Audra's vocal range is so amazing she covers songs by both male and female singers in their original pitch.🔥
Autotune is amazing like that. 😅
Although they did use quite a bit of tuning on this song. (idk why she doesn’t really need it) auto tune doesn’t change the tonal quality of your voice.
Occasionally she does stretch it too much in my opinion (mostly on 3 or 4 year old recordings) where a key change would play to her strength, but I'm not counting this one among those, I think it makes the MOST sense here for her to stay in the same key and stretch just a little low for the first verse and everything else fits her range best.

@@brianmckennamusic9434 I don't know why they use it either. Compare this one to their cover of sweet child o' mine, and a live version of the same. They're both excellent. For this one, change the key if needed, few will notice. But people will notice the over production. This said, still love them.
Haven't seen this good of a version of this song since the first time I saw Cars. Nailed it as usual.
I’d recommend Jonathan Young’s cover. Very similar to this in terms of style.

"Life Is a Highway" is a song by Canadian musician Tom Cochrane from his second studio album, Mad Mad World (1991). The song became a number-one hit in Canada in late 1991. "Life Is a Highway" also peaked at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1992 and reached the top three in Australia and New Zealand the same year.

@@bear_hardy2118 Rascal Flatts covered the song on the Cars soundtrack (pixar movie). i also have no idea why they're calling it a rascal flatts song or even calling it country b/c afaik rascal flatts did a pretty straight cover of the 90s anthem. rascal flatts is a country group. it didn't sound "country" to me, but I'm not a music guy. maybe there's a technical reason? /shrug
First it was Tom Cochrane who sang "Life Is A Highway", then Chris LeDoux, and then Rascal Flatts, but First To Eleven knocked it outta the park, a grand slam like their rock cover of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats"! 🤘💖
Also, Rascal Flatts eventually split up, and frontman Gary LeVox has a solo career now.

If you're a label and lurking here, this is what talent looks like. Staying true to the original song while adding your own flavor to it is incredibly difficult to pull off. Seriously impressive. One of the best covers I've ever seen

This video just perfectly summarises why I'm obsessed with this band. Discovered you guys January this year and I've unashamedly played you obsessively. The small intricacies in the instruments and Audra as a whole is just perfection. When Audra shows her positive, bubbly personality it just makes you want to move and rock out just like her. The whole band produces such an infectious sound that starts with Audra and it's impossible not to dance along. You guys know how to do the best covers.
