I dream of being in a choir like this, Paul Mealor writes the most rich and indulgent choral lines I have ever heard. So unique, the man is a genius. Ubi Caritas is perfection.

She Walks in Beauty by Lord Byron She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellow'd to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less Had half impair'd the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling-place. And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent !

Me too ... I absolutely adore this choir.
We are seekers of beauty. These voices and musical scores are yet another find in this quest.
Heaven on earth. A true genius.

The basses literally meld throughout the choir... and that LOW C THO. Especially with the acoustics it just melts
That blend is unbelievable.
The acoustics are amazing! ❤❤❤❤
Glad i heard this song from the radio
Sheer beauty, sheer magic, sheer delight!
perfect harmony
This is very similar to Eric Whitacre's style. Love it.
She Walks in Beauty
by Lord Byron
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent !
Thank you.
Brilliant!
This song has a very similar progression to the one in whitacre’s “ I thank you god for most this amazing day “ both very good pieces.
Pure music.
wonderful, amazing
So beautiful...
Just found out Mr. Paul's work and I'm totally shock why he isn't in the same league of fame as that of rutter, lauridson etc.
or Whitacre
Cause he is in his own league
Je trouve que c'est la meilleure version sur UA-cam. Dommage le gars qui tousse au début :-)
shame about the cough at the beginning :P
Glee brought me here.
Check out how I set Lord Byron's poem to music!
