October 10 is Yevgeny Kisin's birthday. Dear and beloved Eugene!I sincerely congratulate you on your birthday! I wish you all the best and joyful things in your life. Thank you so much for your talent as a musician and a PERSON.
Evgeny Kissin is my favorite pianist. This interpretation is, in my opinion, the best. The musicians, conductor, pianist, are all phenomenal! I am also in awe of the people who took the sound, the images and edited them into this magnificent video. It's so beautiful, it moves me to tears. Thank you to these people for letting us enjoy this over and over, for free 🙂
I first heard this when I was 15. I have loved it ever since and I’m now 82, and love all piano concertos. I just love the fireworks of Chopin and of Rachmaninov - but this at 14:50 of Chopin just fills my heart with joy and sadness it is SO beautiful.
I am now 62 and have loved these concertos for all my life. Evgeny Kissin is my favorite pianist. This interpretation, the musicians, conductor, pianist, are all phenomenal! I am also in awe of the people who took the sound, the images and edited them into this magnificent video. It's so beautiful, it moves me to tears. Thank you for these people for letting us enjoy this over and over, for free 🙂
And I 72, I'll be back at 82 and hear it again as if the first time. What beautiful music those dear pudgy fingers make! I had to take an intermission to catch my breath, dry my eyes and wait for the smile of joy on my face to relax. So happy.
How does such a magnificent performance garner only one comment and so few views? Shocking. I can only say that Kissin is one of the foremost interpreters of the Chopin 1st having been playing it in concert since he was 12. Few might equal him. None surpass him.
At 14:50 my heart stops. Somewhere in my DNA memory, the chords of this slow movement beg for absolute attention. Evgeny Kissin has the best rendition: slow, soft, decisive.
I came to hear a proper orchestra, and I am far from disappointed! Zubin Mehta has only gotten richer with the years. Wonderfully strong, gentle, or subtle, perfect accompaniment to the meat course: Evgeny Kissin.
Magnificent, the piano rises from the flames of the full orchestra unscathed, fragile, tender. Behind the music of the keyboard, the orchestra is a still soft ember. What beautiful harmony between Mehta, Kissin, and the players!
Yes, this is beautiful. I love Chopin, teh best for me.... But there are others... Rachmaninoff piano concerto 2, from Kissin, Rachmaninov piano concerto 3,from Matsuev, Liszt piano concerto 1 from Kocsis ... Hmmm. A kind of magic.
This is my favorite piece, there is so much sadness and pain expressed, but what I really like is that Chopin could make such a depressing piece very entertaining. 0:00: So depressing (and sometimes dramatic), but on the other hand, so peaceful and quiet. I love it! 20:54: The perfect romantic concerto. So expressive! 30:36: Such a dramatic movement, included with excitement and curiosity! Kissin is so talented, he performed this concerto at an age of 13! He should be nicknamed “Evgeny Chopin” or “Frédéric Kissin”! Good luck on your future performances, Evgeny Kissin! (39:45 Kissin deserves that much applause and attention!)😊❤🎉
The problem is that most people haven't been introduced to classical music properly. What Ariana Grande makes is simple, accessible and "cool", which is the definition of pop(ular) music. It is sad that such an important part of the musical world is unknown to a large portion of the population. But I wouldn't blame pop music, as it is only an evolution of the music we know. As long as music continues to live on, we should be happy about it and disregard the form it takes to achieve longevity.
@@finllinl3383 You´re right! Like you said, its "pop"ular. Im not blaming, but I disagree that this is the evolution of music. And it's ok if classicals are not popular, its just a pitty that the majority cant enjoy it.
I agree it's a pity that classical music isn't being appreciated by more people, BUT ... Chopin's piano concerto simply isn't one of the more popular classical music pieces. A UA-cam video of Tchaikovsky's popular 1812 Overture has over 36 million views.
2nd Mvt. comparison: I've been listening to this recording with the one I've had for years with Artur Rubinstein and Stanislaw Skrowaczewski and the New Symphony Orchestra Of London. Almost phrase by phrase. The two are probably three generations or more apart. Both versions are beautiful, perfect in every way. Rubinstein's is slower, more considered and definitely more romantic. Yet Kissin pours his heart out here. He's clean as a whistle technically but a little less schmaltzy. But I'd be perfectly happy with either interpretation.
Thank you, Evgeny, for your music, your interviews and your life story for making this year of 2020 so uplifting. I wish I had discovered you earlier in life. Yours is a gift that touches the soul of music lovers.

To know that this masterpiece was written by a 20 year old boy..Just crazy
Superbe !
Pure perfection.💝

Piano concerto from Chopin opus 11 - 3.4 views. Music vídeo from ariana grande 400 million views. What’s the problem with this planet?

Wow what a treasure hunt. I've seen other older renditions of Kissin of this masterpiece but this is more recent. Thank you for sharing!
この方。。。
I adore this concerto and Kissin's masterful rendition
Goooooooood . thank you
Exellent
This piece touched me from the first key:)

This rendition is second to N O N E. No one will top Kissin regarding Chopin 1.
Kissin must have been touched by God
Aren’t they all? All the amazing pianists, violinists? As well as the genius composers.
Like Chopin
He Is God, my mother was, too
I feel like I'm in heaven
It cannot be better than the rendition as Chopin no.1 because there are Y. Kissin and Zubin Metha.

MR KISSIN IS AN EXCELLENT, SUPER VIRTUOSO ARTIST....THAT;S ALL...!
