Very neat to see what changed and what didn't between them. There is something about those old screw bags and those yellowish screws that take me back and make me smile!!!
I always thought the vintage screws were "soft" because they seemed to be loose with the screwdriver. Then I bought a JIS screwdriver and made a huge difference.
@@VintageRcGarage right!?!? I had no idea until a few years ago that JIS was a thing. I thought the same, that they just used crappy screws! The right screw driver makes a world of difference when building!
Thats why i love the vintage more then the re-release... the presentation pack is far superior then the newest. Amazing video btw. I'd like to see more af these videos around... luckely i found yours, Thanks.
Nice work. Lots of work! Other differences include NovaFox internal wheel ribbing, different sized and hex vs slot-head front upright balls, simplified/shorter steering servo setup, ESC vs MSC (partly covered), main differential bevel gears are not interchangeable, and use E clip over Fox C clips for inner drive cup, along with the mentioned dog bones, and new silver roof sticker in lieu of having to paint the Fox roof silver.

Great video with a high level of detail. Good for anyone wanting a comprehensive comparison 👍🏼
Glad you liked it!

Small differences do make a difference. I plan on doing many more. The next one I think I will do is the XR311. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great comparison. You put a lot of work and knowledge into it💪👍👏. I'm missing the old blister packs and the black and blue manuals😉
You should be able to find the vintage manual fairly easily, the blister pack, not so much :)
I had the original fox when it came out. It was ok not the best r/c. Very rear heavy. Great video.
I never used the Fox as a kid. I had the Hornet and Bruiser.
I also had the boomarang. I throught was alot better than the fox.

Thanks for all the extras information!
I love my Novafox but it’s the worst for maintenance, that sealed chassis makes me cry whenever I need to change anything
I could not image running either as a basher. Having to take off the chassis top with something like 6 screws would be a huge pain.
I wish I could find a brand new the fox buggey would love to build it and own it
If you want a very similar build you can probably find a Novafox rerelease to build.
