Hi Kevin. This is a fav spot. Camping in non hookups is $20 but in rv sites w electric is additional $10. If u buy Nevada state all access pass @ $200 free camp & entrance fee. The $10 electric still applies. Have camped there numerous times. Last time about 3 weeks ago. Key is getting there early. Another cg just up the road is arch, fantastic but no hookups. Have had desert bighorns right outside my campsite. There is free camping not too far towards Overton. Not poverty flats but before the big curve in the road. Nevada is awesome & I have already paid off that pass. Let me know if u want secret places in Nevada
Us older people and our stories.... there was a time we would drive to the Valley of Fire in our jeep just to have a camp fire and look at the stars. We were the only ones there. No camp sites, no stairs to the lithographs. Just us. Things have sure changed. Around September-October the tarantulas migrate, and they would be there by the hundreds of thousands. It was a sight to see! I would never let my husband stop the jeep. lol! Thanks for the memory. Hugs....
an interesting trip is too go on the north side of Grand Canyon, thru Mount Zion National park, and that comes out thru the valley of fire, if I remember correctly. I traveled it about 46 years ago. Very interesting trip.
Thank you so much. My mom SARAH 85 years...who is recovering from heart failure loves your videos. We all love your videos . You mean a great deal to our family . Saturday night and enjoying your show. Who could’ve ask for more. Peace and love from the Wright Family.
I showed my wife this video she said I wanna go. I said lets go! I can't I have to work Monday.. being retired sucks! I'm still working ! Safe travels Kevin!
My hubby and I used to go to the Valley of Fire a couple times a year. In the Spring, if it rained, we'd head there for all the flowers. They are beautiful! Great video Kevin and the Woof pack.💙💜
I lived in Overton in 1963 and we would go to the Valley of Fire , Rodgers springs and Echo bay all the time,The rocks are the same but we would see maybe 2-3 cars there all day at the time. and free camping. Not the tourist site it is today. WOW has things and times changed.
Thanks for hoofing it up 3 flights of stairs to show us the petroglyphs! Even if I ever made it to the location, the stairs would have been a hindrance to my seeing them. THANK YOU!!!
Red Rocks! Red Rocks! Valley of Fire was great! Thanks for taking us along PS MaiMai was maybe jealous that Mable was rockin' that long hair! AND driving! lol
There are many great hikes a Petroglyphs. Taking the walk to Mouse's Tank is extremely interesting. We often took the Boy Scouts there when we lived in Las Vegas.
Ok Kevin its Pete from "Starboard Bow" you past Tucker while driving by the red mountains. It's a spitting image. I'll send you the picture or look at your video while talking about the veggies you ate.
Always enjoy your cooking episodes. I do believe you got a little "heavy handed" with the olive oil and "paid for it later". Hope you feeling better. Loved the cap.
Or it could be mixing olive oil and butter, may be? Despite the benefits of olive oil that's been touted for decades, I've never been a fan. I, however, eats *lots* of butter, *REAL* butter, my entire life, even during the "margarine is better" era.
Valley of Fire was awesome. Maybe the seasoning you put on kabobs upset you. Glad all the yorkies got to go today. Everyone had fun. Travel safe and stay safem
Hi Kevin. Your videos are so precious because of your natural charisma. You’re doing what so many of us are just dreaming about. Keep up the great work!
This video is so incredible. I never knew about this area of Nevada or the geography of Valley of Fire. WOW!! It is beyond amazing. The petroglyphs brought tears to my eyes. Seriously. Thank you Kevin for sharing this.
Thanks for the ridealong...look forward to these...I miss my rides with my horse through the Joshua Tree National Monument outside Palm Springs...The desert has so much hidden beauty when you get off the beaten track. Kiss those precious fur babies..💕
Wow Kevin, loved this video, loved meeting Mabel, loved seeing the babies, sorry about your tummy, love your new hat, seeing the rocks was really interesting, thanks for showing us the beauty of this country.
We are Boondocking between Overton and Valley Of Fire. Beautiful area. Leaving Monday for Utah, hopefully it warms up around Zion. Travel safe Kevin...
Looking out at the view is different from the passenger seat, either way, it is a most unique landscape, enjoy !! The custom embroidered cap is a great gift, 'just sayin' '
I love The Valley Of Fire! I want to go back and see more. I only got to drive through I didn't get to look at all of the cool stuff. My Mom lived in Pahrump for a few years so I got to see some places around there. There's so many neat things to do and see who has time for Vagas? I get a tummy ache from that kind of food too. I just don't eat it anymore. It sure tastes good though. I am a really big meat eater now. I feel much better now that I don't eat tons of veggies. Nice video. I guess your friend is really shy. Tell him/her thanks for hanging out with us and driving. It made for a vary nice video. :-)
That hat is so appropriate, love it. It must fun discovering a new and very interesting place despite having stayed in the area a number of times. Definitely gotta stay there it's incredible.
Thanks again today Kevin for another Great video really enjoyed the ride along beautiful scenery..Oh yeah you’re lucky to be out there here in Georgia it’s the worst pollen season yet 😷👍
Was up there and enjoyed the drive you are on, parked somewhere and hiked a little. I think it is so pretty where you are. I would do more cooking in cast iron but I can't lift them!!!!
Love petroglyphs. You f veggie special in the skillet gave me heartburn just looking at it....tho it looked mighty tAsty. Thx for taking me along Kevin.
Hey Kevin! Thanks for the great tour and info! So much to see in that area. I plan to spend 4-6 weeks the fall in Oct and Nov exploring Southern Utah and N Arizona. Glad to know more about both the campgrounds you showed. I would be glad to drive you and your sweet pups around anytime. Have a crew cab Dodge Ram 4x4 so plenty of room. Just give me a holler!
Seeing all those Yorkies makes me wish I HAD sent the picture I made for you. I do respect that your picture wall is personal, though. Nice that you got to be the passenger today. Love to all. ❤️🇨🇦
Love the hat Yup it's nice being a driver and get to be a passenger so you can really look around LOL Great video Kevin Sure is beautiful out there Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video Kevin. Father YHVH's creation is definitely a beautiful thing to behold. If your friend has a YT channel, I think I might know who it is, lol. Y'all take care and YHVH bless brother.
This was a fabulous place to visit. I would love to go there and see all the rock formations. Thank you for taking us along and showing us these new experiences.
Campervan Kevin I’m pretty sure the Valley of Fire is where a bit of the television series Breaking Bad was filmed. Beautiful place for sure. There is a kit you can buy for a Slingshot where you can put in a Chevrolet LS Motor in it. I’ll bet those Slingshots fly.
I stayed at Valley of Fire, NV. The sign always says full. It's first come first served. If you get there in the morning, you should get a no-power site.
" Who new ? " . People who own a map . Just ribbing you. Glad you found it and shared it . Quite a busy place. We took our daughter for her Spring break from college 2 years ago and wanted to stay in the campground but no luck . We were heading to Zion so went North towards Overton and stayed on the Mesa above town . Some call it Poverty Flats but not sure the real name . Beautiful views and free BLM camping . Thanks again . Happy Trails .
Beautiful vid, Kevin. I love it. If you are ever in the neighborhood, there is a truly amazing trip from Spanish Fork, Utah, southeast through the mountains that truly boggled my mind. I don't recall the highway # but there's only one and it goes all the way down to I-70 near Grand Junction. I'm sure it's easier and safer to drive southeast, as I did, since you'll have the rocks at your right and the incredible view to film on your left. It's one of the most incredible places I've ever seen and I hope to see it again.

Amazing , I wonder how the natives were able to get that high up on the rocks to make those drawings. We will never know.

Thank you so much. My mom SARAH 85 years...who is recovering from heart failure loves your videos. We

Now that the 3 children are okay, don't forget about yourself. Your children need you. Love you all. Stay safe.
All that natural beauty and you still can't get away from the sounds of motorcycles and generators. What a shame.
Love the hat. Ask her if you can sell them on your site. And add your CVK signature. They'll go fast. Hugs
Good idea! :-D
My hubby and I used to go to the Valley of Fire a couple times a year. In the Spring, if it rained, we'd head there for all the flowers. They are beautiful! Great video Kevin and the Woof pack.💙💜

When we crossed Valley of Fire we stopped to watch a tarantula cross the road! We had never seen one up so close. It truly is a beautiful place.

Charlotte Herring That’s what I was thinking also.
Thought that looked a little deep fried...ah he will work it off walkin those big dogs.
Or it could be mixing olive oil and butter, may be?
Despite the benefits of olive oil that's been touted for decades, I've never been a fan. I, however, eats *lots* of butter, *REAL* butter, my entire life, even during the "margarine is better" era.
Sharing this one for sure. I have always wanted to visit Valley of Fire, and plan to do so on my next Vegas trip. Thanks for taking us along!!!
That’s my kind of burrito!! Hat great! The scenery was gorgeous!! Love Mabel! Always kisses to the Woof Pack!! 🥰🥰🥰
Valley of Fire was awesome. Maybe the seasoning you put on kabobs upset you. Glad all the yorkies got to go today. Everyone had fun. Travel safe and stay safem
It would be interesting to see a theory drawing of the rock, to be able to make the drawings. Flat, pushed and rolled? Quite interesting 😊
I stopped eating bread & pasta for a couple years. I then realized I hadn't lost any weight, so I started eating them again. I've lost 8 lbs. 😁
We need "smell-a-Vision"! Don't we!! nice vlog.
Even at $20 it is worth it to pay for free days to. 🙂
Hi Kevin. Your videos are so precious because of your natural charisma. You’re doing what so many of us are just dreaming about. Keep up the great work!
Shiska-Robert is the proper name for Shishka-Bob

Did you go to Coronado High in the 70's ? I use to live on Sunflower lane
Over by the old Kmart off Fillmore Street

Right idea on cutting back on meat. Next time try steaming the veggies. Enjoyed the video.
Walmart has a cast iron silicone handle
joyce pollitt walmart cast all from china, lot of other metals mixed in, try lodge made in usa
Ok it’s a pot holder handle, but I buy my lodge from Walmart camping area.
This handle stays on does not melt or get hot. 5$ I think.
