wrong key for her voice
It sounds...bad... not like she's bad but something's off. I can't put my finger on it like it's compressed, the recording sounds different than she normally does.
At this moment I also did a comment like this. That cover wasn't performance on the same level like the other covers, tuned down or wrong key for her voice. Didn't expect that, but thats life and I think the next covers will be on the same great level again like the others before.
@@jasonallison1913 Sounds to me like the mix is way off. Instruments sound buried. Kick drum is too soft, snare is too loud, vocals sound out of tune at times. Looks based on the description that this may not have been produced by the same person who has produced their other stuff.

Even though I wasn't just a kid, I was in my 20s when this album became one of my musical guilty pleasures, I always found something I could relate to in this song, even as an adult. Maybe I'm just really messed up... Great job!
I was actually a kid back then, big first love with their music
They captured the crappy feelings of those years perfectly, I think. I would know because they were the most emotional and frustrating of my life. Then I felt a new level of difficulty as an adult. The best thing you can do is to hit your stride, which I think I finally have.
Is it just me or the audio mix sounds little bit different then usually? Specially audra´s singing. Different mic/studio?
It's not you, the vocal tracks are not tuned so she's flat/sharp in a bunch of places.

Believe it or not I just started listening to Simple Plan songs yesterdat after maybe years not doing it lol Perfect timing for this cover
To be honest: I didn't enjoy that cover that much like your other songs. Was it tuned down a half or even a full step so you needed to sing that low? Because it lacks a lot of the dynamic vocal-wise of the original song or it just doesn't fit the voice? Please don't hate me for that critics, but I felt I have to comment that. I really like what you're doing and following you since several years! Have a good one :-)

Dude, it's one of the simplest pop punk songs ever. Classic, but simple in the fact that any cover still sounds decent. Take off the nostalgia specs.
