- CBS Evening News Anchor Norah O’Donnell is discovering family history that has been lost for generations. She took part in the PBS special “Finding Your Roots,” which is helmed by famed professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. O’Donnell found out that her Irish great-grandmother became a widow at 19, and that her grandmother Mary started working in a linen factory at 12, before eventually leaving Ireland for the United States at 20. #InsideEdition
our parent or grandparent or ancestors sacrifice so much for us to be here and all this opportunity!! Thank You !!!
Did they sacrifice animals?
They sacrifice pig for your stupidity! But unfortunately it beyond help!
They did that for me 😢
I’m gonna send them a thank you letter
Konishiwa
You're so right
@Elnathan Agbila that karen is Trump supporters that is why her stupidity beyond help!
This seems like something that would be more important to her, not all of us.
Inside edition is not really a news channel, it just says a bunch of random and mostly important information
I was thinking the same..
They didn't even talk about how she's 3rd or 4th cousins with Henry Louis Gates Jr. himself, like maybe also talk about that?
Idc
They didn’t want to talk about slave rape
@@algon6599 Oh ok
How do you think they became cousins?

My Favorite News Anchor 😁
Mine too
That's wonderful. I wanna go ahead and find out my ancestry
It's weird seeing a news anchor talking to a news anchor.
Better yet how is it talking to her own cousin, supposedly Henry the other news anchor is her 3 or 4th cousin!
I learned a lot of interesting stuff about my family. My ancestors on my mom’s side were from the Cherokee Tribe. One of my female ancestors claimed to have had a vision of The Trail of Tears before it happened, another female ancestor was the last medicine woman of her tribe, another one helped some soldiers, and a male ancestor killed a bunch of soldiers. And I’m related to Belle Starr through marriage...she married two men who were directly related to my great-great grandfather. We even found my great-grandmother’s younger half-sister that none of us had met before until two years ago. It’s pretty cool what you will find when you look up your ancestors.
One day my great great grandchildren will be saying that about my parents. I know I do I'm thankful to have been born in the US and have had the opportunity to be a kid and have gone to school.
I’ve always wanted to go on Finding Your Roots
they only take famous people, you want that service, you either have to spend all your time doing it yourself, or pay someone to

it's not, it's a promotion for the PBS show, maybe some publicity for the news reader

During a deadly pandemic???
😡
Because it's not really a deadly pandemic. If it was then it would be 24 7 news. But it has a 99% survival rate. So ya now trump gone the virus is as well.
@@waynerobinson4858 It is a deadly pandemic, however there’s still room for other news. Especially on an entertainment news channel. Besides, we need positive news too.

Belfast, NORTHERN Ireland, a city of the United kingdom Not the Republic of Ireland, which is a country unto itself, known as 'Ireland'. The distinction is somewhat important!
Its not really it Is Ireland and will always be Ireland ..
@@gary7118 I don't understand why Northern Ireland would choose to pledge loyalty to the U.K. and fight for decades against their own country, but, as you would know, that's what happened.
It seems to me that Northern Ireland wants dual citizenship: English and Irish..So yes Irish, but also loyal to the U.K., not the Republic of Ireland. So, whatever way you look at it, Northern Ireland is distinct from The Republic of Ireland. No matter how we would prefer it to be.
If you can shed further light on this, as I am neither from Northern Ireland, nor the Republic of Ireland, that would be appreciated.
@@daniellamcgee4251 truth is it was took by force ....
Her family actually came from Donegal. In fact, the same area as my family, so not part of the UK and very much Irish!
