I will ALWAYS LOVE this beautiful show. The memories of watching with my beloved Mom 💖💔🌹 I'm 67 years old now and still remember the first time it was on PBS, Thank you for filming it. 💖
O my, this brought back so many memories from years ago when I was raising my children. We had a family tradition of watching Anne of Green Gables every year on TV. And we always insisted that the little girl across the street from us join us in watching the show. We loved that show. Here it is, over 30 years later. My children are grown & I have 5 (plus 2 steps) grandchildren. I'll never forget this wonderful show.
Nothing can beat this series of movies, nor Road to Avonlea. I could be content watching Sullivan's productions of any of Maud's writtings for the rest of my life. I only wish that the set had never been destroyed. More of L.M.M.'s books could have been brought to life.
I loved this series so much I bought it on DVD. Seeing this video makes me want to watch them all over again. Side Note: I LOVED Gilbert. R.I.P. Jonathan Crombie
I just found out this in September of last year through sister when I went and visited them in Minnesota!! We watched one or two every night while I was there!! I ordered avonlea and all three movies green gables !! I watched avonlea three times !!
Any attempt to explain why the Sullivan version Anne of Green Gables is so well loved needs to include Hagood Hardy’s brilliant score. I could more easily imagine the first two installments with different actors and actresses than I could a different score.
My favourite TV series. Many good memories of Cheyenne and I watching when she was a little girl. Always nice to revisit Green Gables as the world gets more and more messed up.🙏🏻😂
What was the part with Anne talking about being Anne of Green Gables rather than Anne of nowhere (with a different actress) from? I don't remember seeing it before.

I was still in HS. Have you seen the Netflix series, I have not.
@@cocoaorange1 No, don't have Netflix. ✨
You ARE the best interpreter of Anne! The others have tried, but have fallen short.
It is SO BEAUTIFUL
and YES!
IT IS a CLASSIC!

Gentle, calm and romantic programming.
Masterpiece.
This movie made my sister and I so happy!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This series would have made LM Montgomery proud. So called Anne With An E would make her turn in her grave. No apologies for this idea
