The kyber crystal was for the Death Star. That's what powered the superlaset
While this season was airing, the character model for Rebellion Kallus was more commonly referred to as "Hot Kallus". 😂
If you didnt get it, that big kyber crystal was for the Death Star.
Emme, did you notice the reference to the Jedha system? This is why Saw ends up there in Rogue One: to follow up this lead. Thid is quite a pair of episodes for all sorts of links to Rogue One and A New Hope.
Wedge is actually a character from the OT. Fun fact - The actor who plays Wedge is Denis Lawson who is Ewan Mcgregor (Obi-Wan)'s uncle irl!
Saw is a great way to see the different ways Rebellion can go
Love the Sabine & Ezra Episodes with Chopper. Saw is on the Cusps of Finding out Something Huge but can't quite get ahead of the Empire. This was not Ground Breaking Galactic Consequences type of an Episode but it's why I Love These Rebels.
3:44 Kallus does look damn good in rebel attire.
I've got hard feelings about seeing Gerrera. He prioritizes the mission regardless of civ casualties.
And If it wasn't for him, tech would still be alive (still not over it 😢)
Hera truly is one of the greatest flight attendants of all time 😅😂
So, this arc, the previous Saw Gerrera two-parter, Attack of the Clones, and Rogue One all subtly tie together. Near the end of Attack of the Clones, we see a Geonosian engineer hand off a preliminary design for the Death Star to Count Dooku.
This leads into the S3 Saw story, where we learn that the Empire wiped out almost all the Geonosians, likely to prevent the Geonosians from telling anyone else about the Death Star. Saw hoped to get that information out of Klik-klak, but he never did.
Season 4 of Rebels takes place just a few months before Rogue One and A New Hope. In Rogue One, we see the Empire stealing kyber crystals from Jedha in order to build the Death Star, so that is definitely what this kyber crystal was used for too.
If Saw had been able to find out what the Empire was building, the Rebels could have destoyed the Death Star before its construction was finished, thus saving Alderaan and Jedha. Also, given that Saw was killed by the Death Star, I'm sure that his last thoughts were "I told you so"
All facts!!!!
I get that Saw's approach is extreme, but you have to remember, he really is on the side of the Rebel's. He saw what aggressive government can do for a long time, first losing his planet to the Seperatists, then having his sister killed in battle with them, then he saw the empire taking over and reining with terror across the galaxy. He wants freedom as much as Mon Mothma and the rest of the Rebels. His tactics are too much for some, but in his mind and in his words, it all "for the greater good."
Jeddah is the planet in Rogue One where the Empire is harvesting huge khyber crystals like this one to power the Death Star.
Kyber crystal was for Death Star and Jedha was planet from Rogue One film.
Jehda is the desert planet in rogue 1
It’s worth rewatching rogue one and the original trilogy after finishing rebels. You’ll appreciate so much such as seeing this base in rogue one and a new hope.
24:35 You have seen the original trilogy, and Rogue One, you have seen Jedda, you have seen the large weapon they are talking about, its named the Death Star.
the "huge weapon" is the death star
People, not everyone remembers every detail from the films/shows they’ve seen before. Especially if they’ve watched it only a time or two.
Thank you 😭 lol i try my best obviously but i’ve been consuming a LOT of star wars content in less than a year
Especially after seeing over 200 episodes of television
Saw is a radical and irritating character at times yet is harsh attitude of chasing the truth at all cost made him get results and information that the rebellion was far behind with. in this case Saw uncovered a team of prisoned scientists and engineers together with a massive Kyber crystal which was going to be used as a weapon while the rebellion and Mon Mothma didn't even know this kind of danger existed or such vital information at the times.
And Saw also challenges the current rebellion mentality with is own truth. The rebellion acted till now as a force which helps and unifies those who are hurt or oppose the empire and most of the time the rebellion is just responding to the Empire's action but not preventing them or facing the empire with a head on war. A crucial change of mentality the rebellion must experience to get to how we see the rebellion in the original trilogy. So Saw might be seen as bad yet he is a friend to the rebellion even he is the rude and honest friend no one wants to hear.
Keep up with the great reactions!
Everyone dealt with the empire in their own way.
Jedah. Kyber crystal. Come on Emme..put it together.
The "weapon"...the one that Galen Erso is building? ;)
Enjoyed your reaction, and don't take people too seriously that expect you to remember every detail of star wars. It's fun to see when you connect the dots (which I think you do plenty of), but that's totally not necessary for a fun reaction.
So Saw is a bit more ragged then when we last saw him ironically due to spending so much time on Geonosis and its somewhat toxic atmosphere
Jheda was were Cassian and Jyn went in Rogue One to find Saw.
Great reaction! Chopper slaping stormtroopers is always entertaining, lol
Jedha city is the one in Rogue One that got destroyed by the Death Star. The place where they were collecting other crystals to power the Death Star.
Sounds like you’re new to the term party. Party is commonly used as a group of people. Another way of saying a squad. It’s also used often in video games.
Based on the prisoners’ profession, they’re being sent to work on the Death Star.
I do question & disagree with Gererra to an extent but from a military standpoint I would agree that we needed that intel to know what weapons are being developed. Yes, it does matter what the Empire is building so the Rebels know what should be a priority. It would be unwise to not know because then how exactly would the Rebels be prepared for something like that? It’s the 1st ever built super weapon that no one in the galaxy has ever made which is a planet killer.
Think abt it. No imperial casualties & all we need is to blow up a planet without having to send & waste resources at all. Such as sending vehicles, soldiers, etc. Fear will keep the locals in line & wouldn’t dare cross the Empire with such weapon. Conquering a planet takes time & some have those shields just like you saw when Thrawn invaded Atollon. There a different types of shield. One of the best ones is a planetary ray shield which essentially covers the whole planet. But against the Death Star? No shield can protect such power.
To clarify, in our world, building weapons is meant to adapt to the enemy’s capabilities. To counter a specific type of threat such as gunships, fighters, bombers, armored vehicles, warships, etc. Are you fighting a conventional or unconventional force? Therefore, the strategy & tactics change or may need to be modified to counter the enemy’s new tech. For example, does your enemy have night vision goggles? If so, then IR laser sights/IR flashlights will be useless as your enemies will be able to see them & pinpoint your location cuz they have the same ability to do so.
Back in WWI, why do you think machine guns were made? Why are there Barbed Wires? Makes charging cavalry on horses an obsolete tactic. To slow/block enemies from advancing.
Why were tanks made in WWI? Scare & force enemies to retreat, making bullets impervious to its armor, fast advancement for gaining ground, provides cover for infantry, area of effect explosive shells that blows up a group of people/more than 1 person, dismember someone rendering them unable to fight back up, etc.
Why are bigger caliber bullets made? To kill someone faster in 1 or few shots rather than some dude charging at you after taking 10 or more small caliber bullets. That’s why the Revolver handguns were made.
You can’t win a battle if you don’t know what you’re up against. Knowing is half the battle regardless. If you don’t know what your enemy is capable of then you can’t win given that you’ve no understanding of your enemy.
Fight the Empire!
Thank you, Emme! 📛 #EmmeReacts #StarWars #StarWarsRebels
Saw's methods are questionable and he has the tendency to go way overboard as he did with the Geonosian but he is always on the frontlines. Mon Mothma continually looks for political and diplomatic resolutions to the Empire's tyranny where there are none.
17:52 that huge size kyber crystal also appeared in the clone wars season 7 lost episode when obi wan and anakin finding a jedi on utapau
yeah, i wish it was the first arc of season 7, there were great moments in that, ani and obi have some banter while on an important mission with grievous after them, but they decided the dumb sisters are a better story://
@@alexo_pog I guess they thought it was more relevant? Idk but I would certainly have preferred that arc
Spoiler
Until it blew up of course
Season 6 was the 'Lost Missions' season with the giant kyber crystal, it was one of the arcs in development when the Disney takeover happened.
@@alexo_pog also I want to see how Obi wan , anakin and Ashoka encounter Darth sidious in the Jedi temple in clone wars
She can now watch the Darth Maul Tribute video called "hatred" right? Want to hear more nokia phone jokes :D
2:52 Cotton Eye Joe
haha true, nice catch!
my exact thought
Sexy Callus in the house.
You haven't seen Rogue One?
She has, but she's seen a lot in a very short amount of time so it probably won't have all sunk in.
As for Jedha, once you watch rouge one, you’ll know what they’re talking about
She has seen Rogue One, just likely doesn't remember or connected the dots yet. It's a lot to absorb when you watch I all at once.
@@RobbHollen ooooooooh ok
You gotta rewatch rogue one after rebels !!
Emme, have you seen the original trilogy?
She has.
Pls react to these 3 songs in this order Big Mandolorian Iron, El Mando, and Tie Fighter in the Sky. Trust me you will not be disappointed. They are all season 1 so no spoilers are involved. I am sure you will love them. You should be able to do them all in a single video.
Jeda think rogue one I pretty sure you have watched it
I hope that they don’t meet Saw again.
