Somehow it got re edited to say September 5 but that aint what I remember. Its been 56 years. I was in high school in 1967.Memory might be wrong.

IT was very clever the way they did the plot twist and almost made the one arm man Innocent. thanks for posting this Robert Gordon Cheers
There was a big deal made about the final episode of MASH. But I remember that the Fugutive also had a final episode. The show had been on for years. They decided it needed a conclusion. I don't remember if it was a 2 parter or not. What I do remember is that my mother and one of her friends got together at her friend's house and we made a party of that last episode. Her friend had a color TV which was still very expensive at the time. Like my mother I was also a big fan of the series. The final episode was one of the highest rated shows (possibly THE highest) of it's time.
Part II here was a Canadian TV print. The real final line by narrator William Conrad was "Tuesday, August 29th. The day the running stopped." August 29th, 1967 was the ABC TV airdate in the USA. Canadians had to wait another week to watch the conclusion. Pre internet spoilers.
The final episode of the ABC drama series The Fugitive aired on August 29, 1967 in the United States. It was the year September 5th fell on a Tuesday, "the day the running stopped".
Thanks Sir for liking my comments. We all Pakistanis love Fugitive and also have much love for David Janssen . I think God sent him on earth to act as a Fujitive and no other actor would have acted like him, having a innocent face and great acting skills. How can we forget him and this lovely series Here we were shown this series for only two years, I wish I could see all the episodes . When the final two episodes were announced , for both days there were no people on streets and there was no traffic on roads May God give David Janssen place in Heaven. Is it still possible for us to watch all the episodes of Fugitive?
As a kid, my entire family anxiously waited every Tuesday night for a new episode.

This was a great TV Series... I'm glad I have it on DVD...even watch the reruns on ME-TV
GREATEST SHOW IN THE HISTORY OF MY LIFE !...THANKS ! SUBSCRIBED..
Also Berry Morse acted very nicely.
His character and acting made this series unforgettable.
Such an underatted and forgotten tv series.
My father and I were riveted for these last two episodes!
I,among many watched the final episode of the fugitive in 1967 and what I renember was William Conrad in a strong voice saying Tuesday August 29,1967 the running stopped. Somehow it got re edited to say September 5 but that aint what I remember. Its been 56 years. I was in high school in 1967.Memory might be wrong.
This is the version that aired in Canada a week later than in the US so they recorded narration with the later date.
july24, 2023 been looking to see this since 1966 seen most of the episodes I barely knew they were in color. Back in the day my family didn't have a color TV. It was also interesting to see Ocean Park POP I guess near the time is was torn down. Sigh that was a long time ago. IT was very clever the way they did the plot twist and almost made the one arm man Innocent. thanks for posting this Robert Gordon Cheers
I will always remember this scene.
Greatest TV drama show ever !!
Man I love that rifle J.D. Cannon had near the end. Looks like a Remington 700 with a Lyman aperture rear sight. That's old school.
He worked with Tom Baker(The 4th Doctor Who) in a rare American tv appearance on a 1984 episode of Remington Steele(Hounded Steele).
September 5th is the day the running stopped.
Thanks for this wonderful video!
Loved this show growing up.
The last 2 episodes were must see TV
1:41:36 - “Tuesday, September 5th: The day the running stopped.”
The September date was recorded for the Canadian broadcast. In the U.S, August 29th was the day the running stopped.
If you remember it was Tuesday August 29th the day the running stopped
It was August 29th
I think it was the most watched episode in the history of TV at the time
And the final episode of the series.
The final episode of the ABC drama series The Fugitive aired on August 29, 1967 in the United States. It was the year September 5th fell on a Tuesday, "the day the running stopped".
Nice palm trees in Indiana!
An old amusement park on the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica. Torn down then burned down horrendously in the '70s.
They may have been plastic. That could explain it. Or Stafford is in Southern Indiana to explain the “California Hills “in Indiana
@@MrJacMac1968 There is no Stafford Indiana. It was a fictional city. The amusement park was on a Hollywood set.
Thanks Sir for liking my comments.
We all Pakistanis love Fugitive and also have much love for David Janssen .
I think God sent him on earth to act as a Fujitive and no other actor would have acted like him, having a innocent face and great acting skills.
How can we forget him and this lovely series
Here we were shown this series for only two years, I wish I could see all the episodes .
When the final two episodes were announced , for both days there were no people on streets and there was no traffic on roads
May God give David Janssen place in Heaven.
Is it still possible for us to watch all the episodes of Fugitive?
Thank you for sharing Robert
