Def the gunplay is pretty solid... I love how the duelsense queefs in my hands while unloading my entire clip into foolies, def gives it a new level of immersion while still feeling repetitive in a comforting way
Yeah, gunplay is definitely the best part about the same. Handling and response is top notch.
Is it hitscan or are the bullet physics the same as far cry 5?

Any comment on the haptic feedback/adaptive triggers on the PS5's Dualsense?
Adaptive trigger is good when you fire the weapons but it's not so noticeable that it makes it worth getting the game for. I'll be honest, at times I forgot all about it. In regards to haptic feedback, there's hardly any there or that I could tell. Hope that helps.
Some reviewers actually said there was nothing new: now, you see your voice acted main character in the cut scenes, he/she makes jokes, comments, during game play, and sings along with the radio, you can put your gun away to remain unnoticed by law enforcement, and the story seems to move things forward more than other far cry games, which solved, for me, the problem of not knowing what to do next. From the beginning, the game does a great job to show you your place in this oppressive dictatorship, and immediately introduces you to a group of people you will be working with throughout the story, not just working on your own. You have to meet different factions in the revolution and help them get their region positioned to take out the bad guys... in mini story arcs. This was kind of true for FC5, but the story, here, around this is ramped way up. This game's story really seemed more present, and was better set up for a far cry game to explain why and what you were doing. This game out lines/maps back trails and back roads, a whole back system to travel off of the main roads, which is ment to remind you that you are part of a hidden revolution, and gives more options for when you re-visit parts of the map, making backtracking more interesting.You even have a mission where you go out for a night on the town with a buddy. It's true that the different under bosses weren't very interesting...but pretty much all of your allies are excellently well voce acted, and very interesting. Far cry has always made the first person aspect feel more immersive, but I think this game did a ton to connect you with the main character, and immerse you in the story, more than most first person games. I think it took things to a new level, way more than other franchises do from one game to the next..
I’d love to know is if the comparison made by some UA-camrs that this game is Just Cause with a Far Cry skin is accurate.

I love mindless fun! Lol, but I'm a bit stick on which version I am supposed to buy since I have a ps5. Do I have to get the $100 gold version to get the ps5 version, or do I get the $60 regular PS4/ps5 version. I don't understand which one I'm supposed to get to get the full benefits of the ps5.
The $60 version is perfectly fine. It'll give you an option to upgrade to PS5 version. $100 gold version is for all future DLC and stuff.

@@TheHippo Yes, it's a free upgrade. Just do a quick google search, it'll tell you exactly how to do it. Ubisoft actually recommends you play using PS5 version. PS4 version isn't all that great.

Good review, although if I was editing, I would have added silly music to the stabbing montage.
In regards to the cock fights, it is funny how games have normalised violence against humans and anything else stands out like a sore thumb.
It's like when I was playing The Order 1886. As I saw hundreds of heads explode. No reaction from me. A bloke wearing no pants in a cutscene? My brain is like - Wait...wait...hold the phone, is that guy naked?
I know, people worry and complain about the stupidest things. Sometimes I think that the people who make up these complaints don't even play video games even. Good call with adding music to the stabbing montage. I couldn't find one though and I was too lazy to see which ones were copyright free.

I can't really say, I've never played saints row haha. Think of it more as Just Cause but on tropical island.

I think you should've gone with Forbidden West to be honest. You would've gotten a game with better graphics and more exciting gameplay.

@@SuperJumpReviews took me a few days to even boot it up still on RE4 butI'm enjoying it, I did play new dawn around release date so I'm getting a familiar feeling with the RPG elements, I just hope it doesn't get like the division.
I played it on ps4 and now on ps5 and from what i've seen there are countless bugs on ps5 version (love the game tho but just saying)

the game's environments are *really* pretty...but man Far Cry games just aren't for me when it comes to gameplay.

well, i really just want the gameplay to be a bit more streamlined, if that makes sense. I'm not saying that the gunplay itself is bad or anything - in fact it's pretty damn good. But i feel like its open world for the sake of it a lot of the time and is constantly detouring me from the plot. It it was more streamlined and just had a a couple of side-quests here and there, then i would be more interested to keep playing.
And the biggest reason as to why it turns me off is because of the transition from intro to gameplay. Like, i remember in Far Cry 5, it had a very, VERY good intro, immediately hooked me in. But then after that the tone and atmosphere almost vanished and it was just run around and do countless missions. I guess it turns me off because what hooked me in, in the first place up and disappeared. And things i do in the game feel pretty meaningless, or something? Like what SuperJumpReviews said, "Do you like *stupid, Mindless* fun?".
