That's a TON of baits!! Big thanks to Terry Scroggins & Josh Clark for making this happen.
Thanks for inspiring me to start my own fishing channel
@@gavinsoutdoors1076 my pleasure man...good luck with your baits.
@@WorldsWorstFishing thanks you make great content in your vids
Another GREAT video Chris!
*Altogether a well made lure **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s the skirt seems to stay on well and the whole thing is bigger than I thought it would be. The 2 metal have a nice plating on them as well.*
Best episode of "How it's Made"! 👍😃
Hahaha
This was a great episode! My favorite part is the endless glitter covering everything 😂
It would be epic to get in there with a strong blower haha
Looks more like a stripper exploded rather than a bait shop! Lol
That was cool to see indeed. The former production side of me was screaming...shut it down, we're gonna clean this place up! 😄 Glad you mentioned their scrap. I was wondering what they do with rejects. 👍👊🎣
Yeah they ain't too worried about being tidy haha..scraps don't go to waste thankfully.
RIGHT !!!! what a shit hole
If you ever think of braving the frozen north (seriously our lakes are frozen now) my mother in law works for Pure Fishing, AKA Berkley, which does all the the GULP and Powerbait products in Spirit Lake IA. and walking through there is a blast! I think I have the coolest mom in law... I get to test a lot of things that you can't buy.
Dude that's awesome...I've always liked the fact that pure fishing makes their own stuff.
Much bigger facility than what we have, always great to see bait making on done on a larger scale. Thanks for the video .
*Great item. First cast out of the package caught a nice bass. Pulls smooth in the water and sets up nicely immediately upon retrieval. Worth adding to your tackle box.*
Very cool! I have always wondered what those facilities looked like during production. Quite different than I thought it would be!
yeah its all about numbers and production..those machines are verrrrry expensive.
That's awesome! Those molds were massive! I couldn't imagine making baits on such a large scale. I just hope to and would just like to start making them at home.
yeah it was awesome to visit this plant.
@@WorldsWorstFishing I bet! It was very interesting!
I fish a lot of 15" and 16" ribbon tail worms and now I know why there aren't very many companies making them, the mold would be huge!
The mold would be the same size, you would just have fewer cavities
Crazy, I wouldn't have thought it was this cool!
It's definitely pretty awesome
Awesome tour Chris!
I was curious to see how they shoot those colored tail baits (doa shrimps) in a production facility, however, I suppose it is a proprietary process that you were not able to shoot....
they shoot it together actually..no snipping or anything. I tried to get footage of it but I was a little limited in what I was allowed to film.
@@WorldsWorstFishingThanks, that was my understanding that it is industry secret!
Great video Chris, Thanks for the field trip. It was great!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep casting!!!!!
My pleasure
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing... incredible setup, it's amazing the amount of product they can produce
its crazy....thousands and thousands per day
Yes sir enjoyed this very much. The production side is very different and very interesting.
very different..very awesome to see first hand.
Very impressed. Dam I'm just a flea.
Compared to them
Me 2!
Great show today. Maybe someday I can tour their plant. It would be so fun.
Thanks..yeah it was a cool experience. Super nice people there.
Love this video their is some serious machines i this set up and all of these people who work here are very dedicated people . I love these lure making people all the moulds some serious money put in to this business wicked video made by the world's worst fishing show 👍 👌
The guy holding the mold, you could see his face he's telling you guys to hurry up LOL
Do you know who makes the big totes of plastic that they were using in this video?
Color technologies
Great video! Thanks for making.
Thanks for watching
Wow, just wow.
Pretty cool stuff in there
I'm trying to talk my wife into buying one of those machines. I might need another house for all the shoes and bags she will buy if I do lol.
Let me guess Josh is camera shy Great video man. watching you're videos is so cool.. keep it up
He's in the next two videos much more..but yeah not quite as talkative on camera as someone like scroggins.
When you start your own company on a large scale... hire me !!!! 🙏🏽
Yeah me too dog. I'm great at testing. And creating hype.
Great Video Chris. That's really what I want to do. Big time bait production. It would be so much work but I think it would be so fun.
it def looks like fun! Really cool process
That was cool to see how they make baits
yeah it was insane!
Such a cool video! Wish we could’ve seen the D.O.A. Process!
yeah I was a little limited on what I could film
@@WorldsWorstFishing technically they shouldn't have allowed you to film our snake worm process without asking. But I'm a nice guy so...
Did it smell like plastisol in there? Do those bigger production machines have the fumes get pumped out somehow? That was a sick video!
the plastic stays within hoses..no fumes at all in there hardly.
For them guys to allow you into there shop man BIG SHOUT OUTS to them guys! I would buy there baits just for that reason. I was a big fan of #ReactionInnovation and wanted to know one color combo and they wouldn't tell me so i wasted a bunch of plastisol trying to get that color. And i told them i can't buy no more of there baits for a while cause i had to waste plastisol. They don't realize how much it means to a guy like me just to help with that color. All it did was pushed me away from there products! Shout outs to them guys man. Thanks for sharing Chris
Thanks so much for watching
Very cool and I’ve never made baits just use the heck out them
my only complaint was it ended too soon. I wanted more! Awesome vid as usual Chris
Yeah I wanted to film a lot more but I was limited on what I could film.
awesome dude I love to see that side of things
Yes it was really cool to finally get to see it.
Very cool to see!
yeah it was sweet
That was interesting. Thanks
My pleasure.
Great video. Really interesting.
Thank you
This fascinates me thanks for sharing!
its really cool! they can pump out thousands and thousands a day.
World's Worst Fishing in my dreams that I could do this
@@outdoorswithmollyk you can do it at home.
World's Worst Fishing yes your videos inspired me to start a youtube and make my own baits but on a career professional level
Excelentes videos saludos desde Monterrey México
I'd love to see you try peacock bass in that big hand pour mold.
I just did a peacock bass color...check.it out on my Instagram
I found the conditions of that “shop” disturbing.....lol. It would be interesting to see what Yamamoto or Berkeley looks like in comparison.
Haha...well I guess after 40 years they quit worrying about being tidy.
if you knew the owners you would understand why it looked that way
That was awesome I've never seen that
It was really cool!
Great vid man
Thank you
I’m from Jacksonville Florida! Was there my whole life until 4 years ago when I moved to Ohio.
I love going to Jax...tons of things to do there.
I take my wife down every year. She is from here in Ohio. She loves the mosaic tile wall under the Main Street bridge on the river walk. We actually got married down there this past August in Middleburg
I would rather buy baits from someone like you I like the caring and quality better
SO SO Cool 😎
Thank you
You're very welcome
Where is air and moisture taken out during the process? In those big heated injectors?
Teknoloji 👌👌👍
As a machinist that is a crazy price for the molds.
Great video
That’s cool!
its incredible to see
Very interesting
yeah its pretty awesome to see
I can't even fathom how big Culprits facility is.
Cool. One question Chris. Do they degas at any point? I was surprised by how vigorously the mix it. Thx.
nope no degas...the plastic is cooked very quickly and then immediately shot...hardly any bubbles somehow haha. we took some of the same exact plastisol they use and poured with it a Terrys house and got bubbles..something about the way they cook it doesnt bubble it in those heat exchangers.
@@WorldsWorstFishing So bubbles are just for the lil guys..lol. Must be a conspiracy.
@@Tam58851520 haha something like that
REAL COOL VIDEO
Wow
love your videos bro
thank you man
Shoot, I wanna edge in on that reject pile lol
First comment. Chris rocks.
Thanks so much man
Wow that's so cool, but how do they do those laminates or DOA tails? Like is there a person that cuts each one
The mold is setup to shoot the body and the tails together..I wasn't able to film it.
that price change lol 4 baits for 150$ or 20 baits for 6500$ gotta love that markup on molds that they know u making income off
Where at in Jacksonville Florida is that at can anybody buy from there?
they didnt want me to say the name of the plant...you don't buy baits from them, they are a third party injection company that shoots the baits for other brands.
they are out of business now anyways. this was Soft Plastics of Florida. owners were a$$h01es that left their customers out to dry. DOA was part owner and Soft Plastics owed them so much money they ended up going under. I had to sneak down there under the cover of darkness to retrieve my molds before their doors were padlocked.
Insane!
agree!
That pigment is Screen Print Plastisol Ink. I recognize all of that from mixing screen printing ink... which is PVC based.
Yes sir...crazy how similar all that stuff is
@@WorldsWorstFishing all the new Plastisol is phthalate free too. I still have some old on the shelf, Wilflex, Union, One Stroke are the ones I used most. You can thin them down with plasticizer... I may get into this and try it.
Toured the Lake Fork Bait Company in Emory, TX. Very interesting and super nice owners!! Enjoy your videos.
they have a clean operation! saw it in LFG's video..thats cool that you got to visit
That concentrated pigment looks a lot like plastisol for screen printing shirts.
they are very similar materials
that's exactly what it is
Look I love ur videos I'm thinking of starting to make my own soft plastics I really only have $150 maybe to start with .
how do u Suggest I go about that please point me in the right direction
150 won't cut it. 500 minimum to get started
So are you going to try Lake Apopka?
no we went to lake Griffin though on the harris chain.
Not bad,it was my idea translate to russian on facebook ha ha
cool video :) would like more like it :)
that place looks like a chop shop
Why dont you get it by the 55 gallon drum anymore?
I use about 4 different blends of plastic..dont need 55 gal of each at a time.
Those are 275 gallon toats I may be wrong about the spelling but this isn't a spelling contest lol 😆
Soooooooo yeahhhhhh...wheres that crawfish bait at hahahha I just had made a few orders with Josh and was trying to get a custom craw mold made just 2 days ago but he told me he doesnt do custom anymore but it's ok I went buy the xlt craw mold hahah
the new punch craw bait will be up for sale this coming week! it's already tried and true ha
Well I'm over here in south Louisiana and if anyone has a good crawfish bite its definitely us haha hell if you make it look good enough you might even end up with your buddy on the other end of the pole hahaha
Man now you have me just refreshing the angleing A.I page 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ hahah ... but my grandmother lives about 30ish mins away from Jackson in stark fl. And I think my dads about to move back also so I might have to go see about them monsters yall have lurking
@@anthonydunn9414 yeah come on down
I'll definitely give you a shout if I do that's for sure oh how I love to throw some frogs me 🎣🎣
What's the new mold out 😍
It should be up by Wednesday
@@WorldsWorstFishing that makes me so happy! Just getting into shooting baits and will ordering molds soon :) I'll have to check them out!
How do they degass that much plastic?
They don't .. it gets heated very fast and then immediately injected..very little bubbles.
Soft popper elastech like pencil popper with a paddle tail worm ass. Mold it from a hard plastic popper cut all metals off. Glue the paddle worm on like a fin. Create a mold poor soft plastic indestructable plastics. and sell them all to me 😉 ill send you the perfect hard lure ups if you would send me some when finished. Ill actually send you a few hard too waters , if you would send me some of what i imagined.
The lady had no idea how many cavities were in that mold. For her was another day at work and that's it.
haha i'd probably be the same after years of it
That's why traffic comes are salty
Haha I reckon
You look like smalls from the sandlot 😆
That's quite the compliment lol
Bout time..... I was getting bored watching other videos....😂
Haha well I appreciate that!! The old videos ain't too bad lol
World's Worst Fishing! No I meant othe you tube videos. Like other people. I watch several of yours over.
😂😂😂😂 you said stripers are not bass.
way too commercial lol...
Elaborate
I would rather watch them make the plastic worm then watching you flip your jaw
next time i'll just set the camera up and leave it running then.
I disagree, not knowing shit and very new to this, it’s nice to hear the narration.
@@slablife uuuuuuu got it!
