I know it's probably a joke, but calling him a 'regular guy' in Japan seriously undermines the amount of effort this man puts in to get to this level of skill. The amount of hours put into playing the game, being a composer and all (which I know for a fact isn't an easy job). Perhaps it's because arcades are more common in Japan and much more 'youngsters' there spends a lot of time playing arcade games, but I can bet not just any random guy in Japan can play this game with that level of skill unless they put as much effort in training their skills. Props to the man for being able to play this well, I really love this game and I really respect him for his skills.

Lol here in the states the last rhythm style game i remember seeing was the arcade version of guitar hero 3 and that was taken out a few years ago. Most arcade machines are sport themed (basketball, airhockey, soccer), luck based or shooters (zombie or war times.) U never see a rhythm game unless u go to a specialty arcade place which is hard to come by as well.

Most people here are English or American, we don't have these in our countries
Lol here in the states the last rhythm style game i remember seeing was the arcade version of guitar hero 3 and that was taken out a few years ago. Most arcade machines are sport themed (basketball, airhockey, soccer), luck based or shooters (zombie or war times.) U never see a rhythm game unless u go to a specialty arcade place which is hard to come by as well.
