There are a few stories that I remember the Squirrel reading that I'd like to find again. Can anybody, Agro or otherwise, help me out? 1) A cat is interviewed about the fate of mankind and it ends up saving us all... and the dog doesn't even get a chance to get interviewed! 2) The old gods, Odin, Thor, Zeus etc. are still barely clinging to existence, but humanity decided to give our warships their names. This gives them enough power to influence things in humanity's favor when things are dire. 3) There's a library somewhere, and it's extremely well hidden. The second human to find it strolls up looking for a certain... video. There's a hilarious punchline when he finds out why the first human sought out this hidden monastery/library.
@@anathardayaldar same as m8, I’d probably remember if I had read it in a real anthology made of good old trees ! ! ! More of a chance but far from certain. Random question to anyone :- Know of a good stuff similar to Alistair Reynolds “chasm city “ pigs like Scorpio , similar time period . Any of A. Reynolds short stories in various anthology books . Thanks !!!
way to kick me in the feelings. Here is a like and comment for the story, for entertaining me, to help your channel grow, to appease the great and powerful UA-cam algorithm demon, and get you the recognition you deserve.
1/3 was unusable to their race, so enough food for 7 passengers stretched to 75 days would mean 10 days rations for the 7 passengers more or less. Which, on an escape pod expecting fairly rapid discovery, sounds more than fair.
And possibly they were expecting that they'd be able to scavenge from either other life pods. Or from the remains of the bigger ship in the original designs of the escape Pods@@liwojenkins
Great and sad story; Excellent narration! Was Agro warning us about the secret Onion Ninja army or sending it out to attack us? I guess we'll never know... 😢
I know this is a random question for video like this but on my phone I don’t have HD and I got up at 370p does anyone know why that might be I’m on my phone so it doesn’t go any higher
So far, nobody wrote a disparaging comment about this story, despite the 18+ thumbs down. But I will. I get it: This is a story about holding out hope and enduring hardship and tragedy. Still, I'd argue the story seems a bit pointless. Worse, it did not seem to fit the HFY label, making the title click-baity. And while it did have a somewhat satisfying ending... it really was not much of an ending at all. Seems downright lazy to summarize an ending with a couple sentences about detecting a distress beacon and finding 1 life form... *The End*
Damn the onion ninjas. Many thanks.
Yeah damn onion ninjas.

For the ALGORITHM! Well that was a tear jerker. Think I'm going to need to hunt those onion ninjas down.
0:08 that spaceman has his helmet on backwards
Sad but beautiful story. Well written, well read.
Thank you for the onion warning.

ooo... these sound fun.. I want to know when they are found too.
3rd one it was a porno film wasn’t it .
I don't think I remember a single title to any of the hundreds of HFY stories I've heard.

Bad planning on mission control. Sweet and bitter ending.
That was both an interesting concept and well written.
I wish someone made a story dedicated to or even a mention of the group Fuel Rats from Elite Dangerous.
Ironic that the one that didn't believe help would come would be the one rescued.
A well written story. Never quit and never give up hope are a couple of the things I have learned. WITH ENERGY!!
Always forward, never back.
thanks for the story and narration
onions indeed
Dang onion ninjas are at it again.
Amazing story thank you for the narration ❤
98 days (if anyone was wondering and didn't want to count them)
Hope he made it and could tell their story.
Dang. She could have been just 2 days short of rescue.
@GEWB2105 TT_TT
You made me cry! And my tears are all wet!!!
Thank you.
THank you for the onion warning.
So it was built to hold 20 passengers, and crew?less then 3 months rations for 2? But1/3 was unusable. Sad she didn’t make it.

what does the (onions) in the title mean?
*Apparently,* it refers to the "Ninjas cutting onions" meme, which is also a slang term for crying while watching something tear jerking.
