss his style and energy ❤ "kiss you all over" was written by chapman & chinn - huge hit makers in the late '70s/early '80s. mike chapman i think also produced this single, exile's only #1 pop hit.
As first generation Australian, this song with its lyrics always brings me to tears. The unjust towards our Indigenous population is so shameful. The band became very famous in Australia for its pursuit of fairness and justice to the indigenous people. There are many more in there catalogue on the same issue. Glad that you got the message.
Exile Reaction--- AC/DC I Thought your ears are completely different then mine. Then your said ABBA, that makes more sense. I want to say more but It took me 5 minutes to type this because I am drunk. I am a new subscriber to your bad ass shirtless reaction channel.
I want you to watch the pbs series country music . It’s not so much about country music the genre as it is about how the different cultures and music came together in our beautiful country to make all of the different flavors of music that we make . How instruments came from different cultures and formed different genres .
Hey Shon, if you could choose one instrument you'd like to play well, which would it be?? And second question, which instrument do you enjoy hearing the most!!?? 😮😮😮😊😊😊❤❤❤ 5:27
hi, still watin on some grateful dead, the largest live performance grossing band of all time.start with scarlet begonias, fire on the mountain. shakedown street and go from there. wont be disappointed
What up Shon!! Been with u since the beginning and I’ve been requesting this for awhile with no luck but I’m gonna keep trying because it’s that good and I know you’ll love it! Chris Cornell-Nothing Compares 2 U-ua-cam.com/video/IuUDRU9-HRk/v-deo.htmlsi=c2T1OC5FzDOtVDNA written by Prince and taken to #1 by Sinead O’Connor but IMO this version is the best. Peace
Ok now I suggest, based on this, Couldn’t Get It Right by Climax Blues Band. It’s like groovy rock funk.
That would be great! I don’t see anyone doing that song, and it’s one of the best in my opinion.
I wholeheartedly agree!!
Absolutely awesome song, has an awesome solo that is actually a not a solo but is a guitar and saxophone playing together that sounds like a single instrument.
❤most definitely
This song spent 4 weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard Charts!
…and was the #5 hit of 1978!
I remember when this song came out ...the older grandparent generation was shocked 😂
From 1978! I can't believe it's already a 46 year old song. :)
Right???? Still a great groove!
@@dl00076 Yes, of course. Especially because it brings back memories of youth.
Ah, the memories! I remember this song well! I became a teenager in 1978 when this song came out.
@@armandoperez7967 Me too. 😊

My FAVORITE 70’s song EVER!! 🎉🎉🎉
It's a song about being in love and buttering the biscuits because you are in love. It's a hard needle to thread and they did it masterfully.
Thank you, I was highly confused by the AC/DC reference, but abba was definitely roller skating music!😂💖
Same. 😂
I skated to ABBA in a light,fun way.However,I skated to AC/DC as well,real fast...🎙🎶🤘
@@maryannturton9830yes!!!
I always think about the movie Happy Gilmore when I hear this song 😂
Yeah, well you're a lousy kindergarten teacher. I've seen those finger paintings you brought home and they _suck!_
This is baby making music ❤
This was my mom's jam when I was growing up. She wore out the cassette tape of this album. It still holds up.
fun fact they were my prom band in 1979!
They played at some average night clubs in Lexington, KY. Still, I can never forget this song. If you only have one super hit, this is the one.
I've always loved this song. I laughed pretty hard with you at the end when he did the splits. I was actually waiting for that moment, to see your reaction. 😂😂
Omg. This song was so popular in 1977 when i was only like 10
That was a great song for us 10 year olds to go around singing lol
Bad Company “ Feel Like Making Love “ 👍
Whenever i hear this song i think of the roller rink as a kid
The first guy to sing (long hair) was Jimmy Stokely. The lead guitarist and singer is J.P. Pennington. Awesome band with great singers!
RIP Jimmy Stokely..
We used to DANCE and roller skate our backsides off to this! STILL loving this TODAY! Says all it needs to say without "saying" it!❤❤❤
@@kellyconnell8003 Amen!👍
I always love seeing your reactions to popular songs!!!
Lol. I. Always wanted to see your reaction on this glad you finally put it up😂😂😂
Shon, you gave an old lady a true flashback! This WAS a big sock hop song in high school, and it was great hearing it again!!

Very cool late 70s vibe, takes me back..
This was a Big 70's Radio Hit!

Comrade Shon, this band touched many hearts, the balance of this music involves anyone who has good taste in music, congratulations on the comments.
This song is such a banger❤
These are the kind of songs that set the tone, expectations, standards, learning what was more important. So good! Enjoy! ✌🏻🇨🇦

Jimmy Johnson - in color
They switched to country after this song.
I remember when this came out in 78. When you said ACDC I was like Whaaaaa?? Abba, maybe, with the piano I can see it . More funk than ABBA though.
