Just subbed. Enjoying seeing older guys like me, go back to being a kid again. All we had were out imaginations and Metal toys back then "No Plastic" 8f they were plastic they were solid heavy plastic toys for sure. Thanks for the Memories. 🤗
I only stumbled across the JoyToy stuff by chance. I had no idea these exsisted. I love the detail and that you can put the pilots into the cockpits. I just was playing Titanfall 2 so this has got me hooked.
@@AwesomeActionToys I like how you don't have to spend hours getting everything on lol plus, it's a looker! The paint apps look great in the vid and the pilot looks like mostly brand new armour parts!
Thank you for the excellent review. I preordered mine once I saw the switch from soft goods to actual installed armor. Seeing the side by side comparison of the fear Mech I am confident I made the right choice. I am looking forward it’s arrival. Likewise I placed my order for the forthcoming heavy fire power Mech that follows this one. I look forward to your review of that one as well.
I like this one a lot. I only have the Steel Bone "Grey" 1/25 scale from the "Series Source" Collection. This one is Double the Price at $159.99 + Tax Coming out to about $174+ here in United States. Is that about right for it's price? Can it be found cheaper elsewhere? Or is that a fair price? I usually don't play with them, just set them up and pose them for a little collection. Seems after 50 some of us want to play with toys again 🤗 I remember how much I used my Imagination as a kid with GI Joes figures and Matchbox Cars and a few other toys, these toys take me way back. Thanks for a great review. 👍
This is a bigger scale than 1:25, so it'll be more expensive. The price seems about right. If you use the link in the video description, you'll get a 10% discount (applied at checkout). I'm not sure how taxation works for online items bought for the US though. Come on, you must play with your toys a little..... ;)
Really enjoying your joy toy content! I’ve probably watched 30 videos of yours in the past 24-48 hrs haha. Have you ever thought about doing like a 10 ten list of 1/18 mechs or 1/18 figures from them?
@@AwesomeActionToys either there no ratchet joint in there, aka they forgot, or it broken, because just fell down, totally smooth, I disappointed and put it in the box again, anyway nice review as always!
@@KaitoKaze Where did you get it? Did you reach out to the store/seller? I've had issues in past with figures and the stores I've dealt with (ShowZ, GianToy, HLJ, BBTS, A3U etc) have after sales support. Most of the time they are able to get the replacement part for you to fix yourself.
NIce review. Mine is still in transit and glad this will still work with 1/6 scale. This will pair nicely with the Fear II and IV. Got long range sniper support with IV, mid range assault with II and melee combat with the XingTian. XD Just wish the blades were retractable. That would have been awesome... oh well, still nice overall. Also have Zeus on PO. Finally able to army build a 1/6 robotic squad. LOL And seeing that stripped down Fear II just made me chuckle so hard. Big massive chest with scrawny arms/legs. LOL
Ah - I worked out why you were having issues with getting the mecha to hold the rifle: that's because it's *not* actually a rifle... it's a mini-gun. It seemed awkward because you had the mecha holding it upside down, that grip at the back isn't supposed to be on the bottom, it's meant to be on the top (and the front grip flipped the other way around, it's why it was sticking up so far from the connection point). As for "holstering" the pistols, that looks like a mistaken placement of the arrows in the instructions: JoyToy has a photo of the pistols connected not to the wrists - which you've noted correctly they cannot do - but to the two silver "spurs" at the hips (which if you think about it, makes more sense anyways for a place to holster pistols).
D'OH! The mini gun was obvious. The pistols attaching to the house is not easy, (I did try off camera when making the review, JoyToy need to rethink some they attachment methods), but makes perfect sense.
I used to be big fans of the joy toy mechs. But the last 2 I got sucked so I think I’m done with them :-( they seem to be getting less and less articulated
This one's pretty good, it fits security have bicep, thigh, and able swivel articulation (I discover them towards the end of the video, see video description for timestamps - mecha articulation 3)

Thanks, love the fact that now I'm old enough to afford Toys, i still wanna play with them!

They are great, welcome to the JoyToy fan club
@@AwesomeActionToys ..aaand have made my first JoyToy perchace. Im so excited :P
Awesome
Oh dear, I might have to buy this...
It's not without its issues, but it's great forward progress from the Fear Mechas

Thank you so much for this review. Very helpful. I was on the fence until I saw this.
Glad it helped
Thank you. Very interesting model, but I will eait for "Zeus".
Zeus does look good
Can't wait to get mine. It's arriving with my Reivers.
That's gonna be a happy day!!!
Another awesome video 👍 That mech is huge. You got some collection of JoyToy 👍
too many!

In boxes!

It's s great piece, and there's non of the frustration of setting up like with the Fear Mechas
Paint job looks lacking in comparison to the other FEAR models tbh. Will you get the "Zeus Mecha Heavy Firepower 1:18 Model " as well ?
I hope to get them

If you have (or know someone with) a 3d printer, you could probably print more of those attachment peg connector things.
It would need to be very strong, they go under a lot of stress

It does have bicep articulation but it's really stiff there are also pivot joints in the feet. Also very stiff.

Did you watch the video? This looks like the most articulated mech they have made. Unlike the fear mech everything is ratcheted.
