Hi Stella, thank you so much for your video! I made this soup for my husband and he loved it. My husband is from Ghana and my parents are from Surinam (South America) so I did not learn how to cook food from Ghana. I'am going to try more of your recipes! Greetings from the Netherlands
I am Puerto Rican/Cuban and iMy family and I love to try different recipes and my son found this recipe and I'm very excited to try it, hopefully I will do it justice. Thanks for sharing.
Gerard Kouame Akan people are spread all over Ghana & Ivory Coast. We are the same tribe, just different countries because of colonialism. Our love for each over is forever. Blessings from an Ivorian mama leaving in Montreal
I first had okra soup while in the Bahamas. It is prepared totally different, with different ingredients, and different color. No fish at all. That looks good too. The lady who used to make it has passed away and her kids did not take on making it. So sad.
Your mum is so beautiful it is so clear that she loves cooking for her family she emanates such peace from her eyes...Stella, you such a BIG foodie lol
We also we dat stove in Haiti I love Africa it's my home just dint get da chance to born and grow der we still have some of da culture in Haiti I'm proud to b African Haitian
This is over 2 years ago since you shot this but I'm loving it. Humble family you have. Nothing whatsoever wrong with that. God bless Mama Vida, Sister Priscilla and yourself of course. Home sweet home. We mustn't forget about our humble beginnings. Shame on those who shun their Motherland Ghana because they are no longer living there and are abroad. You're a Black, African and from one of the African state. White man will not see you as white, nor deals with you as a another human; he/she will always refer to you as Black or African. Be proud of your heritage and educate your brothers/sisters to be proud of what God has made them to be, individuals, independent and self discipline. Thank you Stella. Sorry, I do get upset when people you know are Ghanaians rubbish Ghana. Ghana is a peaceful country if only we can bring greed, bribery, stealing and corruption to zero degree, we can be one of the best countries in the world. We need the strong arm of the law and discipline in Ghana. Too much selfishness compounds greed and stealing. One person wants wealth all for himself and his family. Shalom.
You got your good looks from your mom! She is so beautiful God Bless her soul! In Tanzania we do not eat cow skin will try ask someone at the abattoir to get me some hope I can process it right!! Have tried this soup but not sure I have ever got it right back here in Tanzania cause I did not use all the ingredients. Had to improvise.
I could never eat that I hate okra !!!!!.....but I would love to eat some of your Mom's other dishes because I can tell she's an incredible cook and put a lot of love in it!
Stella my tough itching me of your food it just be as if I should come to your house and it eat I really love the way you and your Mon cook the food it's so delicious
As an a American & because I have 5 picky eaters for kids , it is a treasure to see cooking without using a box ! I have tried making one of the soups from Stella Zone & the meat pie
Looks amazing but I have to say the late Dr Sebi was right that 90% of African cuisine is not as healthy as it could be because it’s mostly fat along with ‘blood and starch.’ That said I’ll probably make a version of this because it still looks tasty. Thanks!
You have a point but the one thing about African food its more fresh with less chemicals/ processed . american food is more processed full of gmo/ dyes chemicals, pesticides.
Oh, I found this because I have Goat meat and Okra in the freezer, so I went to store and found box of instant FuFu, already knownut won't be the same, but it will have to do.. lol... Thanks for sharing your recipe also 😋👍😘👌
I really love your west African food Aha! Your mom looks sweet.... There's nothing better than mom's cooks at home. The more slimy the okro the better. The sliminess is good for nerves in the body. That little girl is pretty strong, you African girls r really strong to churn that banku. Marvelous girls.... And I had okro soup many times, it never gets boring. So good for tummy and nerves. But reduce the oil a bit
My Husband is from Liberia Africa, Monrovia, I love some of the Dishes that I learned from my husband 1-15-2018, I do not like the dry Fish. But I do like the Smoke Goat meat
