Wolfgang, once again... a great video from you. Thanks a lot and keep it up. You have a great approach in your videos, we see that your are doing as you are explaining, very didactic. :)
Thank you for the video. What would be the best way to design a bicycle frame that does not have circular tubing? Ex: Carbon fiber bicycle frame. it will have oval/rounded square and usually tapered tubing. And the joints will be integrated much better.
Very nice video! I like how yo do everything step by step even if it takes time. We learn a lot like that! Do you think you could do a full bike tutorial with creating parts and joining them together? It would be awesome! Thank you
Thanks for your praise. I will consider it, but my time is very limited, I´m usually very busy with paid trainings. Therefore I prefer shorter videos/smaller projects.
Hi Wolfgang walden, when i started drawing the lines from the second step after the sketch one i could not see the geometric set on my feature tree. In order to have the it should i start the sketch enabling "Geometric set" or is there any other procedure to enable it ? please answer
If you draw a "wireframe" line or curve usally a geometrical set will be created automatically. Maybe you have enabled "hybrid design" - you should not do that.
Only if your company wants you to do so. It allows a different structuring of your modell. I.e. you can put a body into a geometrical set. I usually do not enable it.

You could do the sweeps with different profiles as well. The sweeps in catia allow you to control it in addition with a lawcurve!
This video was very helpful to me, thanks!
You´re welcome

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training I completely understand. Thanks for the answer and I hope you will find some time! Great work
Great videos thanks,
I have a question, where do i find the surfaces flap ?
Hi, "surfaces flap" ??? What do mean by "flap"?
surface commands in 11:00
i don't have they
You have to switch to "generative shape design" not to "wireframe and surface design", maybe you don´t have the licence for "generative shape design"?
I was at "part design" kk
It work now thank you
You´re welcome.

If I had enabled the geometric set while creating the part or inserted it, the sketch is not showing up.
Yes Sir, I have enabled Hybrid design. Sorry to have not checked before replying. I would be pleased to know when a hybrid design is to be enabled?
The sketch is still not showing up while trying to draw the lines even if i had disabled the hybrid design

at 22.40 where u made bottom bracket hole, you dont have those frame tubes sticking inside it anymore. How can i get rid of them?
If you make a hole - it will be removed anyway. So where is the problem?
Now i realized why it didnt work. I didn't hide the "surface" geometrical set.
A "classic" ;)
How do i get hollow tubes on each part of tubes.? Because i want to get a lighter frames
You could use "shell" or just "thicken" the surfaces.
can you do a construction table with a interactionele of a human connection that means interactieve with all size of catia manikin
Interesting idea - I haven´t used this workbench yet - I will consider it.
Sir intially we should go for the part design
Feel free to do so ;)
Sir how ti remove the extra parts which are found in tube
Hi, I would advise you to go my website and do all the exercises in the suggested order.
I've saw sketch analysis but its showing open curves
If you use the sketch analysis it shows you where the problem is, just close the gaps or delete the culprits.

How to draw dropouts?
What would be a dropout? I suppose you should use the trim-tool with which you can close gaps / lenghten elements.
Iam asking cycle drop outs.
