It's always nice to see people entering the world of Final Fantasy and discovering everything. I can't wait to see you finish it and, hopefully, starting the sequel (FF7 Rebirth).
Final Fantasy is by far my favourite franchise, and I mean overall media, not just in games. I recommend playing the entire 6 - 10 stretch, those were the golden years. 4 was the first of them to have an epic story, so check that out if you don't mind pixels. You being so excited after barely doing anything in this game bodes well for you. By the time you finish Rebirth I doubt you'll remember this section of the game.
Use parry. basically during 'punisher mode', hold down shield, and when you get hit with a melee attack, Cloud will automatically do a parry Also here's the elemental weaknesses for each enemy type Monster = Ice Humans = fire Robots = Electricity Flying Monsters = wind
Playing Remake has no prerequisite, but playing Rebirth you "have to" make a choice whether you want to play side content or just the main line, and whether or not you'll be overwhelmed with the amount of side content. If you're just playing the main story you should ideally play on easy as you won't get as much exp.
@@jitox That is just a poorly thought out fan theory that has never yet been confirmed or debunked. Even if it is true, Remake was designed around the idea of new players engaging with it that never played the original so the comment was in no way "wrong" at all.

I hope you continue to play Remake and Rebirth and enjoy them and every other game this franchise has to offer. They are all fantastic, even if there are clear favorites among fans.
I loved this game, got the Platinum Trophy for it and completed the Play Log 100%. It's definitely fun! If you want more after you finish this I'd say either play OG FF7 to get a feel for the older games or play Rebirth to continue the story in this one. You can't go wrong with any Final Fantasy Imo, my personal favorites are FF4, FF12, and Crisis Core. But all of them are worth trying!
This video felt like it belongs on a channel with 350k subscribers but is instead on a channel with only 1k, it's insane. As for tips: - Use the other weapons until you get their weapon ability at full proficiency, then use whatever as you like. Every weapon you gain for every character is viable and has their own strengths, The Buster Sword is gonna be more offensive as opposed to the defensive capabilities of the iron Blade. You can use your starting weapon from beginning to end and be OP for at least normal mode, hard mode will be different obviously. - Cloud is a magical knight in terms of abilities (A good amount of physical & magic capabilities to spec how you like), Barret is a tank with utility (Abuse his ability to use long range) and Tifa is a monk (Physical combo attacker, her Chakra Materia is the healing orb without needing MP so use that as you will). - When you get the Assess Materia, use it on anything you haven't used it on yet. Trust me, it's gonna help not only immediately by uncovering weaknesses but also towards later content. And for the love of Midgar, PLAY THE YUFFIE DLC RIGHT AFTER YOU FINISH THIS. Happy hunting! Please post more videos about your journey with it! As for other FF games, try X for classic gameplay, XV for the modern action you're used to, XVI as it's the latest main title, IX if you wanna get quick views and X-2 is you enjoyed X. Oh and Kingdom Hearts if you haven't already, unironically the peak of FF material not named as such.

Square-Enix (well, SquareSoft at the time) was masterclass in CG cinematics all the way back on the original PlayStation. And now that in-game capabilities have finally caught up, their games are veritable feasts for the eyes. The classic recommendations for the series would be IV (4), VI (6), VII (7, you've got that more or less covered with the remake series), IX (9) and Tactics - War of the Lions. The Pixel Remaster collection is likely the best ways to play entries 1-6 today. The other entries are by no means bad, but tend to experiment with gameplay leading in hit-or-miss reception, or otherwise get overshadowed by the aforementioned. Expect to hear a lot about FF XIV (14). As an MMORPG it's a massive theme park embracing a lot of fanservice across the franchise, while still having some of the highest regarded narratives in the series. May be worth a try on its own if you can stomach online play, but you get a lot more out of it if you've played the series.

If this is how bro reacts to Remake then he is going to have an aneurysm with Rebirth. Also going to give "Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions" a shout out. Story is a different feel than most mainline FF games with kind of a "War of the Roses" or "Game of Thrones" level of political intrigue, but it has one of my favorite storylines in gaming. The gameplay is solid too.
Great video, subbed in the hopes of seeing a continuation! Btw here are some common misconceptions and combat mechanics that new players often have/don't know that I've noticed from watching playthroughs/streams: Materia gains AP and eventually levels up when you defeat enemies as long as it is equipped to an active character. You don't need to necessarily use it in battle, being equipped is enough. Blue materia has no effect on its own, it must be paired with another compatible materia in a linked slot on your equipment. Look for lines linking two slots on your weapons or armour. The slots will glow white when the two materia are a compatible combination. Some materia have different effects depending on if you place it in a weapon compared to an armour piece. For example the 'Elemental' materia can enfuse your weapon with elemental magic, or if placed in armour provide protection from the paired element instead. All weapons in this game can be upgraded and remain viable throughout the game, use whichever weapons you like best. That being said.. Each unique weapon gives that character a new skill in combat, usually they can only use this skill with the weapon equipped. However if you use the ability enough times in battle they will learn it permanantly. When you get a new weapon its worth using it and learning the ability even if you don't plan to use that weapon long term. Use the assess materia on enemies to get tips on how to more easily defeat them. Plus see their weaknesses and immunities. You don't have to scan an enemy every time to see this info again. Press the touchpad button (or equivilant on other controllers) during combat to bring the info screen back up any time. Blocking reduces damage by 50% and most attacks can be blocked (Except attacks with the unblockable warning indicator). Use it often! The evade has no invincibility frames, meaning it wont protect you most of the time, use it to dodge unblockables. Spamming dodge is actually slower than simply running, so its not great for moving longer distances. Generally enemies will target the character you are actively controlling, if you're getting swarmed, try switching to controlling someone else for some breathing room, after some time they will start targeting you again so keep switching characters to effectively kite the enemies around and keep the battle going at your own pace instead of theirs. Switching characters often is also encouraged as characters you control will build their ATB much faster than when AI controlled, trying to stick to playing one character means the AI controlled characters wont get ATB commands to use as frequently making the game harder. Cloud has an automatic counter attack ability. Hold the block button while in his punisher stance. If a character hits him physically Cloud will strike back automatically. This a is very effective strategy against melee attackers. Tifa's chi system is sometimes misunderstood by new players. Use the "Unbridled Strength" ability to raise her chi level. Her fists will glow yellow. Use it a second time to raise her chi level even higher. Her fists will glow red. The higher the level the longer and more powerful her normal attack combo will become. Additionally when you use her unique ability (triangle on PS), she will use a powerful attack and drop one chi level. Most characters have an ability with 'Focused' in the name, these attacks are very good at increasing the stagger bar on enemies, especially if the enemies has the 'pressured' status indicater. After staggering an enemy hit it with all of your strongest attacks! If you're out of ATB when the enemy gets staggered use each characters unique ability on triangle on the staggered enemy to build ATB very quickly. Tifa's unique abilities (on triangle) have a secondary effect. If the enemy is staggered, use Tifa's unique ability strikes to increase the stagger damage bonus. Normally the bonus is +160% extra damage. But if hit it with Tifa's unique strikes you can boost it to over +300%. (This is actually one of Chadley's intel challenges later on.) Leveled up magic materia often gains more powerful versions of that spell. For example Fire -> Fira -> Firaga. (E.g. Small fire, medium fire, big fire). To use a more powerful spell in combat, highlight the spell in the command list and press right on the dpad to cycle between them. Higher level spells cost more MP to cast and also take longer to charge before firing off. Be careful when using the higher level spells, you can easily be interrupted if hit by an attack while charging it.
Definitely need to play the first one on the original NES some time, but when you do, you have to be in the mindset that it's the 1980's and this is the best there is for video games, lol. VI, IX, IV, X.

The music is incredible. For the weapon at the end of your video, make sure to use every weapons and spam their abilities to master it because every time you use a weapon ability (ex : Focused Thrust or Triple Slash), you level up the used ability. Mastering an ability makes it usable for any weapons from X character. Feel free to change weapons after mastering it's ability. Also little tip : When an enemy is "PRESSURED", use Cloud's ability Focused Thrust, Barret's Focused Shot and/or Tifa's focused Strike to increase the pressure bar more rapidly and achieve a "STAGGER" state.

Remake is great I just finished it,Rebirth is just meh 😅you have to go around climb towers and unlock parts of the map,way to much like Ubisoft in my opinion but I already bought the game so I’ll probably finish it.
I LOVE FINAL FANTASY XIII!
Play Final Fantasy XIII now that you have seen what Final Fantasy is like. You might be pleasantly surprised.
You should try ffx after rebirth
Hop on 16 and you'll never be the same
You should at least use a different weapon until you get it to 100%
this game is like 4yrs ago but still smokes most tittles today in terms of graphics, story and immersion. really goes to show the craft of making games is slowly becoming a cash cow for some greedy execs. sad. all about the money 🤔
Really should check out atleast final fantasy 8-15 minus 11 and 14 being mmorpg and all
14 shouldn't be ignored just because of the genre, it's so much more than that
@@veloci-t6629 if you go into ff14 and beat all of the main story dlc you're looking atleast 200+ hours to beat it
Damn man I've missed on a lot😢
...rebirth 😊
Ohh i love this.
But one thing that is REALLY important. FF7 remake is a sequel of the original, you are gonna really need to play it, (Just started the video dunno if you adress this):
Also, yeah, the graphics the animation, everything is amazing, its really good to see you amazed at everything, ther are many things i gave from granted
I didn’t know that, I’ll probably have to check out the original before I play rebirth
@@diamondfire21 Yeah or you can watch a gameplay but ff7 is kind of amazing.
Ofc you can play remake at first but you are gonna realize that the game kind of supose you know things.
Im loving this btw, your reactions are "pure" i really forgot ff7 remake was so amazing and seeing trough your eyes is really exciting, keep it up pal!!
Also dont worry if things dont make sense, FF7 tends to be a lil bit confusing
dude, acting up he hasn't seen a movie quality FMVs and haven't seen loot crates. I'm out.
Perfect my ass. Graphics aside, the original was better.
No its perfect
