First virtual balcony we experienced was on the Navigator out of Galveston several years ago. It was one of the first Royal implemented. It was kind of a cool concept, but nothing that we couldn't live without. Also, it gave off a huge amount of heat in the room. Wouldn't pay extra for one. Think the concept works better than the actual implementation.
We’ll be on our 1st guaranteed cabin/virtual balcony Sept 30th. It was such a great deal! The lowest price of all the cabins. So it doesn’t really matter to us. So now we won’t be disappointed if we don’t like it. And now I know at night to just turn it off and pull the curtains. Thanks for the insight. Great tour.
inside cabin versus virtual inside cabin I can’t wait to see your review because I have two of these cabins booked this year I am hoping it gives me more light when I am in my cabin during the day and that I can see what’s going on in the outside world when I’m inside my inside cabin.
What a wonderful review of the room. You guys really do a stellar job everytime I see your room reviews. Thank you! Love the decor, especially the carpet!
Thank you for this video. We have been given them for our explorer cruise this year, we opted for a guarantee inside since she is a small ship so no long corridor walks for us. We didn't choose a virtual balcony and to be honest we are hoping we can switch them off as we like the darkness of the interior rooms for afternoon naps.
nice vlog. To bad the virtual balcony did not work we had one on the navigator and we love it. looks like a nice size room and a lot of storage so I would not be mad about having this room at all.
Hi @JJCruise Thank you for posting the video and giving the tour of the stateroom. We are planning to book the same stateroom for our future cruise. This room is exactly beside the elevator as we can see in the floor plan of the ship so we want to know if there were any problems in the stateroom due to that. Thank you
We can’t recall any issues in ours but we have had issues with elevators on connecting walls in the past on other ships. It’s honestly a crapshoot, but sometimes you just have to take it. 😅
So very professional, I subscribed in a second! I have mobility issues and am afraid of falling in the shower. Showing the bars in the shower sold me! Wishing you both the best and continued success!
I've been on 64 cruises, including the then newest ship in the world, i.e. RCL "Odyssey of the Seas" in Dec.'21, which had 'virtual balconies"! While I had an actual balcony, I went into a "virtual" one & was impressed that it helped eliminate the 'claustrophobic' feeling of a 'inside cabin'! Jordan should remember that you can't see much at night, anyway!
Thank you so much for this tour of your cabin. I will never purchase a virtual balcony. But having said that, I do appreciate very much, your positive information you have provided being in one for your cruise.
I solved the hanger problem, we pack with hangers, easy to unpack. We usually carry three pieces of luggage and one small carry on! I know I usually over pack but we drive to all Florida Ports. 😀
What!!! First of all I stayed in the ocean balcony all week and did not know my room had these functions. I didn't know about the outlet in the bathroom. I didn't realize I could remove the shower head. Next time I will get the wifi package so I can watch your video and see how my room works.
I stayed one on my first curise because I was worried feeling I'm in such a small room, on the first day I arrived the entire day 1 it was just clutching and I uploaded on my UA-cam it's still up on my channel I got worried we wasted our money but day 2 and 3 it works fine I can see when it was raining, when the sun was setting
Hi. Inside virtual balcony cabin VS inside central park view cabin. Of the two, which one give the best "feeling" ? Virtual where you can se outside but on big tv screen, or park view where you see a little real light? Thanks for your inputs .
We liked it- when it works properly, it really adds visual depth to the cabin. When it doesn't, it's kind of annoying- we just got off Anthem and ours was a little glitchy, so we just turned it off for the whole sailing. To boil it down, we can take it or leave it, we love interiors for the lower price and how completely dark it is with the lights off, they're the best for a sea day afternoon nap, but we don't actively seek out a VB.
I like the color scheme of the rooms. The doors opening to the outside is weird to me, but I guess it works. I probably would not stay in a virtual balcony. I would just spend the extra money and get a regular balcony. I enjoy the fresh air and the real water.
Thanks for the review. I've thought about getting a virtual balcony inside room on a 7 day (or more) cruise. It would really help with knowing what it was like outside & seeing a little sunshine. The fact that it didn't work most of your cruise is a problem. I wonder if they work better on the other 🚢 ships that have them or if it's because Wonder of the Sea is a new ship and they don't have all the kinks worked out...
No I want a real balcony I like to see and smell the ocean in the morning and before I go to bed And if I can’t sleep I like to set out there watch the world pass by
We really enjoyed our virtual balcony cabins - when we are paying to take the entire family on vacation interior cabins make it more affordable. Even when DH and I sail we chose the cabin by price for the itinerary we want , from interior to suite.
a balcony room is much safer. I was in a inside room in 1998. Carnival Ecstasy was on fire. If the fire had moved a few more feet down the hall we could have been trapped. with a balcony room you have a chance to escape another way. Also inside rooms are never really aired out. For health and safety always get a balcony room.
I will not personally watch another vlogger post on Wonder of the Seas. Too much coverage. We all know all the shows were not ready and things were not fully “baked”. I will miss your next VLOG on Wonder.
Would you stay in a Virtual Balcony Cabin? Why or why not? 👇
I would try any room really but would prefer a real balcony. Coffee on your balcony watching the waves, hard to give up!
I would not like a virtual balcony.
Nope, I like a really spacious balcony with loungers and tables
No. Point is to experience the ocean with an ocean balcony.
Tried the virtual balcony and it was pixelated the entire time. Everything else was sold out but wouldn’t do this again.
Jared, once again nice job on this tour. The Vanna White of Cruising. 👏 👏
Aww thank you!! I’ll wear that crown 👑 proudly!

Great point about the hangers, didn’t think about that!
We initially hated the hangers but loved the silence the rest of the trip 🥰

I really love a balcony so I can see the world go by, hear the waves and smell the sea air!
Our favorite parts of being at sea! :D
Thanks for doing this review! Really wondered about the virtual rooms.
Thank you for watching! 🤗

When it works, it is nice to get some daylight views! 🥳
Thank you for the thorough review! I just booked a virtual balcony on the Utopia.
Pull out the sink plug, there is a screw and nut underside. Just use this to adjust the length of the screw.
I love to cruise with a balcony I love the sound of the ocean
Nothing like the sound of the ocean waves! 🌊
They could supply a sound machine!
Great review guys!
Thank you!! 🤗❤️
What a wonderful review of the room. You guys really do a stellar job everytime I see your room reviews. Thank you! Love the decor, especially the carpet!
Thank you!! We are so glad you enjoy them! 🤗
Royal can maybe think of doing an artificial nightscape for the screen. That would work better I think
Great idea! We were thinking similarly - record something special for the night visuals

The size was wonderful! 🥳

Awesome video Jared! Very informative. 🤩
Thank you!! 🤗❤️🥳
Regardless of glitches with the feed, you have one huge asset in this room and that is daylight. I booked one for that reason. Paid $21 more …

This is very true! If it isn’t much of an upgrade cost, we’d do it again. But probably not for more than $20-40 more 😅
Thank you so much for this tour of your cabin. I will never purchase a virtual balcony. But having said that, I do appreciate very much, your positive information you have provided being in one for your cruise.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!! 🤗☺️
Thanks guys! Once again really informative. Honesty is fabulous.
Thanks for watching!! 🤗
I solved the hanger problem, we pack with hangers, easy to unpack. We usually carry three pieces of luggage and one small carry on! I know I usually over pack but we drive to all Florida Ports. 😀
Driving definitely helps!! 👏🏽

That’s what we are hear for 😉 Thanks for watching and commenting!! 🥳

The table moves 🤯
Right?! 😅
I love that the desk moves.
Your comment about the drain stopper was right on. I took my stopper out.
We did too 😅
Hi. Inside virtual balcony cabin VS inside central park view cabin. Of the two, which one give the best "feeling" ? Virtual where you can se outside but on big tv screen, or park view where you see a little real light? Thanks for your inputs .
We would say Central Park. ☺️
I always wanted to stay in a vitual balcony cabin! Thanks for sharing!

Good points! It does at depth… when it works 😅
Thanks guys! Always a pleasure to watch. The room reminds me of a balcony room on Symphony maybe a little bigger? Great video!
It’s truly a larger size inside stateroom than most! Thanks for watching! 🤗🥳
I thought you said virtual bathroom a couple of times. I can’t imagine that would be cool. ;)
Appreciate this
Happy to help!
Such a great video and excellent points made! I have always wondered about virtual balconies. Definitely don’t want to pay extra for it❤️
Thanks for watching! 🤗

We definitely prefer the real balcony experience too 🥳
I like the blue accent colors in the room and bathroom.
Us too!!
Thanks for such a great video
Thank you for watching!! 🤗
Marvelous stateroom review. Love the pros and cons bc your personal opinion helps with decision making while booking my personal experience. Thanks!!!
So happy to help!! 🤗 Thanks for watching! 🥳
No virtual balcony for us. Need a real balcony as my husband is claustrophobic
Completely understand that!
When i had the virtual balcony, i enjoyed it. But also the bed wasn't on that side since it's ceiling to floor. It was on Anthem.
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts/experience! 🤗
Thank you for this video🚢. Please could you share your suitcase brand/size?
We have Samsonite and Away 🧳
Video starts at 10:32
Thanks :D
I think a Virtual Balcony will be amazing. I still like to read or sleep on my balcony.
Yeah reading and sleeping on the balcony is nice! ☺️
Does the "Virtual Balcony" emit any type of heat? as if it appears to be regular, albeit large, LCD panel
Not that we recall. ☺️
Thanks for the review. I've thought about getting a virtual balcony inside room on a 7 day (or more) cruise. It would really help with knowing what it was like outside & seeing a little sunshine. We are thinking most of them work better too. For daytime usage - it only helps! The main concern is spending a lot extra on cost. ☺️
If I can’t have a real balcony, I’ll try for ocean view before a virtual balcony, or one of the interior-facing rooms on the big RCL ships.
Look at all those hangers!!! We never seem to get enough hangers.
We always ask for extra hangers 😉
Hey guys. Love the energy.
Thanks! And thanks for watching!! 🤗🥳
Great job Jared!
Thank you!! Can’t wait to do many more 🥳
Great stateroom review!
Thanks!! 🤗
I've really been curious about these rooms and if they are worth it. Thanks for doing this.
You are so welcome! We were curious too! 😉
Great informative video…personally … balcony is a must for me….
Thanks! We hear that all the time ourselves and we understand why - nothing like waking-up to the ocean breeze and sounds every day. ❤️
I’d stay in a virtual balcony if it cost the same as an interior, but I’m not paying extra for a second TV😛
I’ve been on a virtual balcony on the Ovation in 2016! Was nice and different but nothing compared to a real one! 🙈
Are you guys interested in sailing with Holland America?
We are! Just have yet to do it. ☺️
Starts at 10:41
No virtual balcony. Interior room with movie screen if it works. To claustrophobic
Thanks for your thoughts! 🤗
Great tour, not sure about a virtual
Thanks for watching!! 🤗
Thing about that cabin is that it's not that much less than a real balcony.
We Royal-up’d for $35 each from interior so not much for us but we know they can get pricey 😅
The cabin looks a tad claustrophobic, and definitely missing the fresh air form a real balcony.
Most definitely
Well the bad is really easy, it's not real😂😂😂
You should be compensated for your problem with the balcony
We were! They gave us a future cruise credit at the end of this cruise.
Virtual wouldn’t do it for me. Nothing like going out on the balcony and taking in the fresh sea air. Thanks for sharing.😎
Right?! We need a multi-dimension experience ☺️ Thanks for watching! 🤗
I am Wonder of the Seas out. All the vloggers have over done it. They mostly say no to this new ship.
Amen!
We have our final review coming up and we might being a little outside of the norm from the others 😉
No
I want a real balcony
I like to see and smell the ocean in the morning and before I go to bed
And if I can’t sleep I like to set out there watch the world pass by
Completely understand that ☺️

Hello everyone
Hey 👋🏽
a balcony room is much safer. I was in a inside room in 1998. Carnival Ecstasy was on fire. If the fire had moved a few more feet down the hall we could have been trapped. with a balcony room you have a chance to escape another way. Also inside rooms are never really aired out. For health and safety always get a balcony room.
😮😮😢😢
I’ve never been a huge fan of these.
We definitely weren’t lovin’ ours 😅
I much rather have a real balcony my mom would say it’s just a place to sleep your not in the room much
We completely understand that thought! 👍🏽
I will not personally watch another vlogger post on Wonder of the Seas. Too much coverage. We all know all the shows were not ready and things were not fully “baked”. I will miss your next VLOG on Wonder.
Thiz room seems like a waste.
