Yeah Argentines were far better..the way they played the game, it should have been like 3-0 or 4-0 victory over France but a little luck & mbape kept them alive to get able to extend the game...there were few hiccups in between but at the end of the day the better team won & they deserved it

I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in when it comes to this debate regarding messi goat status. I have seen people rep every single player in the world from Pele to Ronaldinho, from maradona to George vest, and even those in the running like ronaldo and mbappe. I can say that out of all those players, I've seen very few with the talent to prove theyre the best and yet not show any signs of arrogance or anything of the sort. I believe this man knows his limitations, being the shortest of men in a game of giants, being unable to get it done on his own, and yet time after time, game after game, year after year, he perseveres and is able to make the impossible. I'm not an argentina fan and I'm not a messi superfan, yet I appreciate how much of a talent this man is. Being unable to start a team because he was short and yet still getting an opportunity to play with one of the best teams and then carry that team to greatness. But in the end, I truly believe he's the best simply because of his celebration at the end, he's not crying, or showboating (like a certain undeserving goalie) he's simply taking it all in and just plain happy. When he's looking at the world cup after hoisting it up with his team, you can see him looking over it, turning it to look at every detail, because at that moment he transformed back into that little boy who was interviewed long ago, praising maradona as his hero and making a wish that he would like to win the world cup for his country.
