Taylor, since we're on the ROL era, Madonna just released a few hours ago the re-imagined Frozen music video Sickick Remix with Fireboy DML. It's on UA-cam. Hope you can make a reaction video for that. :)
People have laughed at me when I said it but I consider her to be one of the greatest ARTISTS in history. Take everything she’s done in her life…every song, every video, every movie (bad and good), the controversies she provoked, the ancient religion she breathed new life into, her philanthropy, her family, her businesses - her life is an incredible mural montage of moments that so many of us recognize and know and relate back to our own lives. Her life has been her greatest canvas.
Well Shakespeare was dismissed in his lifetime and only started getting appreciated 200 years later. Like many now admired artists. Madonna will be appreciated more in the future
I'm 57 and the only music I listen to at this point in my life is Madonna and The Beatles. To me they're the greatest of all time. After so many years Madonna and Beatles' music still surprise me. Their music is so versatile and there's no place for boringness!
I’ve been loving your Madonna Deep Dive series. She’s riding a wave of newfound popularity. Young people are discovering her music for the first time, and it’s amazing to see. It’s such a testament to her longevity and ICONicness. She will always be the Queen of Pop. 👑
That's because as somebody who was a teenager in the 1980s, there just is no other Madonna. No other queen of pop. There just is not. If you just go and check the videos other 'icons' like Whitney Houston and Kylie Minoque did in the 1980s/and particularly 1990s, you'll see it's not really in the same class at all. We can all talk about voice, but artistry... That's Madonna. Nobody can refute that.
@@samhartford8677 You know what she's always had more than anyone else that came after her: class and basically just good taste. You could never call Madonna "cheap", even when she was stripping and baring it all, for some reason, there was always an art component to it
I remember seeing this stunning video when I was 20 years old for the first time, and I'm 44 now. Where the hell does time go? I can relate to this song so much more now however than I ever could in 1998.
Same story here, though I was 19 when I first saw this video in a CD/Music store back in my home country, Colombia. I’m 44 now and still mesmerized by it.
I was a senior in high school when this video premiere on MTV and it was mesmerizing then! The end of the video is her sucking the moisture of the earth into her symbolizing the mythical character she is playing. The entire I can melt your heart so give yourself to me is more like, at least to me, is wanting to take the love and warmth she lost from you. Little do you know, afterwards, you will be broken and frozen like her.
I don’t know, this song is a masterpiece, i was 13 years and it was one of the first real music that i’ve heard, i watched mtv all day waiting for this video. A masterpiece
Love the dark gothic look she had here. She rarely has the dark hair, her natural hair color. And I loved this video and its themes, which I got were possibly reincarnation or her soul splitting into these other elements. It was definitely metaphysical and on a whole different level.
Her Chris Cunningham video collaboration happened when and after she watched, and heard about how people were reacting to the Aphex Twin music video "Come to Daddy" which Cunningham directed. She made such a great choice in asking him to direct her Frozen music video. Thee BEST.🖤
This beautiful captivating masterpiece still brings tears to my eyes after all these years. It just gets me. This video is art. I also love the simplicity of the video. The song is enough so the video didn't need to be complicated. She is a master and no one can take away or erase what she has created and done over the years. This woman is my heart. J
the ever amazing Jean Paul Gaultier custom made that epic outfit just for the video, the two of them have been best friends for decades and collaborators as well. 🖤
Frozen is my favorite Madonna’s song, absolutely beautiful. The video is amazing, like you said simple yet so mesmerizing. The whole vibe is so mystical and I love it. One of the tattoos means “to speak out loud” and it’s of Hindu origin. I believe that onyx in her necklace means “clutch” since she is singing “you hold the key”. Great reaction!
I think I saw somewhere that she was portrayinng the greek goddess Hecate in this video. After that the video took a whole new meaning for me, specially after researching what the said goddess is about.
I’ll never forget the visual when the beat drops for the first time. The birds emerge out of nowhere 🦅. 🙌🏼 . Next ROL live performance on Oprah. Then Power of Goodbye video PLEASE. 🙏🏼
Another Masterpiece! Hey man, I'm really grateful for your posts aborto Madonna, nowadays when some People try to forget her legacy in a world with shit music and shit videos. You catch the art because you have a big sensibility for art and you see what it is a good music and videos. I identify with you. You are discovering heaven like I did growing up with her music. Thaks for your videos. I"m following you...my best wishes...always to you! God bless you man!
FROZEN IS A SONG FROM THE RAY OF LIGHT ALBUM: THIS ALBUM HAS SOLD 23 MILLION PHYSICAL COPIES WORLDWIDE, MORE THAN 4 MILLION IN THE U.S.A. ONLY. .. REACTION TO THE VIDEO THE POWER OF GOODBYE !!!
I loved how Madonna incorporated her early modern dance training into the movements in this video, it was such a gorgeous homage to her dance idol Martha Graham. It really was a great full circle moment.
Madge has been my goddess since 84 👑 ❤️ and for many years/decades (damn I'm ancient)I would've said "Live to tell " or "Like a prayer "were my ultimate favourite songs/videos without question. I'm now 54 and for last decade creeping up in the background, almost haunting me to become my number one is FROZEN, truly her most ethereal beautiful song and video now my only number one. Awesome react great commentary and energy .
When you get to Music you need to watch the "What it Feels Like for a Girl" video...that's my #2 video of all time of hers (Frozen is #1)...it was another that was banned on MTV
Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. Veronica is her third name. During promotion interviews for this album, Madonna would mention tapping into Veronica Electronica. Hence the 3 Madonna's in the video. Already a gorgeous song, the video takes it to another level. Enchanting
I BECAME A FAN WITH THIS SONG! I was 16 and loved her but this in 1998 blew my mind, plus the single RAY OF LIGHT. One of the best pop eras in herstory.
About the end of the video, I always thought of her sucking the darkness out of that place and giving life/peace to it. Also saw a video of a guy explaining the symbolism of the song/video. It is very iteresting. Oh and her character is inspired of Debra Winger's character in the movie The Sheltering Sky by Bernardo Bertollucci.
Hey Taylor great reaction! During an interview on MTV in 1998 she said she was playing a “mystical creature in the desert” and it was shot in the Mojave desert. Chris Cunningham is the brilliant Director.
I was a junior in high school and became an instant fan when her first single, “Everybody,” was released back in 1982. Being in high school I discovered something about myself which was pretty taboo to discuss at the time. Yet following Madonna’s musical journey help me understand it’s okay to be who I am and pretty tell those who opposed, “Fuck You!“ Thanks for your journey through you discography. I’m glad to see someone appreciate her artistry and her underrated talent. Look forward to your continuing journey!
It's quite funny when an old song is sung with a new rhythm and then "THE DEAF" is excited to hear and discuss it this year! I'm not American, As a Malay boy I've been listening to madonna since I was in school back in 1990 (cassette/VHS) until now and have never been surprised by what she as a queen can do until now!...
Fun fact: Madonna was inspiration for this video was the original version the ring movie ringu and it also inspired the video from the same album and last single from it “ nothing really matters”
You were right in your album reaction ! She is in the fucking Mojave Desert and messing with some LSD starting this emotional journey… this video is top tier 🖤
Madonna opening the 90s with the most iconic greatest hits album of all time: The Immaculate Colection. Than closing the 90s with one of the greatest albums of all time: Ray Of Light That's it
This song has a beautiful haunting melody. The music video features Madonna as a witch-like who shapeshifts into a flock of birds and a black dog. It received an MTV Video Music Award for "Best Special Effects" in 1998.
If you watch the "Stranded" videos from AXS channel, a lot of musicians list the "Ray of Light" as one of the albums they'd want on a stranded island. Great album.

Madonna in a interview stated she was portraying the embodiment of human angst in physical form...
People have laughed at me when I said it but I consider her to be one of the greatest ARTISTS in history. I think she could be the greatest, such a creative force, she changed culture and her influence is everywhere 🙌
She is the Greatest Artist in History! I have no doubts about It!

That IS what makes a SUPERSTAR.
"You only see what your eyes want to see." Yes, she's a mesmerising and betwitching shapeshifter. I love the cinematic quality of both video and song.
Yes
Well she definitely is
For me, it is the best video of Madonna's entire career. Timeless masterpiece. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN OF POP ! .
I agree with Kanye West when he stated that Madonna is the greatest visual artist of all time
I’ve been loving your Madonna Deep Dive series. She’s riding a wave of newfound popularity. Young people are discovering her music for the first time, and it’s amazing to see. It’s such a testament to her longevity and ICONicness. She will always be the Queen of Pop. 👑

yes it was awesome growing up with her
So true. Was out this weekend and vogue and like a prayer were both played.
The frozen remix she just dropped is LIT
This is one of Madonna's masterpiece. One of most beautiful videos ever made. Cinematography, visually, directing. Everything is perfect!
I was 11 and now I'm 35 can't believe how quickly time is flying..
Her Earth mother Gothdonna is one of best reinventions in pop history.
The instrumentation of this song still blows my mind everytime I hear the song.
The fucking Queen of Pop. Her artistry is beyond anybody's else! Every pop star out there since the 80's, has been influenced by the one and only!
The photographer shot it and then played it backwards. that’s why it looks mystical
I was a senior in high school when this video premiere on MTV and it was mesmerizing then! The end of the video is her sucking the moisture of the earth into her symbolizing the mythical character she is playing. 5:08 no one talks about this transition when they react to the video 😩
Omg I didn't notice that too, it's so subtle. Also the transition at 4:44 is wow
I don’t know, this song is a masterpiece, i was 13 years and it was one of the first real music that i’ve heard, i watched mtv all day waiting for this video. A masterpiece
A timeless piece of art. Will still be fresh and amazing in 100 years
Love the dark gothic look she had here. She rarely has the dark hair, her natural hair color. And I loved this video and its themes, which I got were possibly reincarnation or her soul splitting into these other elements. It was definitely metaphysical and on a whole different level.
The photography they ran it in reverse that’s why that looks so awesome with her costume
She made this video in the desert in California
And intentionly made it in blue mode like the name of the song "frozen"
This song is an actual masterpiece! And she wrote it too! I'm speechless
At the time, she got the song played on all sorts of radios, it was a super ballad.
I don’t think she’s ever been better than that moment. She’s reached it multiple times but not better.
This song, video, and era was a great comeback for her. It was all so magical.
Her best comeback and greatest album
This is by far my favorite Madonna's song and video.
Her Chris Cunningham video collaboration happened when and after she watched, and heard about how people were reacting to the Aphex Twin music video "Come to Daddy" which Cunningham directed.
She made such a great choice in asking
him to direct her Frozen music video.
Thee BEST.🖤
When I saw the video premiere in 1998 my mouth was just wide open and the song is just beautiful to this day will never forget this moment!
one of my favorite Madonna Eras. Innovative, Mystical, Spiritual. William Orbit & M helped transformed her with a new sound in 1998…
I remember the first time I saw this video...I was blown away.. I was 22 when this song came out
This beautiful captivating masterpiece still brings tears to my eyes after all these years. It just gets me. This video is art. I also love the simplicity of the video. The song is enough so the video didn't need to be complicated. She is a master and no one can take away or erase what she has created and done over the years. This woman is my heart. J
It never ceases to amaze me that people think his comments are truly genuine, like, AS IF HE DIDN'T RESEARCH the videos and music beforehand.
Madonna is magical ❤️💖❤️💖❤️💖❤️
Love the way that they filmed this video for a song called "frozen" in a desert.
El álbum "Ray of Light" merece que veas por lo menos 2 vídeos más y alguna presentación en vivo, por ejemplo, en el show de Oprah, Madonna arrasó!
O NRM en los Grammys
the ever amazing Jean Paul Gaultier custom made that epic outfit just for the video, the two of them have been best friends for decades and collaborators as well. 🖤
“Ray of Light” is an after on Madonna’s career, new fans, the curve it’s just starting way up!! The upcoming 3 albums are a reflect of that 😭😱
the subtle morphing of the cloth and madonna's face is so mesmerizing. i think i've watched this video a hundred times. haha
Frozen is my favorite Madonna’s song, absolutely beautiful. The video is amazing, like you said simple yet so mesmerizing. The whole vibe is so mystical and I love it. The entire Ray of Light era is magnificent, her best work, all videos are amazing and goth Madonna is may favorite
Ray of Light was my first madonna album. I would listen to it on loop daily. After CoaD is my favorite Madonna album.
I used to watch this video when I was a kid and think she looked so much like my mum (she really did/does) !! it was always so comforting
I hope you liked the “Nothing Really Matters” video…it’s so interesting. This video is art.
Yes, cool that you loved the shapeshifting aspects. The visuals of her are like a Rorshach test, "you only see what your eyes want to see"
This song made me a stan of hers
Still to the one my favourite music video ever. It's so cool. And complements the song, not there to burden it.
I’ll never forget the visual when the beat drops for the first time. The birds emerge out of nowhere 🦅. 🙌🏼 . Next ROL live performance on Oprah. Then Power of Goodbye video PLEASE. 🙏🏼

This MV and song stunned our household. M was on another level with the ROL project.
I can't explain how much I love "Ray of Light". The title track, Nothing Really Matters and Frozen are Top 10 best songs of her.
Stunning video, Stunning song...she is the ultimate visual artist 🙌
After this Video you have to do one other created from Chris Cunningham for Björk- All is full of love! Its also AMAIZING!
This song is an ageless masterpiece

Greetings from Athens Greece! ❤
Totally enjoyed your reaction! What a masterful song and video!
The one word to describe it is ethereal. You’re welcome. 😁
The inspiration was Hecate.
Best music cinematography ever. Her voice was also clear, crisp and on point..fierce

My fave Madonna video and one of my favorite tracks.
You NEED to react to the Confessions on a dance floor live album. It's a must. Can't describe it otherwise.
Really an ICON ..
I think this is the best song she's ever done a masterpiece and beautiful imagery

Great video about Frozen! Congrats! Even with all the darkness of the video, this is song is about love… about surrendering to love…
Can’t wait when you get a whiplash of how the next album after this (music) is another departure reinvention.
But still the amazing edm sound but diff! 1998-2004 Madonna >
