what a great man, great not only for his discoveries and co-founding contribution to the theory of Natural selection and Evolution but great for being a man of astonishing humbleness ....much respect for....... Alfred Russel Wallace
And due to the fact that he acknowledged a supreme guidance to the mystery of life.. the very fact that he believed in an intelligent guidance is the reason why he was blotted out from history
One of my life’s biggest inspirations. I feel so lucky to have been to his home in Ternate, to hike around the area in Sulawesi in the Bantimurung National Park where he stumbled upon those butterflies, to cross the Lombok and Makassar Straits several times each - marking the line named after him, and to chase down photo ops of birds of paradise in the islands around Papua that seemed to dazzle him so much. I know that his accomplishments are many. But the thing that draws me to him personally is the blueprint he laid out in his travels to build my own. I followed my childhood dream in large part because of what he did. I saw some of the most beautiful places and met some of the kindest people. And I do believe I owe much credit to him for those experiences. He helped me to discover the greatest love of my life - those wonderful islands of that amazing archipelago.
ah ok. I came across this video while looking for Bill Bailey's Jungle Hero program from the BBC. that was done for Wallace's birthday as well. I finished watching that and Sir David turned up at the end at a tribute for Wallace at the Natural History Museum. Bailey's 2-part program goes into a lot more detail about Wallace. some beautiful footage too, of birds of paradise etc, very enjoyable, worth watching.
Please learn English. What is the relationship between longitude and distance when travelling east or west parallel to the equator? Can you explain the principles behind the development and functioning of a gyrocompass? No evasions please, just straight answers.

A remarkable person. I spend time at his childhood home whenever I visit the doctors. His spirit lives on there.
We never forget his contribution towards biology thank u

Great man 😊🤞
is this an extract from a bigger program?
Not that I know. I think it's just a tribute of Mr. Attenborough for Mr. Wallace's birthday that I found on the BBC website.
